  1. I just talked to the owner ofBarcelona Tapas today. He said that they are shutting down and don't know when or even if they will re-open. I was pretty bummed because we were planning on having our rehearsal dinner there in March. I just wanted to let everyone know in case any of you were hoping to host a dinner there. They do own another restaurant, Agave Grill which has gotten good reviews for the most part. I told him I wanted Barcelona for the views and he recommended Vista Grill for a great view. Has anyone hosted their Rehearsal dinner at Vista? Thanks! Brit
  2. I second mspattemac - The El Eden Canopy Tour is a blast!! Check out Vallarta Adventures for more details.
  3. It just depends on how much it would cost (we are way over budget and I just can't seem to find areas to cut back on lol!!). But come on, Who wouldn't want a hyper colored cup, right? Thanks for looking into this Andi!
  4. 125 is kind of a lot, so if anyone else in interested in going in on the cups that would help because I only need like 50. Thanks for the list Ann! So many weddings coming up!! How exciting !!

Can they ship half to you in Denver and half to us in Chicago?
  6. Thanks for the review and Congrats!! We're also staying at Dreams & using Beth, so I'm so happy to hear you loved both!! Have you posted your pictures yet?
  7. I haven't been to the Walmart in PV, but to others in Mexico and they have basically the same items as in the states. I would check with Kelley or Nicole though just to be sure. Congrats, Julia & Kati (both are coming up so soon!)!!!
  8. Your dress looks goregeous! I wouldn't change a thing...simple but elegant!
  9. Congrats, Jamie!! What a great time to get away from the freezing temps in Chicago. Can't wait to hear all about it!! Good Luck with everything!
  10. Jamie...your wedding is in 6 days!!! How exciting!! sorry I can't help you on the officiant ?, I haven't heard any good or bad things about Cesar. With all the great comments about Brad, I'm sure Cesar is equally great!
  11. It's been awhile since anyone posted on here....Has anyone been to PV recently that would have an updated version of the airport? Thanks!!
  12. My dad is a pastor and is going to marry us in Mexico (hopefully I can get through it w/o completely breaking down!! . I live in Cook County and have some of the same questions as you do. I don't believe the officiant actually has to be present during the legal part of it. I think he can just sign the paperwork later? I need to look into this more, because my dad lives in Minneapolis so I hope he doesn't have to fly in just to sign the paperwork!

However, I am a little concerned about the 'night life' because we have a party group. Most guests will arrive Sat or Sun for a Tuesday wedding and will then stay through the following Sat. We can make our own fun (not worried about that), but I am just interested in your experiences and why you selected the resorts you did. I worte to Tara (tvt) and she provided some insight, but the more - the better. Britt - I believe you are staying at Dreams and visitied it last summer? Andi - where di you visit on your trip? Thanks so much ladies! Hey Trisha! Yeah - We didn't actually stay at Dreams last summer, but went for a site visit and loved it! For the most part our guests are staying at Dreams. Some are also staying nearby at Presidente Intercontinental because it is a little more reasonable. There are a lot of people coming to our wedding that like the party scene too, and at Dreams you're only a quick cab ride away from the Malecon and downtown. I know the resort also has some great restaurants and bars and like you said...you can definitley make your own fun! Hope that helps!!
  14. Yea, Andi!!! So glad to hear...I knew you would love it!!! It also eases my mind even more knowing that others who haven't been there, love it too! I'm so glad we made the decision we did!!! Can't wait to see the pics!

Wow - you'll be in PV in 4 days!! How exciting Can't wait to hear all about it!
  16. Okay - I'm not going to lie...I used to be that person that never RSVP'd on time and sometimes forgot completely! Now that I've spent weeks making my invites, spent the $$, and thoroughly annoyed my FI (I don't know how many times I complained to him and he just said, "Babe, let's just pay someone to do them for us!" ...I promise to always put the RSVP in the mail as soon as I get it!!

Here's the itinerary that Kelley provided me. You also have the option to add an extra hour to the end. 18. Thanks, Mishka! Those are all great ideas and I'm going to incorporate some of those in my OOT bags.
  19. I love the mini brownie idea w/ the ice cream on the side. I thought about doing cake, but the only real reason I'd do it is for the pictures and we're going to get so many other great shots, I'm not too concerned.
  20. Love the idea Kati!! I'm not a cake person myself, so we may do brownies?? I haven't talked specifics with Kelley yet, but Nicole is right, from the pictures I've seen of the other LC brides's cakes...they can do pretty much anything! Just send her a pic of what you envision and they'll make it happen.
  21. That is so good to hear! She's been great so far and seems like she is definitley on top of things. I think I'm going to do a TTD shoot with her as well. Thanks for the info!
