I also have an Aunt in her 80's and a future mother in law in her 70's going to the RIU. I think they will be fine keeping each other company. They also will probably like the nightly shows and any music or activities such as pottery,etc during the day. Or just spending time with other family members and going to breakfast & lunch with family. There also is a botanical graden excursion they may like. It will all work out for you. I don't think they will be bored because the place is beautiful and they will have friends & family with them.

I also made my bookings with her via e-mail for 04/09. She did take a week or so to get back to me though.

Thanks. I did see her bouquet but that was the only free bouquet I found on the site. It was very pretty.

Hello. I was hoping some of the past ROR brides who chose the free bridal bouquets offered with the free wedding package, wouldn't mind putting pictures of theirs on this post. I have read thru alot of reviews but most have been pictures of upgrades or flowers ordered from somewhere else. I would appreciate any photos you could provide. Thanks:)

Hi, we booked this resort for our honeymoon in May 09. There is a site u can look at photos on now set up by 2 travel agents who were just there. It's Judyandmariastravel.com. It is coming along very nicely. We booked the Honeymoon villa (all adult side). The pool looks absolutely beautiful and these 2 travel agents r raving about the place when I e-mailed them. I did not book thru them just asked them a question. I booked thru Apple for very very cheap. The site will have a full review by the end of July. Hope u enjoy the photos:)

Hi everyone. My sister had given me this site & I thought it was so cool! They do custom-made flip flops that match your gown for the brides or your bridesmaids. I am definitely wearing bridal flip flops & not heels in the sand. These are be beautiful & comfortable looking! Thought you all might enjoy. Just an FYI- If u put more than 1 request thru on the website it does cancel your initial request. I read that on the RIU website. I tried booking well over a year in advance & my initial wedding date choice was unavailable already for the entire day. Sometimes they block out certain date & times due to the minister being unvailable at that time or on that day. I had to choose a different date.

You can e-mail the ROR sales person and they could most likely answer all your questions about what is wheelchair accesible. They got back to me in 1 day. For ROR the e-mail address is "[email protected]".

Hi, just a tidbit for anyone interested. They sell "wedding gratuity envelopes" for only $2.95 per dozen on "www.orientaltrading.com". I purchased them myself. I am going to write the name of each recipient very small on the envelope for referencing & put the tips in ahead of time & put them in the safe when I arrive. Then just put them in your bridal purse or give them to the best man & you'll be all set. you or whomever u choose can reference the names on each envelope & give them out accordingly. The site also has a whole wedding section & luau tropical section with many things u can use for welcome bags.

I have been visiting this site for a while before I decided to join & have seen many pictures of the weddings done by Michael & they all were very nice. It seemed like most complaints were that he was hard to contact when you arrive & then wanted cash instead of credit card. You also could tell him some of your own poses that u want or bring copies of some of the pics u have really liked of other weddings, if the other brides do no mind & ask him to take similar poses.

Hi, I have been to both Bourbon Street and to Margaritaville in Jamaica & they are really nothing alike. Margaritaville is just one bar, Bourbon St has so many. I thought margaritaville seemed like a fun place but not for the prices they wre charging. I think we paid over $10 each for a drink & they were not very big. Snacks were also very expensive. Just my opinion though.

I tried sending an e-mail to [email protected] thinking that was Chandlyn's e-mail address because that was listed on the Riu website for the ROR but they told me I couldn't book the Disco,etc until 1-2 months before my wedding date which is April 30,09. I see that u are getting married also in April 2009 & were told the sea grape was already booked so I wanted to try again. It looks as though most of the brides on this site booked their receptions prior to 1-2 months before their wedding dates & I don't want everything to be all booked up because I waited too long. I would appreciate it:) Thanks:)
