  1. I love your pics I Just look through them all You look beautiful and so happy!!!!!!! Did you upgrade the photo package or just use the basic?
  2. Pookie, you look absolutely stunning!!! I can't wait to see the rest of your pictures!!!!! Tlseege, thanks for posting that link! I love seeing pictures It make sme excited again that I choose the MP "Invade" any time you'd like
  3. Happy Birthday Morgan!!! Today, you should (stop and smell the roses) and then Hope you have a great day!!
  4. Hi there Welcome! We are doing an AHR, but probably not until March or April (I don't want to wait too long, but we'll need time to save a little more $$). We are doing it at a local hall...more low key than a "wedding" but more than a back yard party (even though I would have been happy with just a back yard party!). Happy Planning!!!

  6. Budget? What's a budget?? We tried to set one, and I'm keeping track of how much I spend on what, but a lot of the "big" costs will depend on how many people come (and what perks we get from the resort). Right now, we'll probably be going over our goal by about 5k which isn't too bad considering it's still half or less than half of what we'd be paying to get married in the NYC area. I saved a lot of money on my BM jewlery. I was looking at getting them JUST Swavorski starfish necklaces for about $20 each. Instead, I bought the crystals and I made them necklaces and matching earing and it came to less than $15 each.

And we just an insert from them saying that some fees are increasing. Ugh, everything is increasing...it's sooo frustrating! Our electric just went up!

The problems you've had with Fios sound like the ones we've had with DirecTv! What kind of charges and stuff show up on your bill? (so I know what to look for).
  9. They take your old one? I never did a name change, but I just renewed mine and changed my address (finally after 7 years of not living at my parents lol) and I kept my old one
  10. So, we're having Fios installed today...the whole 9 yards...Phone, Internet, TV...We're very excited!!!!! I just realized I didn't pick up a house phone! LOL (I haven't had one in about 4 years). We're waiting for the guy to get here and then I'll run to Best Buy (FI wants to make sure our wireless router and stuff will work with it). Does anyone have it? Do you like it? It's gonna take the guy like 4 hours to install everything!
  11. If you change it (drivers license, Social Security, etc), but just not your passport and hold onto your old liscense...you should be ok...then once you get back (or back from your next trip) you'd only have to do the passport
  12. Karina was my WC too...I'm so sad she's no longer doing wedding sales, but glad she got a promotion

It was really easy to do, but a B*tch to get it the right dimensions. I was going to go with an abbreviated version of my name (Dez or Des...but this was more fun)
  14. Wow! Sounds like you're really moving along!!!!! My shower is a "surprise" so I don't know when it's happening (but I htink I have an idea...then again, any time I'm told to keep a date free for something, I'm going to think that's when LOL). That first jewler you went to is outrageous!!!!!!! I thought the price for yours was a little high (but not too too hight), but what they wanted to charge for FI was rediculous. The second jewler sounds sooo much more reasonable! Did you post pics from your wine clubs party? if not...then do!!!!!! We're having work done around the house (Fios installed tom. and a deck built in the back yard thurs adn friday...so I've pretty much taken some time off from wedding stuff...I'll be back up and moving next week LOL)

Based on some of the posts here, it looks like you guys have a little fan club around here Not a bad thing! People are so quick to criticize when things are bad, that I like to recommend companies that are great doing business with, and you guys are one of them! The magnets came a sooner than we were expecting them, the quality is great and the price wasn't bad at all!! Not to mention the changes I made and the prompt replies to my emails Ok, now I'm starting to sound like an ad for you guys!!! I've also recommended you guys to people IRL (In Real Life lol)
  16. I have a question...I think it's more so for those already married at the MP (but if you know the answer, I don't care if you're married already or not lol). Has anyone else done the legal ceremony AND had the non-denominational minister? We are having both and I was wondering what the minister says and about how long it is. We want to add the sand cermony and have it read by my sister (MOH) and we were thinking of having our mom's read the hand cermony (because it makes me cry every time I read it) and we have really close friends doing a reading from Dr. Seuse's "The Places You Will Go". I'm afraid it might be too much, but I don't want the ceremony to be over in 10 minutes and I love all the aspects of it. There's a seperate thread coming on if it's too much but right now I'm concerned with how the resorts things go (ideas of what they say, how long it is, etc)
  17. Thanks! I just sent the link to my sister too
  18. I have a 2pm slot...but we were so far in advance, that I actually choose that time. We're doing a coctail hour after and then a reception...but I know of people who didn't want to do the private functions so they had an "informal" get together afterwards at one of the bars 1PM - Ceremony 2PM - Drinks/Snacks at XXX Bar, Poolside 5PM - Dinner at XXX Or however you want to split up the time. Some other brides have given guests the "afternoon off" so if they wanted to nap or swim during that time they could...then just meet up again for dinner.
  19. Welcome to the forum!!!!! I used you for my STD's and couldn't be happier!!!!! If you do a search for magnetstreet you'll see multiple posts where I talk about how great you guys were to work with. Welcome to the forum!!!!
  20. Haha, so cute! I've seen really nice franmes where you can engrave the date under each picutre if you want and a saying accross the top (I'm going to get one for my sister)... Customizable Frame for Parents, Grandparents or Special Friends - Exclusively Weddings

We're wanting it to be really intimate. We are getting married at 1 and are trying to figure out the best way to plan things. We may just have a late lunch/early dinner with everyone. We've looked at the boat trips as well to Isla Mujeres, and its still an option but costs 65-75 a person!! I haven't seen anything associated with the Moon Palace but if you find something let me know!!! I don't think we're going to do a formal cocktail hour either. Does anyone know where you dance and do all of that stuff if you just have your group eat as a group in the restaurant?? how does that work?? I just saw your post and was like "OMG, I have a date/location twin!!" So I went back and checked, her signature says June 17th I think
  22. Maura, your dress is beautiful and you look georgious in it!!! I can't wait to see the pics of you in on on your big day! You look FABULOUS!!!
