Hi Ladies, Well after a month of looking over resorts we finally are settled on the GP resorts not sure which side yet, waiting on prices. I was a little worried to some of the reviews I was reading on tip advisor but all in all the resort looks beautiful!! I am hoping that these bad reviews are wrong. I recieved wedding information from the WC already and found some stuff to be VERY pricy!! I would LOVE to see any pics that anyone has from this resort espeically any wedding photos. Any other information about the resort I would love to hear about it. I am from Cambridge ON. We are planning on marrying in April of 2010! Check out Destin Florida...my friend got married there on the beach and it was beautiful!

Which Grand Palladium did you have your wedding at?

Hello I am considering getting married at the Grand Palladium White Sands or Riveria. I have stayed at the Kantenah and had a great time! I am looking forward to chatting with other brides as I am pretty sure this will be our wedding location!!

I am working with a Travel Agent, but sometimes people can find better deals on thier own so I guess it really depends...you can give them the option if going with your TA or making thier own. I might be doing this also. Sorry I'm probably not much help. Good luck

I am not changing my last name either. I have always said that I woudln't I have had my name for almost 30 yrs and its a part of me and who I am. I am proud of my last name and my family so I am keeping it!! I think at first it bothered my FI but now he is okay with it. My kids will have his last name with mine as their second middle name. My bestfriend who is a teacher say's that I should hypenate it b/c when kids come into her class or at the begining of the year and she sees that the mom has a different last name then the child she wonders if its the biological mom, step-mom etc. But I am staying firm with not changing it.

I was talking to my friend who is our TA also, b/c my nephew at the time of booking will be 12 but be 13 when we travel. She said the resorts do NOT check nor do they care. So I don't think you have anything to worry about!

I think the Luther Vandross song is great but if you wanted it to come form a womans point of view Celion Dion sings the same song so its a daughter singing it to her father instead of a son.
