  1. Vanessa, welcome!!! I'm getting married at Magen's Bay on Oct 16, 2010. I'm pressed for time also, let's bond and help each other.
  2. Congrats!! Can't wait to see the photos and review.
  3. I confess that I hoped my happy little behind on a plane to Miami and meet up with some of my old undergrad girlfriends and had a blast for the last five days without Devin.

That being said, they're very nice and responsive. Thanks @Willow88
  5. One last thing: I confess I have been snooping around trying to found out where my FI is taking me on our honeymoon. I hate not knowing, it's killing me!!

I hope none of you have to go through this. It's very traumatic, but I am doing much better. It's been 10 days now and my HCG levels are almost back to zero. *sigh I am so sorry to hear this.
  7. I confess that I really thought planning a DW would be less stressful. I want this whole wedding thing to be over and done with because I’m sick and tired of everyone at this point. I confess that I dislike one of my FI’s best friends; he really gets on my last nerve. In the last couple of weeks he has caused more drama than a PMSing Bride to be. I confess that I love my FI so much it hurts. We were sitting on the couch last night watching ESPN, he turns to me and out of the blue says “I love you” and I said Dude, I love you too.”” That’s my guy!!! I confess that I’m so ready to start a have a baby.

He's more upset or shouold I say "tired" of them going on and on about it.
  9. My friend ordered her wedding invitations from them. I was impressed with the quality, it was much better than what I expected. So yes, Kudo's to them!!

Im not sure what to do. My aunt took the non-traditional route and was escorted down the aisle by her husband. We are not having a very traditional or formal event, but Im still not sure what to do. Who is walking you down the aisle? What do you think about choosing to walk by yourself? It’s an honor for a father to walking his daughter down the aisle, however I’m not so sure your dad deserves any honor since he didn’t speak to you for years and you don’t have the best relationship with him. The nerve of him!!! I say walk yourself down the aisle and when you see him, thank him for coming to the wedding like you would any other invited guest.

And besides, he could have been given a really ridiculous name, like Apple! lol And to get married and be "Kelly Kelly" would be HILARIOUS! Even more hilarious because I actually watch wrestling (I know, I know lol) and one of the female wrestlers is actually named Kelly Kelly lol Too Funny!!

Well when I sent out our wedding invitations I wanted to be formal so of course I used our full names; ever since then his friends have been joking with him about his first name. All this time they never knew his name was Kelly. I think its funny, but he’s not to happy about it
  15. I need help with finding a great florist in St. Thomas for my Oct wedding. Any suggestions?
  16. Can you ladies recommend a florist in St. Thomas? Havana Blue has a florist they use but I would really like to check around for the best price. Any suggestions??

This wedding planning is way to stressful!!!
  18. Okay Ladies, I went ahead and bought dress number two these weekend. The dress really fit nicely and as the look on going for on my special day. Dress number one has more of a formal look to it, so I plan on wearing it to our reception. We are also having a reception when we get back from St. Thomas prior to departing for our honeymoon, I will wear dress number one to that reception as well. Thanks ladies for all of your advice and I will be sure to post pictures....Stay tuned!!!

I wish I could say if you don't like it pass it to me...but I already have a dress, well actually two. Keep us posted on how your shopping excursion on Saturday goes. I like number 2 but number 1 made my jaw fall. Good luck...... (oh and PS I was just freaking out in my own mind that I am 4 months 27 days away with no invitations sent when I saw your thread....holy cow!) JanineA, I didn't sent out invitations to everyone just an e-mail to all of our friends with a link to our wedding website, where they could view the details of the event, and RSVP if they were coming or not. For the older more traditional family members, and friends I did sent them formal invitations. As far as my dress I fell in love with it at first sight and will more than likely wear it to the reception. If I can't find another dress this weekend, I'll just go ahead and wear number 1, I just can't stress of it at this point.
  21. This is my cake but I going to have them add flowers to the top as the topper.
  22. When I was there I did not visit Havana Blue, but I have seen the pictures and I really like the ambiance and the fact that they offer a reasonable packages. They also have On-Site DJ’s; can arrange flower arrangements and an on-site Pastry Chef to assist in my wedding cake. I’m going to give Elizabeth Smith, the event coordinator, a call today. I think this venue can accommodate my reception needs and elevate the stress of trying to find all these vendors on my own.
  23. Thanks Ladies, I'm going to the bridal boutique on Saturday to try this dress on. I think I'll wear this one for the wedding and the other dress for the reception.
  24. Let's try this again. Here's the front and back of the dress. Impression's April Wedding Dress.
