  2. Absolutely beautiful!!!!! I can't believe you got the pictures up so soon!! Did you bring your own ribbons for the chairs or is that an option available purchase?
  3. everything looks great!!! so many great ideas!!! Congrats and I can't wait for your review!
  4. the option package lets you rent out the conference room or a private beach dinner- can you have the dancing done here to for an alotted time? Has anyone seen what the conference room looks like?
  5. Does anyone know if this location allows outside photographers?
  6. gregs bride- thank you so much for the pictures, they look great!!
  7. what do you girls think about these two? I was going to do Gazebo, but it it private or are we in the middle of everything at the resort?

Garden is a bit of a spectacle and it would be a weird set up for your guests to see the ceremony. I wouldn't recommend it. Beach all the way! The charge for the bar is only if you have a private reception. If you book a dinner in a semi-private setting, drinks are included. We booked semi-private and got moved to the private location at no charge because of the size of our group. Wine was served during dinner. Beware of the Mammee Bay steakhouse for your dinner and what time you are eating. It is very close to the entertainment stage. You may risk hearing, bingo, the bird dance and all the kiddie entertainment duirng dinner. We had booked Mammee Bay for the wedding dinner but, again, we were moved due to the size of the group. The plantation is where we ended up. Very nice and quiet. We went to Riu Hotels & Resorts and booked our wedding online. Our credit card was never charged the $350 they said they would charge. We paid everything the day before the wedding at the resort. No matter what you put on the info sheet on the Riu website when you book your wedding day doesn't really matter. We were able to pick everything at our meeting with the wedding planner the day before. I highly recommend the steel drums during the ceremony. Beautiful touch and they play for a whole hour! Awsome! Good luck with your wedding, I hope it goes well! I'd be happy to help if you have any more q's for someone who's been there! Hi there, I planned on having the garden gazebo, is it not private? I notice the resort in the backroom, is it right in the middle of the resort life? thanks in advance! Angela
  9. Anybody have thoughts on the private beach reception in comparison to the poolside? Pictures available of what the beach reception looks like
  10. Now are you ladies expecting a normal bridal shower- I'm wondering if i should just not have one since its only going to be the 15 girls who are able to attend the wedding...I don't want my BM's spending a ton of money on a bridal shower for such a small event. Unless we just have a small luncheon just us ladies when at the resort... I'm not having an AHR so i'm thinking the luncheon when at the resort may be the best thing, thoughts?
  11. Ladies, On all comumications with the resort they continue to state that the prices are subject to change at any moment. With that in mind how do you know what is owed when you arrive- has anyone experienced a difference in the charges from the options sheet and what was actually billed? I'm concerned about there being no contract.
  12. have you checked the Couples swept away.. I hear that its really nice and right in Negril.
  13. what about Michael Chen- has anyone used him?
  14. Ahh!! THis is great!! I was wondering what some of the private dinner options were. Now I am totally doing the pool area! Does Chandelyn give you a layout for the table arrangements before or is this something your doing when you get there?

  16. Hi all, Is anyone paying for the transportation for their bridal party, such as airfare? I am not sure I can afford this but I want to know what the proper etiquette is!!? Also, since destinations are smaller weddings generally- is it okay to invite people to your bridal shower you are not inviting to your wedding, when they would normally be invited if you did the traditional wedding in your area??
