  1. I did the same thing - bought the ones from Oriental Trading. I have to admit that one of them had a big brown spot on it, it was literally brown paper, but the rest were just fine. I printed the letters out on Word - blew them up really big, taped them on the inside and painted on the outside. I think it came out pretty nice!
  2. bahiabride - you kill me!!! That is hysterical! Thank you guys all so much for the vote of confidence....my best friend is coming with me and she is insanely funny, so I'm hoping she will definitely be a blast helping me get ready and making me shake off my nerves. I can hear her already "Be a tiger, be a tiger"....she's too funny, so hopefully it will be fun! Plus I hear my photographer is truly awesome, so I hope she'll help me. I have no clue on how to pose - although bahiabride, I'll take your advice
  3. Ayita, by any chance do you remember how many pounds of sand was in each bag? Maybe 2 pounds? It seems that is a pretty normal size across the board.
  4. Anyone who has the luxury package - do they know what kind of music they'll play for the ceremony? They have a choice of guitar, flute, harp and something else, but how are we supposed to know what our song choices are for each instrument?
  5. I just ordered this frame for my sand ceremony, but I was wondering if anyone knew how much sand I should get for it? Thanks!
  6. Lady-Di you are a wealth of information!! I've been dealing with Lili, a coordinator at The Royal and she has not given me this check list and my wedding is in 32 days. She hasn't said anything about payment, a check list or anything at all! Could you send me the luxury check list? My email is [email protected] Thanks!
  7. Ok, so I am scared half out of my mind for this boudoir shoot! I'm not exactly skinny - I'm not exactly big either (not that big isn't beautiful) but for me....I'm still not where I want to be. I had my gallbladder out a few months ago, and while most people lose tons of weight after that happens, I've gained - with that being said - how am I supposed to look sexy for these pics if I don't "feel" sexy HELP!
  8. Stephanie - THANKS for asking that question, I was confused on that too! Does anyone know?? Ya know, there should be a seperate thread for "Past Royal Brides" that can answer all of our questions, lol!
  9. Does anyone know how much sand to purchse to fill the frame? We are doing this with me, my daughter and fiance, so there will be three colors. I just don't know how much to buy.
  10. Well I finally finished my OOT Bags and with only 29 days until I leave, I'm happy their done! I did the hats, totes, pens, t-shirts, photo sharing cards, keychains and welcome letters all on VistaPrint - and got them ALL free and paid only shipping. I spent about $6 for all of those things and then added in the drink mugs, lanyards, bath salts, mini maraccas and hand sanitizer - All in all I spent about $15 per bag for everything here and I think it came out pretty good I made totes for the kids too - I don't have a pic though. They have a crab holding a sign that says "Property of ____" each kids name. I made coloring books and bought sand toys for them. If I get to it, I'd like to throw in some rolaids and advil, but if I don't get to it, I'm not going to stress. *the only thing missing from the pic is the keychain which I completely forgot to throw in the pic*
  11. Mallory57 - I have to tell you that I'm totally not sure how wide it is, I didn't measure at all. I just know that the runner they use at the resort I'm going to be at was red and I didn't like it at all, so I just took a shot for $20, if it doesn't work out, not a big deal to me really. The darn thing is 120 feet long, which I thought was super long, but they'd just cut it if need be. I painted it about 2 feet in from the end of the aisle where the bride walks in. Hope that helps!
  12. It was SUPER simple. I went to WalMart and bought the aisle runner, some acrylic paint, and a couple brushes. I went on MS Word and blew up the letters and numbers to a size that pretty much fit the runner. I messed with that a bit until I got the size I wanted. Then I just slid them underneath, with wax paper in between the aisle runner and the paper (some runners are a bit too thick, but mine was just perfect), so that the paper didn't stick to the aisle runner. Then I just painted away! I kinda just winged it....I'm not so good at describing what I did, so I hope that helps.
  13. OMG, I know, I had so many DIY things that I wanted to do and this believe it or not was my first and my wedding is 5 weeks away! I have to say though, it was super quick to do, 1 episode of Housewifes of New York and I was done
  14. Ok, so it's not huge and grand like some of the ones out there, but I loved how it was a bit dainty and pretty. The blue will show up much better on the white walk way that this is going on. In this pic, it's laying on my dark hardwood, so it doesn't show up too much. What do you guys think??
  15. IMPPEARL!!! You look AMAZING! I'm so jealous! My shoot is in 2 weeks and I'm insanely nervous. Beautiful shots, your groom will be in love with this!
  16. I bought these off of ebay $58 each and they came very quickly. They're so cute and perfect! The dresses needed to be altered a bit - the halter part was a bit long, but most bridesmaids have to be altered anyway per person. Sexy Halter Prom Bridesmaid Cocktail Dress 8002 US 4-18 - eBay (item 380188772297 end time Apr-14-10 22:49:34 PDT)
  17. The cheat totally works but I just can't seem to explain it right - the simplest way to explain it is that you're doing 20 seperate orders and paying 20 seperate times. You fill your cart with 1 of each free item, pay and complete the order. Then you go back into your email and do it all over again to order 1 of each. I got 5 things for $4.41 just last Friday. A shirt, hat, tote, pen and keychain. I then did that exact thing 5 times over and for $22 total I got 5 totes, 5 shirts, 5 hats, 5 pens and 5 keychains. Does this help at all?
  18. If so, where and how do I do it?? I'm not getting anything back from my darn wedding coordinator and it's a requirement that I get everything translated into spanish. HELP!!!!
  19. Actually I lowered the price to $100 plus shipping costs - just to hopefully get it to someone! It will need to be steamed but otherwise is in perfect condition. Don't worry about white with two kids - these days white isn't necessarily a symbol of "purity" it's more a symbol of unity and pure love. I'd venture to say that 90% of brides wear white aren't "pure" if you get my drift, lol!!
  20. OK - so I HAVE to share how I kind of "beat the system" with VistaPrint. I know it seems bad, but I got mostly everything for free. All of my OOT totes, shirts, hats, keychains and pens were FREE! So here's how it goes. I get an email with a list of things that are free. So I make one tote for free and put it in my shopping cart. I then open my email again, click on free shirt and make that shirt and add it to my shopping cart. Now that cart has two things and you can close the original one that only has 1 item in it. Next I go to the email again and click on free keychain - customize it, add to the shopping cart, close the previous screen. Then with a pen, hat - so on and so forth.....All of those things will end up being in your shopping cart for free. When you check out, the shipping will be anywhere from $4-$5 for ALL of that stuff. Pay for it and then close it all up and go to your email again and do it all over again. I got 25 totes, 40 hats, 40 t-shirts, 40 pens, 40 keychains and some other little things in between like post cards, etc....all for less than $200. You just can't beat that. Here's a pic of what I'm putting for my OOT Bags. I'm also adding bath salts for the rooms, welcome brochures, lanyards and some first aid things.
  21. Does anyone have the prices for the spa for hair/make-up manis & pedis? I can't seem to find that stuff anywhere. Also, I read somewhere along the line there was somewhere cheap on 5th to get a mani/pedi, does anyone remember that too? Thanks!!
  22. Still have this gorgeous dress if anyone is interested!
  23. Ok, so my groom wants a white gold inlay tungsten ring, however we're having the hardest time finding one that is a size 9.75. Seriously the 9.5 is too tight and the 10 is too loose. Does anyone know of where we can find one?
