I LOVE MOON PALACE!!! They have really worked with me. My wedding date is June 19, 2010! I have about 45-50 people that will be coming to my wedding and should have about 25 rooms booked. I am already working with a wedding coordinator. Whenever, I send an email I always get a quick response. The people that are going haven't really complained about the prices, they have thought that it was a really good deal for being all inclusive. We are booking directly through Moon Palace. By the way...I am having my reception in one of the ballrooms...has anyone else used a ballroom? I plan on getting the Gold Level DJ with canned lights in the room. Does anyone know if the DJ's are any good? I feel very sorry for those that are not happy with moon palace... HAPPY PLANNING TO ALL OF THE 2010 BRIDES! AND I HOPE THAT ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. ASHLEY FROM INDIANAPOLIS!

I am another June bride. The time is ticking!!! I sent out my STD in September and believe or not I ordered my invitations to be mailed out in February. I have two wedding dresses. One is for the party. 3 out of 5 bridesmaids has ordered their dresses. I have selected the wedding site at Moon Palace and the reception. I will have a welcome dinner the night before. It has been selected too. I also will have a luncheon/rehearsal for the wedding party on Friday the day before. I am expecting around 75 people to attend. I will not have a AHR because my husband is in the army and we will be traveling to live in Hawaii. So I am having all the trimmings in Mexico. I will not start on the OOT bags until April, when I have a final count. But I have already started buying things for it .

What I like especially was the husband-wife team... The prices were very reasonable and you don;t have to pay for traveling cost.... That is why I chose them too.

You should get the unlimited if you have more than 75 nights. But this is only true if you have a written contract. I signed a contract with that information on it. I know others on this site is upset with Moon Palace because they are not honoring it but they do honor it if it is in a contract signed. Unfortunately, most of these people are using TA's that are not aware of the extras. So please be patient and see if MOon Palace will honor without contract. I hope others see this and know that you must have everything in writing beforehand then there will be no confusion. Good luck...

But he is not from the states....he lives in Mexico, but I know he has done tons of MP weddings... Anyone else have this issue? Anyone think it will really be a problem as long as I book him a room? Worried cause I already love him and booked him Ashley, For my wedding I have an outside photographer. I am paying for them as guest at the hotel for two nights. If you pay for the nights stay then they will be treated as guest who are taking pictures at your wedding. Ashley Wedding date on June 19, 2010 at MP

HELLO ALL BRIDES!! CONGRATS AND HAPPY WEDDING PLANNING! My wedding is at the Moon Palace on June 19th! I can't believe that its only 5 months away. So far I have had a great response from the staff at Moon Palace. Excellent! We have organized to have our wedding on the Tuscan Gazebo and I plan on having a large reception in the Sunrise Ballroom. I am looking to have various table arrangements (FLOWERS), gobo lights, ceiling drapes, elegant lighting, full service D.J, Dinner....the works. I would like to get some input from brides that have used any of the ballrooms, please let me know your opinions and which ballroom you used... I honestly can't wait until the wedding planning is over...this has been a lot of work. lol. I also wanted to share our wedding website which shares information about how we are letting our guest reserve their rooms online directly with moon palace. Feel free to use any information. I will extend all updates of my experience (like's and dislikes as well) on this website

What are your wedding colors / wedding theme?
ashnic2005 replied to lalanyc's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Watermelon Pink is the color for me. So I am having watermelon pink/silver/ivory. My dress will be ivory. Tuxes will be black. My affair will be formal under the gazebo on the beach with a reception in the ballroom. I am not having a at home reception so I am making this a grand affair. My theme will be Hollywood on the Beach with bling bling... -
I think I have Maribel Blancarte. She has been very helpful but there has been times that Lily has stepped in and answered some of my questions. I believe Maribel is the assistant so I am not sure exactly who is the WC. Lilly Sanchez works also with the decocancun company on Moon Palace Site. So if you are wanting special arrangements, she works with that too.

I hope this isn't a true reflection of the hotel and their customer service Sounds like you needed to investigate the packages offered by the Hotel before you book it with the TA. I found on the internet that some free additions are not offered to the Tour operator or TA only through the hotel. So good luck.. Hopefully, things will work out. I booked through the hotel and got a contract that stated everything that is part of the package including all freebies.

Recent Email response from my WC ________________________________ Regarding season flowers for June we do have roses of any color, gerber lilies, stargueizer, the measurements for the tucan aisle are: 10.50 meters long by 1.35 meters length In order to book venues please confirm. usually the Resort is the one that decorates the gazebo according to your specifications in case you want something different than the options we do have the décor company is able to handle it with a surcharge.

How low did the rates drop. I have been working with my WC. Her name is Maribel. She has been putting everything in my file that I am wanting. The only thing that I am frustrated with is the flowers. I wish we could get a better deal on real flowers. I am not a fan of fake flowers but it could be a option for part of the wedding party. I am wanting flowers at the ceremony down the aisles. Simple flowers in a ball will cost around $110.00 each and that does not include the stands!!!! And it will be carnations not roses. That is riduculous!!! I was told that there will be more options when I get there but I really want to get a feel for the prices. I do have in possession the flower arrangements available but nothing interest me there. My wedding site will be at the Tuscan. It is located at the far end on the Nuzic side. Most of our wedding party will be on the Sunrise side . Since we have a lot of young people, I think they would prefer that side. There is a lot of action...Plus the reception will be in the ballroom on the Sunrise side. So we will start off on the Nuzic and end up on the Sunrise side. I am thinking about using the event planners that Moon Palace uses for decorations of the ballroom. We are wanting colors and drapery on the walls. I also want the monogram on the runners at the ceremony as well as the monogram on the wall in the ballroom. We decided that June is too hot to have the reception outside so that is why I am spending a little more on a more formal reception. we are not having a at home reception. we are expecting around 80 people to attend our wedding in Cancun. I am using an outside photographer too. I believe that the pictures are the lasting memories of that day so I want someone that will create that moment to last forever. Anyone else get flower quotes outside the packages? I was really wanting the fireworks but what I have heard, it is not worth the money. My wedding ceremony will take place at 5pm and the cocktails will be at 6pm and dinner at 700pm.
