Hey LilPais! I just had 2 questions I paged you on theknot, but I'm not sure if you really go there. Which photographer did you use and what time of day did you get married?

We are having my BIL officiate, but we are getting legally married in the states first.

Have any of the RMB brides done a "traditional" type reception? (first dances and that sort of thing) I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I've searched through the last 20 pages and can't seem to find any information about this. I've read the reviews and know that dinner has been done, but what about "private" dancing afterwards? TIA!!

Wow I am so overwhelmed with all of the information that was just within this thread. You ladies have been very helpful. With just under 6 months to go I'm feeling the urgency to get everything planned. How soon can I start really planning the small details with the WC? I know they say 2-3 months out, but I am curious to see an actual estimate of the "extras" we would need/want. Also has anyone done the butterfly release? Can you please give me an approx cost? I'm so envious you got around the rule. I just looked at my confirmation emails to see who it was. It was Diana Guzman from the sales department in July, who said it didn't matter we had to be there a total of 3 days before (day of arrival and 2 days before ceremony) to be able to do it. I am trying not to think to much about it. Because of school and the other dates they had available our options were june 24(my sisters wedding anniversary), july 3 or september as our wedding date. I feel bad we are getting married on a holiday weekend in another country, but there was no question about this place being our resort. We loved it and it had everything we wanted. We were going to stay 9 nights no matter what, but I wanted to get there and get the wedding over with, not like over with, but I want to get there get married and then enjoy my honeymoon with our guests. I felt because of this stupid rule I am going to be there 3 days with the wedding not happening. I am not going to be able to fully relax until its over. Ya know what I mean??

Wow Really?? We aren't even having a legal ceremony and we emailed back and forth because the WC said we HAD to be there 2 business days before not including day of arrival. I had to move my date because of it.
