Here's my ring! We got engaged May 13th. Long story short, my fiance hid the ring taped under our hutch in our dining room. With the humidity it must've fell and my Boston Terrier Booger must have gotten ahold of the box. I came home from work and saw my female Boston Terrier Chloe chewing on a ring box. So I yelled upstairs to my fiance asking him if he knew why Chloe would be chewing on a ring box and he ran downstairs and told me that was my ring. He found my ring with the other half of the box in Booger's crate!! He turned around and said "this isn't the way I wanted to ask you but will you marry me?" And got down on one knee! I was completely shocked! He said I wanted it to be spontaneous. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal. Ring.doc

I actually had to change my date to May 1, 2011! April 23rd in 2011 is the day before Easter and that would be the week of school vacation. Not such a good idea! How exciting Amber! I'm so happy for you. Can anyone tell me how I would add my monogram to the thread? Also, I don't know how to post a new thread. Any help would be appreciated. I also have pics of my dress that I would love to show you ladies.

Let's just say the ring is an after thought for us right now. lol Last May my boyfriend and I picked out my setting which he bought on the spot. I've been waiting almost a year for him to propose to no avail. I do know that my ring is done (diamond added) but have no idea when he's planning on asking me. We have our wedding booked at the resort and we've been having deep discussions about the wedding for the past two months. SO to me, we're engaged. Once I'm officially engaged I would say it'll give us a year and a half to plan.

vgirl17, I'm so glad I'm not alone in the wine department! I'm hoping too that this thread really gets me motivated. I find that weighing in on Friday mornings is best for me. You can kind of drink as much wine as you want on the weekend but then be super good during the week and see weight loss when you step on the scale the following week. Weighing in on Friday mornings has been great.

Hi ladies! I've been on WW about 4 times. I've done the meetings 3 times and stopped each time and have done the at-home version about 5times. I lost 10lbs before my vacation to Jamaica in February but gained it all back. My problem is alcohol. I'm a wino! I love wine!!! I also know that the key to even more weight loss in addition to WW is exercising and I can't get motivated for either right now. My FI and I are getting married in April 2011 so I have plenty of time to lose but I'd like to start losing now. It's a struggle everyday. Keep up the good work ladies!

Hi Agirolamo, I too am getting married in 2011. I'm going to send my STDs out exactly one year to the day of getting married. Also, only our closest friends and my FI's mom are attending so we'll know exaclty who is going before hand. We've started to spread the word already and have about 12 definites. We are having 20 people max. After sending my STDs I'm going to create our wedding website with all information listed such as location, dates, hote information and estimated pricing. Once we know exactly who is coming and it gets closer to us leaving, we'll send each person that booked a welcome package with a letter, itinerary and luggage tags to get them pumped for the trip. I'm also putting out of town bags in everyone's room with various supplies that will be needed such as bug spray, flip flops, beach towels, hand lotion, sunblock and suntan lotion, etc. In your case, I would NOT send STDs until you've booked your wedding date with a resort. If you change your mind you'd have to send more STDs which would be a waste of money. I'm actually not sure when to send the invitations. I would say about 6-8 months before. Go to the knot.com. They have checklists as to what to do for destination weddings. Don't freak out now. You still have plenty of time. Enjoy being engaged and all the anxiety that comes along with planning your wedding. It'll be here and gone before you know it.

Okay, first off, I had no clue what a BD photoshoot was. But now I really want to do one. Can someone explain how I'd go about doing this? Does any photographer do it? I think it's a great idea!

I too have naturally curly hair. Can you tell me how long it takes to have it done? I would love to get this done for the summer. I'm going to ask my hairdresser. In the after pictures, did you just let your hair air dry?

Hi blushing bride! I've been emailing with Yulina and also Rosa. They seem really nice. The response time has been great too. My fiance and I are having a symbolic wedding. We're getting married a couple days before we get to Dominican Republic so we don't have to go through all the translation of the documents and pay any fees. We're not getting married until 2011 so we still have a ways to go.

Not 2010 but April 2011. I feel like I might be crazy to start thinking about all the wedding details now, but to me it's never to early to start planning. My fiance and I have already decided that we're getting married at Excellence Punta Cana. I think it's really important to decide on where and when right away so we have time to save and also can give our guests time to save. I'm a strong believer in not going into debt for a wedding especially in this economy. I'm so excited!!!
