  1. Have any of you ladies been in touch with the resort yet? We're getting married in early April and I feel crazy wanting to contact the resort already and try to set a date. We already have a travel agent, and as soon as dates come out for 2011 we're going to start booking.
  2. Here's one I found: Colormate Zavada Bed in a Bag Not sure if it's what you're looking for but I thought I'd add another option Good luck with your hunting!

  4. You're using Vista I assume, because you called it Network and Sharing Center, not Network and Internet Connections. If that's the case, try going to start and in the search bar at the bottom type "cmd" (without the quotes) and when command prompt comes up right click on it and hit "run as administrator" Then in command prompt, type "ipconfig /renew" (again, no quotes, space between ipconfig and /). Make sure you do this when you're DISCONNECTED from your neighbour's wireless. If that doesn't work, then try plugging directly into your modem and type in the ip address of your modem (usually looks something like 192.168.0.1) and see if any of the settings have changed. It's definitely your modem because your computer can connect elsewhere. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll suggest something else to try I had to deal with my ISP three days in a row before they finally sent me a new modem because mine was broken. And their suggestion to me? Find a network savvy friend to re-install my network card drivers... I'M A FREAKING NETWORK ENGINEER! lol So before you try your ISP, I may have some things that can help solve it
  5. Is it bad when I'm the nerd? lol I'm studying to become a computer engineer, and this sounds just about right lol
  6. Disney is gorgeous, and the weddings are absolutely beautiful, but the price is outrageous compared to the caribbean! It's about $5000 for the ceremony, plus about $100 a plate for the reception, and you're limited to 23 guests, and it's only $500 at ILA, that's 10x less! Almost blew my mind when I figured that out last night lol
  7. Or you could go with the couple sitting at the table that have been married the longest However if it's a table full of singles, then you're out of luck lol
  8. I finally got my replacement e-ring! Yay! My original was a pink topaz that had faded, it's in this thread somewhere, and I had looked at a MILLION (or so it seemed) other rings to replace it, and I finally found the one I wanted, and now it's mine! Not a great pic, but the best I could do with my little point & shoot
  9. It took a while to find one, there are too freakin many of them! lol And I like that there aren't many medical tests and such, makes it a lot easier

No more Disney wedding, Cuba here we come! lol But, since I've been looking at caribbean resorts, I now understand why everyone said Disney is so expensive. Because compared to all the other destinations, it is literally 10 times more! The wedding ceremony (just ceremony, no reception at all) is almost $5000 at Disney. It's $500 at some resorts, and that includes a heck of a lot more that Disney gives you... It's insane! So it looks like a Cuban wedding, and a Disney trip some other time, maybe for my birthday!
  11. I think I may have finally made my decision... lol We had originally planned on a Disney wedding, but couldn't travel in February, and with Disney being crazy in March/April, we decided caribbean instead, and I think this may be the resort for us It's gorgeous!
  12. Sometimes fi gets like this when something is bothering him and he doesn't want to bore me with the details. So instead he bottles it up forever and then explodes at me (when I had absolutely nothing to do with it). Maybe there's something else bothering him? Maybe when he seems relatively calm, just say "Hey, are you alright? Is something wrong?" and have a chat about it. It sounds like you two really love eachother, and you can't throw that away over a little argument

It was 2009, then 2010, then 2011, now maybe 2012... Uggh lol Quote: Originally Posted by future_mrs2010 And typically disney world picks up and picks up fast in February. Just dont want you to be overwhelmed when you get there and its packed with people! Where are you going to have the ceremony and reception? Are you doing one of their packages? Where are you staying? February is NOT slow? Dammit! lol I was told that mid-January to mid-February was the slowest time of year... Well, even if we have to get married in January, no big deal. We were planning for February 2 anyway. So usually when in January does it slow down? I'm curious now lol We're thinking about having the ceremony at the gazebo at the yacht club resort, we're not sure about the reception yet. One of the restaurants most likely. We're doing the escape wedding package (we have about 14 people) and we're planning to stay at Coronado Springs. I can't wait!

Can you work part-time while in school to help supplement your income? Is there anywhere you can cut spending? That's true, I definitely can make it work. However I can't work part-time because if I do they will cut my funding for school And why are you graduating in October? Most school terms end in April, August, and December - so even if your graduation ceremony is in October, wouldn't you have finished school at the end of August? In which case you would have 4 months to save... I'm actually graduating in October, my program finishes October 29, 2010 (which I just noticed is a year from today! Yay!). Strange, but true lol However early in September we begin a workterm that lasts for 8 weeks (which takes me to October 29th) and I'm actually hoping I can skip my workterm and just go straight to work. Also, MOST reasonable employers will let you take time off for your wedding - as long as you let them know when you are hired that that is the plan - I don't know of any employer who would say no. The only thing is that you might have to take it as days of leave without pay. I know most will, I'm just afraid I'll get stuck with the one arsehole who won't let me take time off, KWIM? Financially, even if you hold off for a year, you may still not have extra cash lying around. It might be sunk into other things. I think you may have just hit the nail right on the head! If we do hold off for a year, FI thinks "Well, now we can go get straightened away for a house, and get a new car, and blah, blah, blah, and by the time the year is up, we probably won't have enough then either... Oi.. Decisions, decisions... I like getting married right after graduation because then instead of putting the money toward houses and such, we can pay for the wedding and still live "small" like we are now (with the apartment and such, small expenses) and then when we come back, we can focus on getting a house and all that other good stuff, and it will feel like a brand new beginning of our lives together and we won't have to worry about saving for our wedding because it's done already!
  15. We really want to stick to February, because it's a slower season at Disney, and the weather is pretty nice (not much rain, not too hot). So I'd rather not go another time of year. And we're going to Disney because if we get married at home, my grandparents would show up, and I would rather not get married at all than I would have them show up. They are horrible people, and they aren't welcome in my home, let alone at my wedding, but my father would bring them to my wedding if it is here at home because he is in denial about how horrible these people are (they're his parents). So I think we may just postpone for February 2012... But on a happier note, FI ordered my replacement e-ring, and it will be here tomorrow! Yay!
  16. Something that helped me come to an absolute decision whether or not to end my relationship with my ex was this: If you had just met him today, do you still think it would turn into a relationship? I was dating a guy who was a doll in High School, but eventually turned to drugs, and I couldn't handle that anymore. So I thought "If I was just meeting this guy, and I saw all of the drugs, I would turn and run in the opposite direction!" And run I did And I haven't looked back, not once, because I know I made the right choice. Do what you need to do for YOU, and don't let anyone else's decisions stand in the way. Good luck sweetheart! *hugs*
  17. Our plans are to get married in Florida in February of 2011. As of right now. But I don't really have anything done except I've contacted a TA. No dress, rings, tickets, nothing paid yet. So if we need more time, now is the time to make that decision... But I can't make it on my own, I'm about to tear my hair out! Here's the story: When we had first planned for February 2011, I said "Well, I'll graduate in October 2010, so then we can get married shortly after that!" I could have sworn my brain was on at the time, but apparently not. If I begin work in October/November, how likely am I to get vacation time 3-4 months later? Also, how did I plan on paying for said wedding? It's a well-known fact that students don't have a heck of a lot of money, and I'm no exception. I had thought "Well, when I graduate I'll have a good job, I can pay for it" thinking I had 4 months to save. Nope. I'll graduate on October 29th, we want to leave around January 30th. Are you counting? Because if you are, that's 3 months, which means I'll be about $3000 short. Crap. So, we COULD force it right now and scrimp and save and pinch every penny (and maybe borrow?) and we could keep the 2011 date. However, to get married in 2012 would be easier financially. I just don't know if I want to wait any longer lol What should we do? I kinda feel bad having to tell the TA "Well, you did some great research so far, BUT, we're going to put it off for a year. Thanks anyway!" KWIM? And we've already told family and friends about 2011. I just don't know what to do. 2012 is easier, but do I really want to wait another year? Help!
  18. When I was working in the hospital I got contact dermatitis on my hands, and that sucked. Having it all over my body would suck ROYALLY! I would definitely get to the bottom of this, and quick. Good luck!
  19. I've got so much planned, I just want to hurry up and go already! lol But now it looks like it may be 2012... Which means ANOTHER year... I'm going to tear my hair out! I can't wait any longer, how am I going to cope? I need a drink... Or to win the lottery... lol
  20. Awesome! We were thinking about the polynesian, but I think we're going to go with Coronado Springs instead. We want to stay in the same resort as our families, and the Polynesian, while beautiful, is a little out of their price range lol But we're thinking about going back for our 1st anniversary, and the Polynesian is at the top of my list And the deals right now are AMAZING, I agree 100%. I hope there's some equally awesome deals for next February
  21. Alright ladies, I'm out. I've got some health problems that I need to get under control and I already have enough deadlines and people I need to be accountable to. I don't need to feel like shit because I couldn't post something online due to power failures, something completely out of my control. Sorry if I sound like a bi*ch, but I'm really having a shit week, and this isn't helping. So I'm out. I'll do much better on my own IMO. Good luck on the your continued losses ladies!
  22. I missed this week because I'm sick as a dog. I've had a cold for over 5 weeks, and I think I caught a flu on top of it after our mini-hurricane yesterday. Plus the power was coming and going here all day with the wind, rain, and snow, so I didn't want to turn on my computer.
  23. For any Canadian ladies, this is also at Peoples $39.99
  24. I do drink lots of water, usually at least 2L every day, and still if I miss one fluid pill, I'm carrying balloons for feet. And that makes me really sad, because I have one skinny part on my body, and that's my ankles! lol But, when I weighed in this morning I was up 10 pounds (I know, I wanted to cry too) but now tonight I'm down by 6, so that really only puts me +4, which isn't drastic because my ankles are still swelled
  25. I'm a lost cause this week ladies. I have pitting edema in my ankles, and normally I take a diuretic to get rid of the extra fluid... Well I've been neglecting them ALL week and I'm actually up by quite a bit So this week I've gained a gross amount, and next week I'll probably end up losing a gross amount. It's absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, I'll be e-mailing the pic in a few minutes Ginalyn. Have a great day ladies!
