Yes, you might have to call the company directly and let them know specifically what kind of car you want...because the times that we have rented cars we do it on-line and just select "compact car" and we get whatever is available when we arrive. Hope you have a GREAT time on your first trip to Cabo Let me know how it goes.

DH and I are considering a trip to Cabo and staying at the Misiones resort. Has anyone heard of this resort or had any experience with it? It's outside of downtown Cabo about 4 miles towards Todos Santos. I searched the board and found one post about there being a nice quiet swimmable beach at the resort, and also a nice restaurant. Here are my other Cabo questions: 1) is the water warm or cold? 2) what's a good company to rent a car from, and is there parking at the major tourist attractions (e.g. if we want to go to Mango Deck, will we be able to get parking somewhere near it?) 3) what are some "must see" or "must dos" in Cabo that you would recommend? 4) are there places to rent surf boards or is it better to bring out own? Thanks so much ladies Happy new year!! Good luck to all the 2010 brides! Hi Janet. I'm not too familiar with Misiones resort, but do know that Todos Santos is at least 40min-1hr away from Cabo San Lucas. To answer a few of your other questions: 1) Depending on what time of the year u go, but for the most part the weather in Cabo is pretty warm so it keeps the water warm during the day. 2)There are many car rental places inside the airport, but make sure u use the companies that are still within the airport sliding doors and not the time share people that are immediately outside the sliding doors once u pass customs. My suggestion would be to book your car rental in the US to avoid all the time share hassels. 3)There isn't anything I've done in cabo that has dissapointed me in 4yrs. I'm a big foodie so if it comes to food I would recommend the following restaurants: Mi Casa (best authentic mexican food, I think), Golondrinas (good food, ambiance, and outside setting), Sunset Da Mona Lisa (is a MUST in my opinion....great food and breathtaking views). 4) Sorry...not much of a surfer, so I wouldnt know how to answer this one I hope this helps! Good luck )

  5. Hi there. I'm almost certain they do not offer all-inclusive packages. But you can contact Viviana @ the Sheraton and I'm sure she will be able to answer that for you... [email protected]
  6. Yayyyyyyyy!!!! Glad you were able to negotiate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is just so frustrating. I have since been looking into cupcakes, which my guests can help themselves to, in order to get away from the serving fee to save some money. I never saw myself with cupcakes for my wedding, but I think that is all I am going to be able to afford. It is just frustrating. Ohhhhh no sorry to hear about the frustration....yes, that would drive me crazy!!!! This is the main reason why we wanted to have our wedding at a site were we would be able to choose our own vendors. Awww Nicole there is nothing wrong with cupcakes. I am sure that whatever you decide to go with it will still be amazing!!!!!! Don't let this little set back ruin your day
  8. Hi Nicole. $9/pp...ouch!!!!!!! That is pretty expensive! We are getting aour cake made by Jennifer Hatton (aka The Dessert Diva)....we are getting a 3-layer, dual flavor cake and it is $4.75/pp. We had our cake tasting with her @ her home last month and let me tell you her flavors are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Back in June we had a cake tasting of another very popular baker in Cabo and we were not impressed with the flavors....could not distinguish one flavor from the other. Here is Jennifer's contact info if you are interested. Cabo Dessert Diva - Jennifer Hatton- powered by SmugMug

  10. Hi there. I am getting married at the Sheraton next June. I have not heard of any of the vendors you mentioned, but I believe I have seen some of Gabriel Garcia's work and it looks very nice. We hired DJ Mijares. Good luck )
