I feel your stress. I think because I basically planned everything with my FIs minor input that I feel it is all on my shoulders if things don't work out. ughh... I really need to hit up a patio for a cocktail soon. I'm having my final fitting and hopefully taking home the dress next Wednesday the 22nd. We leave 5/2 for Florida. This will give her a few days if there are any minor tweaks. I lost another 4lbs so maybe she will have to take it in another inch like my last visit 4 weeks ago. :>

Wireless Microphone - Do you need it? Panhandle
tguerre replied to tguerre's topic in Florida Weddings
Spoke to my officiant's wife who is also a wedding coordinator. She said her husband speaks loud enough that a small wedding around 30 will have no problem hearing him. We are going to pass on the microphone. I hope we don't regret it. -
Sand Ceremony Vase... So unique

Yep, the ring bearer will carry the plate. The people who make the plate on etsy will put whatever you want on it. It is $26 with a set saying and $28 for a customized. Etsy :: palomasnest :: Paloma's Nest... Crafting, one Peace at a Time? -
All of my future brother and sister in laws complained about the timing and location too. 2 of the 3 sister in laws are not coming. My parents were thrilled and his parents had their complaints but finally said if it what you want. My grandma won't come because my grandpa and his wife of 30 years will be there. You would think people would get over things, but even 70 year olds can act very high school. We have 29 adults and 3 kids booked with flights. Those that want to be there and support us will be and the rest are not going to ruin this for us. As long as our parents are there we will be happy.

My fiance has always wanted a May wedding. He likes the idea of everything turning green and the tulips blooming in spring. I'm not picky. His birthday is May 15th so based on the availability and cost of the beach house we picked Friday, May 8th.

Sand Ceremony Vase... So unique

Of course I stressed about the sand ceremony vase like everything else. My fiance thought I was crazy. Finally he said which one would we want in our house for display and use more often. I'm always trying to find unique things that we will want after the wedding. Here is our ring bearer plate I got a few weeks ago from etsy. It will definitely go on our wall when we get back. -

What do you think of this Favor?
tguerre replied to Lillie09's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I was going to do this and then my friend rained on my parade and reminded me that very few people print photos these days or use photo albums. So, I changed my mind. I personally would love to get it as a favor, but I also see her point. -

Nice! I ordered this one. I like that we can have a photo of us in there and flowers during the ceremony. We plan on using the sand from our wedding so it will have sentimental value and then put a wedding photo in it after we get back. Can't wait to receive it in the mail. -
My fiance is against getting a videographer and we are not renting a wireless microphone due to the cost. Has anyone ever used an ipod microphone? I was thinking it might be nice to have the ceremony audio at least recorded. G24 XtremeMac MicroMemo Mic Voice Recorder iPod Nano 2G - eBay (item 320358094940 end time May-08-09 02:54:41 PDT)

I had my BD photoshoot on Saturday with Laura Ivanova. It went great! I was super nervous, but she made me feel comfortable and gave great direction. I ended up booking a room at the W Hotel and it was well worth the money. The room was gorgeous and the tall windows looking over the city made for some interesting shots. I wish I had.... 1. brought a strapless bra for my tank top 2. brought more props such as cherries, suckers (ended up using a huge lollipop in the minibar $3), champagne 3. had 1 drink beforehand to relax So Happy I.... 1. got an awesome hotel room. Used it later to surprise fiance. He has no clue what I was doing there beforehand. lol 2. hired Laura as a photographer http://www.lauraivanova.com/ 3. sent her a word document of various BD shots I wanted to try to recreate 4. got Mani/Pedi/Hair/Makeup done. It made me feel very glam and confident 5. brought various jewelry such as a super long beaded necklace 6. went crazy and worked out every day the week beforehand My outfits 1. Tank top, boy shorts, and barefoot 2. Bra / Panty set with heels 3. Fiance's Viking jersey, white boy shorts, Vikings wedding garter, barefoot 4. Veil, wedding shoes, fiances wedding band, and white lacey thong

I am a bit worried about going with flip flops for the wedding cuz of that lovely flapping sound they make. My fiance is not keen on barefoot. I'm looking at these. What do you guys think? -
Thanks guys!! it was fun using our engagement photos. We had so many fun ones with my stepdaughter that I wanted to incorporate in the book. With the Blurb software I did... *Layout - Guestbook *Theme - Deco *Lined pages - plain gray for background, 2 rings decoration, and "Words of Wisdom, Best Wishes, and Personal Notes" in the header *Picture pages - layout varied, did love quotes on each page, circles with matching color to lined pages, no decoration, and move some pages to left side I did the hardcover with image wrap. Wish I had tried the dust jacket or something else because the picture did look a bit dull. I guess that is common with the image wrap cover from what I have read. Oh yeh, my first book the words on the spine were a bit off and wrapped to back of the book. I sent a picture of it to blurb and they printed me another one at no cost. Now, I have 2 books. Yay! I cannot wait to make my BD book next week.

We specifically put a line on our RSVP so we would know how many kids would be at the DW or hometown ceremony. Our caterer for the DW doesn't count kids ages 3-11 in the price. We also wanted to know for our hometown reception so we could plan the food accordingly. We are getting a jumper for the hometown wedding to keep the kids entertained. Should be a blast.

I was definitely have one of those weeks last week. I cannot believe we leave in 2 weeks from Saturday. Wow! The only things I have left is the music play list, vows, final fitting, and day of schedule. Now, if I can get my online shopping under control. Friday night, I bought walkie talkie on ebay for $30. They go 25 miles so I thought it would be nice to have since cell phone charges to call each other might get spendy.

I don't believe they are dyeable. I got mine on shoes.com regularly $71 with 20% off and free shipping. They don't mention that you can dye them. Thanks!! I also finished these votives for my centerpieces. Guests can take them home too. I have gone glue gun crazy.

I know this isn't probably all that creative, but we made our guestbook on blurb with our engagement photos. We are going to leave it out in the beach house we rented for our guests to write words of wisdom, best wishes, and personal notes. We made sure to have at least one page of each of us at different ages. I am also using Blurb for my BD photo book. Can't wait to get the pics back on the 20th.

I finally made my stepdaughters flower girl pail. I also got my ring bearer plate in the mail last week. It will look great on our wall after the wedding.
