  1. Amanda - You know what would be easiest, let me just send you both my postcards (thanks for booking & thanks for RSVPing) in the mail & I'll send you our brochure I sent out the week before the wedding with packing lists etc. You're right! Happy Wedding Day Meghan!!!
  2. Kat's right, I had blue glasses with mine as well, thought it looked pretty and it's standard, no extra charge. You'd have to ask them not to have them if you didn't want them.
  3. Amy -OMG we should! I would MUCH rather throw an amazing fun wedding every year than get jewelry! Amanda - Yes you do have to pay the $500 outside vendor fee. IMO, the iPod is a good idea but I just didn't want to have someone tethered to it which once a few drinks hit they'd totally forget. I've also heard nightmare stories where a bunch of people keep changing the song once they find out where it is. The $1,300 gave me so much piece of mind and they did a great job and provided fun lighting and announcements that I emailed prior to their arrival. That is Zavaz Plaza. Definitely let me know! I love wine and we are super close I definitely have a lot of wino friends as well I can bring! I have never met her but funny enough, she's having her wedding about an hour away on the beach and I'm friends with her cousins out here! Small world, she's just super sweet and invited me so I'm going! Linds - I can't get over how adorable Ryan is... seriously I didn't know men like that existed. You're one lucky girl! Mine doesn't have a romantic bone in his body
  4. Linds, LOVE your new siggy pic!!! I wanna hear about your bachelorette party!! What did you do?!

  6. Congrats and welcome! We're happy to have you apart of the AS thread!
  7. Amy that smily was a smack in the face! I tell people that all the time JOKING of course, like my BF's, "I love you so much I'm gonna smack you in the face" is a line I say to my friend in NY. Ok, I'm in way too good a mood to work today YAY! Can't wait for your planning thread Amy, I gotta do one for Vegas!

I may mention one of you and what you're doing and my MOH is like, "who are you talking about, you're new friends?" It's kinda hilarious. HAHA!!! You girls kill me!!! I wish I was a wealthy socialite so I could say, yes I really DO lead a fab life! Reality is, I work my booty off 12 hours a day now and don't have time for much else Quote: Originally Posted by dstinationdrmr Ladies, I'm heartbroken because I will not be able to do a site visit next week. Too bad she's been talking about what she's gonna do for 60 for the past 2 years. So, I, in no way wanted my wedding to interfere with that. I got sick of fussing about it so the cruise is officially off. I still tried to look into keeping my site visit appointment but flights are more expensive than I expected. Awww, that's too bad, just know that you don't need one. Once you'll get there and meet the onsite coordinators you'll say in your head "Amy was right, this is totally under control!" =) Quote: Originally Posted by dstinationdrmr Does anyone know what DJ they use at the resort? I don't but I know that both Doremixx & Mannia are great. I used Mannia and even talked him down on his price. They did a great job, MC'd the whole thing, had all my songs, took my suggestions etc. Brought and set up lights and everything. Same here, DH was on the computer playing games and I'm chatting with you girls! He has never thought it was weird either since he plays games online and talks to people he's never met before too! I am totally envious. The pics are great and looks like you guys had an amazing time. Honestly, I spend so much time on this forum and chatting with you ladies and looking at your photos that I am started to feel like I know you. Especially you Amy because your info comes up on my facebook feed everyday and with all the weeding pics hard not to look. Please don't be scared though. He he. BTW, I am sure that you all have probably experienced this by now but FI thinks I am crazy for talking about you guys and your weddings. He thinks I live off in this virtual world somewhere talking about a bunch of fake people and their fake weddings. I had to remind him that without this forum and my "virtual world" that I would be completely lost and much more stressed without all of your tips and advice. To that he cheers'd me. WTH? Transportation breakdown. I'm glad you were able to get passed all that. Seems like you all had a blast. It is really so amazing that you had so many friends come and that they could come to both. What, do you all live the fab life? Haha!!! I try to live it up, I really do AND I do go overboard that's for sure. I can't deny that... I am a fun lover, I can have fun doing anything and going anywhere... laundromat, alleyway, 7-11, doesn't matter. I think it's because I don't really get too embarassed and I can handle actin' a fool and I dance everywhere, DH always looks at me with a little smile shaking his head... Glad you liked the photos, I had SO much fun! I feel like I know you girls too so it's not weird. I throw up so many photos and now a video so I think I'm become more real... since your FI thinks we're all fake, LOL! We are very real, I assure you. I would happily meet any of you in person, I'm proud of my forum friends and talk about you girls all the time. I'm going to Cassie's wedding from the forum in 2 weeks and get to meet her, I'm so stoked! My group of friends all tend to lead fun lives, we see each other often and attend a lot of social gatherings or just hang out & BBQ Quote: Originally Posted by bigboponthebeach I LOVE your photos and your video had me sitting here grinning at the pc screen!!!!!! The real wedding and then super laid back wedding. Don't worry I'm scemeing to get this limo company back! Quote: Originally Posted by dstinationdrmr I'm so pissed for you!! 10. OMG Cassie... I'm in a unique position here because I have the honor of coming to your wedding and meeting you and I'm SO excited you have NO idea!! I went through this whole thing with my stomach in my throat, like choking up. I almost wished I hadn't spoiled the surprise for myself but you look STUNNING in your dress and veil, I very well may cry on your wedding day, LIKE A FOOL I am so excited to see this all in action, can't WAIT! Ange is right you really outdid yourself, everything looks amazing! I can't believe you DIY'd those bouquets, they are gorgeous!!!
  11. Thanks Linds & Karen!! We did have SO much fun I have a ceremony vid if you ladies wanna see it!
  12. Thanks Magalie! There were a hit indeed! No, my photographer made me move food off the looooongg (16ft black glossy table) that we had spread out all the food on to lay down in my 2nd mini dress to take it. Love it!

I had planned and planned for this, having almost as many details as our wedding. Some materialized and others never happened once we got on the boat. For example, I had planned to decorate the cupcakes with pink and orange cocktail umbrellas but well, that just didn't seem to matter when the time came! We were having too much fun and the most important thing was getting the cake cut before a big wave hit and toppled everything over, LOL. Such is life when you choose a party barge to host your event! Details or no, everyone had such a blast. LOVE it! You're right it looked like soooo much fun! It's amazing how things can go totally wrong or just wrong and you don't even care because you're having such a great time. You two look so happy and so adorable, gorgeous cake and flowers! I love that we both had cupcakes! Mine did get decorated but the thing that went horribly wrong for me was that the 30 person amazing limo NEVER showed up. I called to find out where it was and got put on hold for 10 minutes. Called back and busy... my MOH's husband call and he tells me they will be here in 7 minutes. Meanwhile, they are an hour late and I had to call the Chapel and tell them I had no clue when I'd arrive. Luckily for me it's Vegas and they do weddings every 15 minutes and said they'd squeeze me in So, here comes rickity party bus (NOT what I ordered) to pick us up, flickering lights, no music, no AC. 5 minutes in, breaks down on the freeway... hence my real hitch hiking photos We all had the best time on the side of the freeway it was hysterical! Replacement party bus picks us up, music, AC, lights, 2 stripper poles, ok good... guy tries to leave us at the chapel, MOH's husband works a deal. All in all great night, limo company, so going down. Quote: Originally Posted by taylorwd AmyKH, LOVE the wedding video!! It looks like you all had such a good time. 14. SUCH a cute story!!! I love it, puppy and engagement ring, BEST Christmas ever!!

I agree with Wendy... I got married, May 8th and my ceremony was @ 5:00pm... running late ended up being 5:35pm, ceremony was about 10ish minutes long, wiped away tears and touched up a little, took pictures and we were already loosing light quickly. I wouldn't have the ceremony that late unless you only want the ceremony to have sunset shots and no photos afterward to have very much light. Give yourself adequate time, I'd at least move it up to the 5pm hour.
  16. My photographer just put up some of the Pro photos on his FB page as well if anyone wants to see them
  17. Looks wonderful! Congrats, have an amazing wedding! Everyone loves planning threads so thanks for posting!
  18. Oh and Chris put about 17 teasers up on his FB page of the Vegas wedding if you girls want to check them out!
  19. I think you both looked amazing Di! So different from Chris' pictures too. Nice to have such a wide variety!
  20. Nicole, eewwwww, dig up a pic if you can. Old wrinkly bride made me laugh too!

We love wine country and haven't been there. We were going to go to a LA court house for the legal ceremony but think we might do it in Paso if possible. Much more us and would be nice to go back there every so often and say that we got married there. Yay. for two ceremony locations! Thank goodness for you "old" married ladies. What would we do without you? Yeah that was the best part of the ceremony, so confusing but hysterical! OMG, I love Paso Robles!! You will LOVE it! It's soooo pretty and I'd go back there before Sonoma or Napa which I've been too. It's so much greener and looks like a freakin' movie. Such a great idea! Getting married in Paso Robles, gorgeous! It couldn't have been more amazing and more fun! Chris drove out there for me, it's not a long drive for us Cali people, you should contact him and ask him to quote you for a Vegas shoot. He gave me like 6 or 7 hours and did such an amazing job, we had so much fun with him. Tell him your my friend and to hook you up! You won't be sorry! Meghan, i have my fingers and toes crossed for you that your wedding day, will be everything you dreamt it would be. Im sure the rain will dissappear for you. It took a few weeks for me. Don't worry, you're just anxious of course! They have to check and confirm with the minister if they are available that date. Thank you, I did have an amazing time! I can't argue with 2 weddings in 2 months
  22. Confession - I really want to go to Canada for Canadian chocolate and wine!
  23. That's so awesome Karen! Thank you, we'll see what happens
