I had a wonderful day today...I started my day with a meeting I scheduled with the designer of my dress: Lazaro! I had scheduled a meeting with him as he was in town with a trunk show (great fashion runway show this morning) to discuss my veil (as I had originally ordered an Ines Di Santo veil). He was AMAZING! I am so glad I took the time to go meet/speak with him. I guess I should say that I was lucky he was willing to see me! He is so sweet and humble (almost shy). This experience made my dress even more special. My girlfriend took pics (don't worry I will post soon) of us together in my dress and there was a photographer there so we may be used in Riviera Magazine (if I didn't look like crap) possibly. Check your local community as I was going to order invites that ended up costing $1300 for 50 and we found our local party store will recreate them for only $15 each (which we only need 40) and this saves about $700. The great news is they do all the work, we design together and they do beautiful work.

Just be sure to show them the proof of how you ordered and give them a deadline sooner than your leaving date to ensure they expedite them.

I would say buy it. I paid 350 to Cabo in May and now looking for Xmas it is 758 and for my wedding in April it is 550....OUCH

This is the pic online, and they did come out the exact color on the site (I hoped they would be lighter): Turquoise Palm Leaf Hand Fans, Palm and Bamboo Wedding Fans I have 4 sets, so 40. They were 10/set. I will either send them back or if someone wants to buy them for $40, I will pay shipping to you. That will save you tax and shipping (or I will just send them back). It would depend on where your wedding is. You may want to recommend the beach clubs and beaches like Santa Maria that are swimming friendly. The beaches that have poor undertoes (like at the Hacienda and the pacific side) have signs and flags usually to warn guests.

So, they came today and they are a perfect combination of my blue and my aqua, but too dark to use....now I need to return them and there is a 20% restocking fee plus return postage...that was a waste! Anyone want to buy turquoise fans?

It sounds like 40%-50% show from invited which is what the books had said. I am thinking by looking at the recent jump in plane tix that less will come. We are looking at LAX to Cabo right now at $550 for April...OUCH! I have never paid over $350 and really miss the days less than $200. I guess that is better than our Xmas trip this year which is shaping up to be $760....can this be or am I looking too early for both? Long story short, I think it will affect our attendance greatly...any one else feeling this?

So we finalized the Guest List tonight....somehow we still ended up with almost 80 being invited....so much for a small little party in Mexico (didn't want more than 30 attendees). Should be interesting to see how many RSVP as it gets closer!

I think these are great! How did you know what size flip flop for all of your guests? Didyou ask in advance I am assuming....sorry off topic but curious how to go about doing this without looking tacky

They came in today!!!! YEAH, my first item to arrive for the wedding. Only bummer, there was no mention that I would have to fold all the little planes myself....I know what I am going to do in front of the TV tongiht
