  1. I'm going to have to agree with Rachel..... I know that my reception is going to be an all out PARTY!!!! We still going to have the traditional wedding reception things but we also plan on all our guest having a great time. After all the reason for the whole trip is "Our Wedding"
  2. I'm in for season 10! i've been stalking this thread hoping that there would be one....lol
  3. I'm not that worried about it FI (who is from JA) say's we should be okay... I'm with wendyjd... we can always move it inside... I've already spoke with my resort about there back up location in case of rain. She claims they have never had a wedding rained out but says they are prepared for it.

Nope haven’t done it before… I’m natural but the fiancé wants me to get a perm and I know I wont do that so I figure this is the next best thing….I’m thinking of doing it right before I go maybe late sept or oct… I was thinking of getting it done early but at the same time I want it to be a complete surprise for him. He’s probably going to JA before me because he has family there so I was thinking I’d get it done then… I’m still debating this though… because I also think that I wanna know what the effect is going to be on my own hair and if it will take… ugh the choices us brides have to make… it’s so stressful.
  5. is anyone getting a Brazilian Keratin Treatment for their wedding? if so how far in advance are you having it done?
  6. She's my photographer too!!! love her work and she's really nice.
  7. Thanks for all the help ladies. I was not going to do AHR at all at first. But I knew there was going to be family from California that would not be able to make or Jamaica wedding and people in Florida (where we live) that wont be able to make it so we then decided that we were going to have a send off party.. However, after reading this it kinda just makes more sense to have it after so people will be able to see wedding pictures and videos.. so I think we will just have BBQ in both states.
  8. Have a GREAT TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait to see pictures!
  9. I LOVE your centerpieces… I think I might have to duplicate them… I’ve seen them with out the light at the bottom but the light really makes them pop as centerpieces!!!!! saving to wedding collection on my pc.
  10. Meredith, I feel your pain… hopefully this thread will help us out. I also have no clue what do with my natural hair and my fiancé has stated that he would like me to wear my “real” hair for the wedding (ugh) I don’t have a perm so I fear that I will end up with a big afro in Jamaica. I’m sure we will figure out something before are big day. Do you have any idea at all of if you want your hair all up, down, half up and half down…. I’m trying to make that decision and then go from there…..
  11. I would personally send invitation out to everyone and let them make the choice on if they do not want to spend the money to come. I’m not exactly sure what the proper etiquette is just giving my two cents. I know that for my wedding we sent invitation to everyone I know for a fact that some of the people that I invited will only be attending the AHR but I still felt obligated to send them invitation. However, my invitation or DIY and I’m not ordering them so I did have to worry about spending the money on them.
  12. This is a good idea I’m having lanterns and I hadn’t even thought about how I was going to light them… now I know… another project for my bm. Thanks
  13. So my MOH seems to think that if I have rose petals on the beach they are going to fly away… has any one used rose petals on the beach and had this type of problem? Thanks
