  1. haha i'm from the U.P. [michigan] and living in southern wisconsin. the "yooper" accent is very similar to canada. and i always seem to get made fun of for the way i say milk- like "malk" i guess.
  2. hoping to do some ellilptical-ing while watching project runway tonight thanks for keeping me motivated! [i need it] lol.
  3. hahaha. the whole time he was on the double decker bus he was just looking for a flipping tanning salon! Leanne has immunity right? so i'm guessing that it'll be joe or blayne [just checked out the website, that is the correct spelling apparantly].
  4. soo excited for tonight! we just got a little tv in our extra room, so i think i'll be working out on the elliptical during tonights show. yay! but more importantly, any thoughts on who should be "auf-ed" tonight? do you think blaine's time has finally come to an end? i am not ready to stella to go quite yet- i want to see more of her personality, and i think at this point in the game they can keep around some of the less talented folks just to give us a little more entertainment during the show.
  5. it is hard for me to pick a favorite at this point in the game. i really like some of the work that Kenley has done, but there is not clear "Christian" this season. he just really had his head on straight and knew exactly who he was as a designer. i do think jerell has a good chance to make it to the final 3.
  6. he does seem to just keep falling between the cracks. that pterodactyl was pretty bad...
  7. oh my gosh i LOVE it. please post when you get the neckline altered! i can't wait to see it congrats!
  8. haha so funny how this stuff sticks with us. i was thinking about conjunctions at work today. and, but, or, nor, for, yet, so *lets go!* good times. but seriously- anybody have great plans for the weekend?
  9. oooh.. think they filmed it? i would love to watch that
  10. i was getting so sick of keith. i was not a fan of his work- it just wasn't my thing. (or "my aesthetic" haha- i am definitely not in a profession where it is appropriate to use that phrase) Josh- ohmigosh! that dressing room is amazing. where can i get one? that does look like a fun assignment.
  11. i loved it too! i was surprised how pretty some of those queens were.
  12. the judges are a little crazy this season! i feel like they have gotten very rude with their comments to the designers. but then they'll go and vote off somebody who didn't receive the super-negative criticism. i'm pretty excited for tonight! do we have any idea what the challenge is?

    ikea!

well, i think it was a success. we already had a bunch of our "larger" furniture (couch, dining room table, desk) but we were able to get super cute new filing cabinet, some shelves, and a dresser. but the coolest thing we got was a "nightstand" that looks like a small chest or even a toybox. but then the top slides forward to reveal a hidden trunk. haha now we just have to figure out what to hide in it.

  17. those are great! i love them. you'll def. have to show us some pics from the party.
  18. i have! but it was when i was in 1992, and i was in 2nd grade. i don't remember specifics about the rides, and even if i did they would hardly be relevant anymore. have fun!!
  19. We're getting married in Jan. of 2010. we are also getting the planning started early to give our guests [& ourselves] plenty of time to save some $$$. i'm trying so hard not to make any final decisions yet, because i too am always changing my mind!
  20. i bought some green ones from Michael's a while back. they don't look quite as real as some of the other flowers i've seen around the forum, but i love them anyway.
  21. oh man, took me forever to find!!! i'm guessing you meant the "lua" style. soo confusing that all the styles start with the letter L !! & what a stickler of a website... even viewing the source i had no luck getting a picture link. But i absolutely love the dress! my initial thoughts are to try it on, or try to find something similar to try on, before having someone custom make you a dress. oh this seems like it might get tricky. i'll keep my eye out for something similar while on the dress hunt.
  22. well, they aren't nearly as put together as your other mailings, but they really aren't that bad! [okay maybe i'm being a little too optimistic here, but i don't think they are worth any more stress on your part]. the shower invite i received in the mail last month was one of those generic "fill-in-the-blank" types... and these are much better than that. i think that maybe all of us BDW girls are so used to seeing perfection in invitations and what is "great" to non-BDW guests seems "sub-par" to us. sure they aren't fabulous, but don't stress about redo-ing them. ultimately they'll just end up in the garbage anyway. i am on board with the majority here in making it VERY clear that you had no part in creating them. unless you have some serious time to kill, i say just use them.
