  1. 68 people, that's awesome! so far just my family's booked, everyone else promises they're coming but i won't believe it until they're booked. how close to the wedding did most of your guests book? sorry, don't know anything about transportation. maybe try marialma?
  2. What a great idea! Anyone know if any of the companies ship directly to Mexico?

  4. no ideas...but curious, like you, to see if anyone else does. I always find it so hard to throw out cards, but at the same time have no reason to keep them. Hopefully some crafty BDW member has a great idea!
  5. Thanks for the tips Dawn and IrishMatrimony! it's always great to hear from past brides. emengeeroxx -- do you need your vendors during the day? you could save $60 by having them come at 3pm. (night passes usually start at 5pm but Marialma said they let people in at 3pm for weddings)

Do you know if the couple used the hotel centerpieces and plate chargers? or did they bring their own decorations? Also -- as a photographer did you like the gazebo? i'm thinking it's a little dark and am hoping there is space to hold the ceremony outside the gazebo but still with the beautiful background. Thanks again for sharing!
  7. Everything looked amazing! I'm especially in love with your Invites -- were they DIY?

    Hello

Welcome -- this is a great site to use in the planning!!!!!!
  10. Welcome! Puerto Vallarta is great, but there are also a lot of nice places in the Riviera Maya area that is a little closer to the East Coast. Check out the different forums in the Mexico section to see if you find any resorts you like.
  11. She did my monogram too...I love her work
  12. So many new April brides everyday! Make sure to add your date to this list -- I found it helpful to know if a date was already booked before trying to contact the resort. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t9132-29 When are you guys sending out your invitations? I was thinking January...

I think I'm going to do aqua/pool blue dresses and red flowers but haven't picked anything out yet. I'm aiming for a fun, tropical look, but I'm a little nervous it's going to end up looking like 4th of July!
  14. Hey All: Here's a you-tube video of the resort -- shows everything from the beach to the rooms and the wedding area. YouTube - Occidental Grand Xcaret - HD

"If you are not doing the legal wedding here them I recommend you to go with the “Let’s stay together†wedding package as this one is cheaper and it doesn’t include the legal things which makes the other two packages expensive. You can have your guest perform the ceremony." And I don't know about the rooms Hey sspiris -- I'm doing a symbolic ceremony with an uncle preforming the service I was under the impression that the basic wedding package was the way to go because it's free after booking 12 hotel rooms. and the "let's stay together" package, although cheaper, was never free. 16. beautiful pictures! you're FI is going to love them P.S. I like your monogram and color scheme Have you started thinking about bridesmaid dresses, centerpieces, etc?

I don't want to be too seperated from our guests! .. I have a map I can email you! pm me your email or ask Marialma -- she circles all the different reception options. it's very useful.
