Is anyone working through a travel agent instead of direct with resort? I have not heard from a WC yet but my TA has and has asked me questions through her. I am being told that when I have my final total number of people we have to send a sheet with all the attendees names is this correct?

I had a similiar issue... I asked my sister-in-law to be my MOH hoping the rift in our family would be healed by doing so. I did not ask my BFF as I knew she would understand and be with me anyway, she did. The rift got worse and I resented asking my SIL and all I did was cry and wonder the house at night for 3 months. Finally I said "this is stupid" and went hunting for the sesonal dress we had bought for the girls 3 months prior. Thank goodness we found one in her size and I surprised her by giving her the dress and asking her to stand in my wedding party. I have slept well ever since. Now to your problem Amandseth I agree with NaM, find a material and colour similar or even totally different and beautiful and have it made for her. Or hunt like I did for this fabric, it has to be somewhere seriously another fabricland somewhere Google it. Or just wait on your other friend to see her response. Also suggest to your MOH that she come for a short time and maybe she can stay at the same resort. I have people coming Monday to Friday and Monday to Saturday just for the cost save. Good luck!

Lisaloo I know how you feel, my cousin who is older than I by 10 years so... 52 told me that my wedding in mexico was an inconvinence to her and her family. Seriously an inconvinence WTF!! So I agree with Jerseykittens bestfriend, If someone wants to be there they will move mountains to be there. And those who try to move them but can't you see their sweat from trying and understand. But really those who say and do these things to us are showing us who they really are and we should not waste our time or energy on them. Get a hairdresser and makeup artist in Jamacia and have a Wonderful fun filled week with those who are there with you so you have lots of to brag about to Miss Europe. She will be the only one that loses out on the fun!!

Ok ladies I have a question. What are your thoughts on giving a donation in the name of the wedding party member to a charity? We are an older bridal coupkle as are my wedding party. We all have more than we need and at this time when there are so many people out of work and desperate in our city giving might feel better to all. Really what groom needs another flask or beer mug etc... I seriously am not trying to cheap out at all just wondering without asking them what the thoughts would be. thanks

swocanadianbride, I was at a wedding in the gazebo at the Gran BahiaTulum and it was beautiful. Actually, I did not see any other weddings the whole time we were there so I can't comment on other locations. The Gazebo is very secluded and there would be no lookie-loos. The gazebo is the picture you see in all the Gran Bahia pictures but if I can find one I will send to you. Good luck and enjoy!

One thing I did also when hunting for dresses was wear my hair up and makeup on and no sweat socks or such. I wanted to look as close to how I would look on my wedding day. I wanted to feel good and pretty so that when I tried on dresses I did not feel like a frump in a wedding dress! This helped a lot, plus after 20 dresses you are sweating and having your hair up helps!

Great decision! Having a great wedding that is more than enough stress for one person at one time!

Hi ladies, does anyone have any ideas for bridesmaid and groomsman presents? I love the gift bag idea but I am doing that for all of our guests already. We are older (42/3 so the flask/beermug idea has already been done for most of our party! Help!

Hello, As I am told people at the Beach/Caribe can use the Tropical/Colonial for everything, restaurants, swimming pools and bars and visa versa. It is the Palace were you will have problems. Only Palace people can use Palace resturants, swimming pools and bars plus they can use all of ours. Good luck and have a great wedding. Hello ladies, I am worndering if anyone has any ideas on how to incorperate my grooms deceased parents. I want to pay tribe to them in some meaningful and special way. My groom has been getting more emotional the closer we get to the wedding and the more we talk about it. I wish they could be there and know they would be so proud of their son. I want to show him that I am too wishing they were there with us and in someway they can be. Any ideas would be great thanks!

Hi ladies, for anyone looking for destination wear for their men we found ours at Elder Beerman in the States. The are also related to Persian, Yonkers and Bon Ton. The Brand name is Paradise Collection and are found at all the above named stores. They are linen draw string pants and shirts and very cool and beachy. My groom is a 2XL on top and a XL on bottom and the groomsman are a bit smaller and they had sizes for all. We got white shirt and bottom for the groom and beige pants and white and beige shirts for the groomsman. They are awesome and they were on sale so we got total outfit for $40 US. They are true to size also.

Oh and I am a size 18-20 so I agree they are professional and size is not an issue! Your FI will go crazy when he sees it! Also when I started tanning I got a heart sticker and put it on while tanning and it leaves a cute little tattoo, try it. Good luck!

Brazilian is not as bad as you think. I have done it several times and yes it is uncomfortable but not toooo painful. Just make sure you are trimmed as short as you can with sissors before you get it done. You can wear a thong and they will move it around or have you move it to get access! Do it once and you will wonder how you ever lived with the forest!

well since I have been recently laid off I have begun to mall walk! I am the youngest by about 30 years but it is good. I enjoy it more than walking outside as I get distracted easy. Anyway tomorrow morning is weigh in so we will see if the last 2 weeks of walking paid off.

lisaloo, Hi, I so want to embrass my plus size but I just saw pics of me the day I bought my wedding dress. While the dress looks great my arms are horrid! I am a size 22 in pants and 18 top , Yes baby got back! Anyway, reading your thread makes me wish I had your up beat attitude but just thinking of having to wear a bathing suit in front of friends and family in 6 months scares the hell out of me. Help me, I have been at weight watchers for 2 months now and not been serious enough about it. Five years ago I lost 80 pounds but life happened and I have gained it all back. Now I am getting married so I need to get serious and then last week I get laid off from work. SO.... what do I do when I am depressed, I EAT!!!! Please someone I need a weight lose buddy someone who will kick my ass when I need it and give me the strength I can't give myself right now. I just saw pics of me in my wedding dress and my arms are huge... My FI can't see me like this on our wedding day... Please help me

Yes I have a bridesmaid, my foster sister, but she is out of town. She is willing to do anything and is very excited abouth the whole wedding thing but again she lives 5 hours away. I did not ask my best friend as I thought the olive branch situation needed to be done HA! My bff has been very understanding of my decision and has told me she will be right behind me all the way. I really wish she could be beside me instead! I am very, very sad and wish I could turn back time and do what I really should have done in the first place.
