  1. jmb0902- I just got an email from Ceclia stating some of her packages. Would you like me to PM it to you?
  2. My my my....there sure is a lot of sparkle goin on up in here! *puts on sun shades so she can see better* There, now that I can see the keys on my laptop better hehehehehe I figure that I have to stop lurking and maybe get around to posting my own pics. Here's hoping it works out, even though I had trouble capturing the fire and brilliance of the stones. I guess you guys will get the gist of it.... from the sides you can see the two tone appearance of the 18 KW/Y Gold, and the peek-a-boo diamonds. Then, on the inside is the designer's mark with a little diamond. I believe the ring itself is half carat, and the diamond- which we acquired separately- is about 3cts. It's a radiant, and it's supposed to have a crushed ice appearance, but my camera didn't seem to want to capture that. lol My FH is not keen on us taking this ring plus my wedding band, which will have diamonds in it as well, down to Mexico, so we have purchased a CZ bridal set for me to wear while I am on any trips. I have pics of that set below as well. Everything looks wayyyy better in person though. Guess I'm a better med student than I am photographer! LMAO [photos removed for size]
  3. michelle, I thought of asking for a manager but was so humilated to be made to feel the way I did, that it was all I could do to get out of the store. Really, if you saw me, you'd swear I was lying about being a 14 or 16. My trouble area (we all have them I suppose) is just my back. And I'm really self concious about it. To have her- a girl who was easily 4 inches shorter than me and easily 2-3 sizes larger- making fun of not being able to zip me up with another associate just made me feel ugly. I actually went home and cried and called my FH and asked how he could love a fat cow like me. Needless to say, DFH implemented the 'DB will get NONE of our money for the wedding rule'. Have you tried calling their corporate offices to complain? I just ordered my dress from DB even though they had my size/dress on the rack. I have to say,, out of the 4 bridal stores I hit that day, they were the nicest and most helpful even though they were very busy. I hope this can get straigtened out for you P.S I am sure a lot of us would love to have the dillema of choosing between a size 0 or 2!!! Lucky girl!
  4. Rach, Isn't it sad that DB has such a hold on the market that sometimes you feel almost forced to HAVE to buy from them for things no matter your experiences there? I'm still tempted to write a letter (as if anyone would care, lmao) so that the for that consultant. They will NOT get my business for one cent for anything for my wedding. I already found my dress- which one day I will get around to posting pics of- at a more upscale/normal bridal salon here in town. I'm having it converted to a corset back, which fits my curvy figure MUCH better, but it was originally 1500- I got the store sample for $600. KA-CHING! Nikki Quote: Originally Posted by rach220 OMG! If anyone is interested in an update, my DB dress (size 2) is still sitting in my closet. I need to make an appointment for alterations soon, as I'm coming up on 2 months. I guess I'm just not super-excited to wear it. I do love it, but I was hoping something else would come along (in my pricerange) that I love more, but that just hasn't happened. I'm also having an issue because the BM dresses I want are from DB, and I'm debating whether or not to give them any more money!
  5. Monique, Can you PM me with directions? I know you said the 'very sexy' was already on there, but where did you get the 'bride' rhinestones? And girl, that tank is definitely divalicious! Nikki
  6. I sent Tiffany a PM but now see she is banned. So who is keeping track of who's coming and making sure the details are sent to all that are interested? Does that fall to you TammyB?
  7. I don't want to hijack the thread, but I will agree, I HATE DB as well. To type out the whole story would take forever, but let's just say that when I was in there with a very close friend of mine helping her look for dresses the associate we got was more than helpful and kind and what not. She even let me try on two dresses that at the time I thought would be 'the' dress for me- should my then BF propose. After said BF proposed and became FH she and I went back to the store. We had the SAME consultant. First, she rushed me to look through the catalog and start finding dresses I liked. Then, she didn't bring over half of them. I am bigger than my friend, she's about a 4-6, I wear about a 14-16. I'm not a huge girl, but I am bigger. Where it shows is really in my breasts and I have back fat (ugh! that's a whole 'nother post for a whole 'nother day). Well when my friend was trying on dresses, the consultant (who is NOT a small girl herself- in fact she's larger than me because she's shorter) made sure to explain to her that wedding gowns run small and brought sizes that were larger to make sure they'd fit. With me, she made sure to bring me gowns in 12's and 14's, which we all know here- your street size and your wedding gown size ain't gonna be the same thing. So basically I had to try on a bunch of gowns that didn't fit and after a while it was demoralizing. I kept asking her if she had the gowns in a little bit bigger of sizes and she'd just keep telling me 'oh no, that gown doesn't come in plus sizes' or 'we don't have that gown here in plus sizes' or 'a 14 is the largest size this gown comes in'. At some point, I came out and was standing on the pedastal and she was writing stuff down and not even trying to help lace me up or zip me or anything. I stood there with my back open to the whole store waiting for her help. And when I asked for it, she got an attitude. In one gown, I had come out and was waiting to be laced up, and she asked another consultant to borrow some clips, and was like "I can't zip this one up either" so the other consultant came over and they both started making faces and snickering trying to zip this too small gown up on me. I nearly started crying right then and there. In a nuthsell, DB did not get my money. My friend had already ordered her gown- but she decided DB would not get any extra money and actually changed her BM's gowns to another brand with another company rather than give DB her business.
