We saw the seafood buffet being prepared beforehand so we were excited. The people were coming back with HEAPING plates of seafood. By the time we got to the table we were ravenous and there was hardly anything left....there were some shells - it looked like people were eating as they went through the line...ther was a grandma type lady with ZIPLOCK BAGS just scooping the crablegs right into the bag....we were just in shock! So we get the buffet with our picked over food and start to go back to our table and realize that almost all of the groom's family is gone. They ate and left. Then we sit and go to eat our food and it's AWFUL. All of the shellfish tasted like the flavor had been boiled out of it. Now the poor DJ is trying to get the 25 people that are left to dance, so we danced for a while but we were STARVING and had to drive almost 2 hours home. We found a diner on the way home so we could eat.

Oh Lisa - I know just how you feel. My FI has lost wallet - over and over and over camera and camera charger - over and over 3 sets of keys - 1 car, 2 house - still missing 600 dollars cash - I found that immediately a box of tiles - still missing a pair of $200 sunglasses - still missing - we replaced We were going away and he spent 3 hours searching for the cover for one of the bags for the motorcyle - ripped apart the entire garage! The best part is that he says I'm the messy one! But all of my "daily" stuff is in my pocketbook which is easy to find, and any important papers are all in my "important paper" box. He just puts things down...like the $600...and forgets....then I have to go into my "What would I do if I were Jim" mode and find things. It generally works but is very frustrating.

Thanks for the heads up - that totally sucks - I HATE when you are expecting something....planning for something....and then you totally have to change what you are doing. I'm sure you'll be able to find something equally nice. Good luck!

True - I wasn't being a good forum member not posting pictures! Here's my new baby: KittenHeart - I did not lease again - 2x was enough for me. My first time I was about 200 miles under the limit and owed around $1200 in damages. This time i was much better with miles and damages but I just didn't want to worry about the miles any more and I was able to lower my car payments and insurance as well. Take very good care of your lease!!!!

Do not worry about any similarities between your wedding and your cousins or I will be right behind Miss Di to shake you. He got married in Ohio (no offense Erin) You are getting married where? Cancun? And at Moon Palace, a place that everybody loves and having been there myself can personally vouch that it rocks.... You have 6 1/2 months for people to forget about it, and when people come to your to your wedding, all they will be thinking is OH MY GOD SHE'S GETTING MARRIED ON THE BEACH IN MEXICO HOW AWESOME IS THIS!!!! and whatever your cousin did will be forgotten. Beachside Gazebo beats the lakeside Horsedrawn Carriage on the beach with ocean waves sweeping at the hoofs of the horses....you cannot top that!!!!! And you will be in Mexico...sunsets are gorgeous...the resort is sooo sooo nice...seriously, I don't think you have anything to worry about....plus your wedding album will kick his butt -didn't you win a free photographer? You are going to have an amazing wedding....do not stress.

I love sports cars, and had them when I was younger, but I've been driving Nissan Altimas for the last 6 years. Rewind back to the NYC auto show when they previewed the new body style for the Mustang (2005) and I fell in love...I knew one day I'd get one. So my lease ends next week and it was time for me to get a new car. Unfortunately due to my recent job loss, I couldn't get a brand new one, but I got an almost new Mustang and I am SO HAPPY!!!! :smil e29:

Funny that this got bumped up again. My FI actually does know my weight now. I'm on a special diet through a doctor due to a thyroid problem and he came with me to the doctor so was there when "The Number" was announced. It was actually less than he thought I weighed, and the best thing is that he's been super supportive with my diet plan, especially now that he understands that my thyroid has been a big part of my inability to lose weight. I think my not wanting to tell him came from my mom, who has been married to my dad for 49 years and he still doesn't know how much she weighs....she says it's none of his business... so I was raised thinking that way...

People just open their mouths and don't even realize the impact of what comes out of them. My bro-in-law recently had all of his vacay days etc cut and it's not been fun for him. these girls don't know what they're talking about and need a smack! When I lost my job people kept coming to me and saying "Oh it shouldn't have you, it should have been Jane Smith...she sucks at her job...you're so much better..." I think they thought they'd be making me feel better with that, but it actually made me feel worse that the company was keeping someone that everybody thought sucked. People don't think.

Awww..I'm sorry you can't have your beach wedding, but it looks like a fantastic place and you're sure to have a beautiful wedding, and having your family there will be awesome. And then you'll have your Honeymoon to look forward to as well. Everything will be great.
