  4. CONGRATULATIONS.....and what a well-written, fabulously-detailed review!! I know if I was an upcoming Dreams Tulum bride-to-be, I would be endlessly thankful for all of the insider information and tips! Well-done

These are the EXACT flip-flops I wore on my wedding day with my gown after the ceremony, and not only were they adorable, they were comfortable and the platform provided enough height so the dress didn't drag on the ground like it would have with regular "flat" flip-flops.....2 HUGE thumbs up!! And Advantage Bridal was easy to work with, the price was right, and they arrived quickly -- I'd HIGHLY recommend these flip-flops to one and all!
  6. We had an intimate group of 10 guests, plus my husband and I....it was the perfect number for us, as we felt like we were able to spend more quality time with our guests than if we had had a much larger group. Actually, since it was such a busy week, and Sandals Grande Ocho Rios is so large, we ended up feeling like we didn't have ENOUGH time to spend with some of the guests! Another benefit to having a smaller group is that we were able to do a much more elaborate OOT/Welcome bag for each of them within our budget -- everyone said they really could feel how much we appreciated having them there. And for the friends and family that couldn't attend in Jamaica, we are having a full-scale AHR/local reception in August. We are anticipating between 80-100 people, so we will still get to share in a celebration with them as well!
  7. Good luck to all of the other happily-married nominees!
  8. BEST WISHES to all of the BEAUTIFUL BRIDES-TO-BE!!!
  9. SUPER-WOW and WAY TO GO, CASSIE!!! Everything is just beautiful, and I was especially blown away when I read that you made those bouquets by yourself -- amazing!! Who knows? Maybe you could start your own RealTouch flower bouquet business someday?!? Huge congratulations and all the very best of luck, laughs and love as your Big Day nears...I hope it is the dream come true you've worked so hard for over the many months of careful planning! And btw -- you, in your gown (finished with the headband & veil) is absolute PERFECTION! You're going to be a breathtaking bride for certain!!
  10. Adding your own sparkle to your shoes = AMAZING IDEA! Can't wait to see the final result! They're gonna look amazing Raychel, and btw, I think the replacement/non-Weitzman shoes are just as fabulous as the others you'd shown earlier at the start of your thread. Actually, my faves were the ones with the ruffles, but if they didn't work with your gown, what can you do, right? I think the new path you've taken on your "journey" is going to end in reaching a beautiful, bedazzled "destination" when your shoes are finally finished! Good luck and keep us posted!
  11. I'm with Cassie....I think Dress #1 is just phenomenal, Steph! You DO look gorgeous in them all, but #1 is really soft and romantic looking, and I think floral accents are just so delicate and feminine -- plus, to me, they are more memorable than a lot of rhinestones or crystals, but I guess I am biased since my dress was a Maggie (Sottero & Midgley, actually) and it was more "floral" than "flash"! But again, they are all beautiful, so go with what makes you feel the most diva-licious, and you can't go wrong!
  12. FANTASTIC Planning Thread, Jannae! You've really put a lot of careful time, effort and energy into making your vision for your wedding come to life! Here's hoping your BIG DAY is every bit the dream come true you deserve! CONGRATS to you and your future husband!
  13. You look amazing....the fit is just spectacular! And I echo the other girls in saying WEAR WHAT YOU LOVE -- it's YOUR special day, and you should wear whatever makes you feel beautiful, regardless of where the wedding is taking place. (My ceremony gown was a huge tulle ballgown, and even though it was hot, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!) You can't go wrong when you go with your heart....
  14. Yep -- the answer is written all over your face...look at that smile in photo #2!!! You look lovely in all three gowns, but the choice is pretty clear: I think the majority of the voters share my opinion that of those choices, #2 is 100% YOUR GOWN! Good luck whatever you decide, because you're gonna look beautiful no matter what!

Thank you so much, Autumn (even though I feel guilty now since I've been busy and a little M.I.A. on the forum this month)!! Now, if I can only figure out some noms of my own, since so many wonderful girls are already in the running.... I'd like to nominate the following: B2B: sunmoonstars (Christine) MRS: AnnR (The Enforcer!) Good luck, ladies!
  16. That's so fantastic that you feel even more sure in your choice now....because no matter WHERE you have your wedding, you should have the dress you love/makes you feel beautiful! I wore a Sottero & Midgley full-scale ballgown, and although I will admit I was very hot, it was every bit the bridal gown of my dreams, so I say GO WITH YOUR HEART ALWAYS!
  17. I was married last month at SGOR, and it was fabulous.....totally worth every penny! I haven't gotten around to doing my review yet, but I think in the end, you'll be thrilled that you stood your ground and stuck with Grande Ocho Rios. We even liked it better than the more-expensive Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay (which my husband and I stayed at just the 2 of us for three days after our guests went home)!! Much like any resort, SGOR is what you make of it -- you should do, see, taste and try as much as this resort (which is the largest of all the Sandals resorts, if I am not mistaken) has to offer. We had 10 guests total, and I felt like that was the perfect number for us to be able to spend time throughout the week with each guest, and let them know how much them being there meant to us. And if cost is a major concern, perhaps suggest that they stay on the less-costly Manor side or stay a day or so less...if people truly want to be there, they will find a way to make it work. Good luck!
  18. What a fabulous, totally "outside of the box", creative idea! I'd love to see what you come up with after it's all said and done! Oh, and PICS! PICS! PICS!

  20. SO EXCITED!!! Just wanted to post this, as a Maggie Bride...well, actually, a Sottero & Midgley Bride: Christie Parris Pollick, Dallastown PA - Midgley Bride TO all of you other Maggie and Midgley brides, make sure you post your story on the designer's website, because it just might help another bride-to-be make her decision on a dress if she sees it on a REAL GIRL!
  21. Jenise -- WOW! You are a KNOCKOUT! Good gracious, could that dress BE any MORE meant for you?!?! Wow..."fits you like a glove" is an understatement! CONGRATULATIONS, and August will be here before you know it!
  22. Oooh! What gorgeous pics...and Brian used some of them on his homepage under the Trash the Dress link, too! You looked beautiful, your husband looked handsome, and the two of you together = SEXY! I actually booked with one of Brian's associate photographers, Alain Hottat, since Brian was already booked for a wedding in Negril the same day as ours, and we think he did an awesome job, as well! And for the really reasonable rates and the excellent service (Brian did our photo edits, and had our gallery up about a day or so after we got back!), you can't beat working with him, or his associates! CONGRATS again on your beautiful photos...what a wonderful way to capture wedding memories, right?!
  23. You look fantastic, Karima! I know, it's hard not to want to wear you gown every minute when the FI's not around, right?!? That's why I'm sort of glad mine was still at the bridal salon until about a week before we left...or I'd have had it on all the time! I ADORE the veil, and your gown fits you like a dream....and with August just around the corner, it'll be SHOWTIME for real before you know it! Eeek! So excited for you!
  24. CONGRATULATIONS, Miss Stephanie, and HAPPY WEDDING DAY! Hope your day is filled with all the beautiful weather, beautiful moments, and beautiful memories you've dreamed of.....I'm sure it will be incredible, and everything will be gorgeous! Welcome to Mrs.-ness, lady
