Hey Chandlyn emailed me and told me that the area for poolside reception is lite with flood lights and miniture lights, she said that they also have candles on the table, but I dont know that they look like she did not specify!

Hey Guys I just sent Travellers checks to Jamaica to Tai Flora Services. I had been talking to Jennivie for a while and she has to special order my flowers so I had to put down a deposit. So I went to the bank you sign one line there, then I had to sign the other line before putting them in the mail and put who they were too on them. What I was told about taking them down there is you sign one line at bank then sign second line in front on person you are giving it to and address it to them. hope this helps!

Does anyone know how much just chair covers are at the ROR. If I brought my own sashes how much would I pay to rent just the covers?? I am not sure it is worth bringing my own sashes,.. if anyone knows would love there in put Thanks

Hey Ladies I am just paranoid now... So I got my wedding voucher in my email a while ago.. the one you have to take to the resort with you!! Once you have this you are confirmed right I dont have to do anything else?? I have planned tons with Chandlyn already but I am just so nervous because it is all done over email. I know you guys can calm my fears hahaha

Their email is [email protected]. I have been speaking to Jennivie and she responds to my emails very quick. I have planned all my flowers for my wedding in April already. I am getting my bouquet, 3 bridemaids, 2 coursages, 6 boutanerries, 2 gazebo decorations and 2 aisle markers all for $990 including tax, so I dont think they are that expensive. Also with people saying you just get what they have that day.. that is like any florist unless you arrange ahead of time. They said they can guarentee my flowers as long as I give 2 weeks notice so they can get them. I sent them 2 pictures of what I want and they said they will duplicate. They have been great. I just have to pay 25% now and the balance on arrival. I choose white calla lillies and pink star gazer lillies!

Hi Ladies Chandlyn emailed me back and said we can arrange to have wine availible for my guests at the bar, and waiters can serve them or they can get it.. so that makes me happy, at least it is availible! Thanks for your help though!~

Hey Ladies I am having a poolside dinner/reception. Before I booked I emailed Chandlyn and asked about what the open bar is she said it is a "full open bar". I recently emailed her to see if wine is on every table and she responded saying "wine is not included in the open bar"... now does that mean that people cant even go up and get a glass if they want. Wine is popular and I cant imagine having a dinner service with no option of Wine. In the past brides that have had dinner on the beach/poolside have you had wine availible to you Thanks

I am doing the poolside.. the whole dinner and everything there though. Chandlyn told me they are round tables that seat 8.. white linin on them. THey put candles on the tables. Also they light the area with flood lights and littlle lights (i think she means the little christmas lights).

Hey My wedding is not until April 22nd 2009, and I have already booked, my poolside reception, dj, cocktail hour. So you can definately book, I emailed Chandlyn and she got back to me quick. Also I have booked my outside photograper, and I have been talking to a few different florists. You can do a ton before you get there!

We picked Staceyt because I loved her pictures and she was a little cheaper then the other ones, adn she was willing to customize for us. She is doing 8 hours for us. Very happy with our choice!

Hey ladies you will be the only one who appreciates my excitement but I booked my Photographer!! Stacey Clarke out of Negril. She has amazing pictures and is very resonable with her prices. I emailed Riu head office and they wrote back saying all I had to do was purchase a day pass.. so I hope I dont run into a problem with Micheal!

You can contact Tai Flora yourself for a quote, without Chandlyn that is what I did. I will post the other florist email tomorrow, cant get to it from this computer! Thanks

I got a quote from Tai Flora for Calla lilly bridemaids bouquet and they were 65 I think.. I got a quote for my bouquet with calla lillies and star gazer lilles, 3 x bridemaids, 6 x boutanierres and 2 x coursages for $570.. not bad. I also am talking to another florist and she can do calla lillies too..

Hi ladies So the quote I got from AA was $520, I emailed Tai Flora for a quote on the exact same items, and she gave me a quote for $570... so I think I might get the real ones.. just personal preference. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the reply, but have you seen them in person. My fear is that I have seen so many from AA in pictures but I fear they will look fake in person.

Hi Ladies I know there is a million threads on flowers, but I am so torn on what to do. I got a quote from AA that was $520 for my bouquet, 3 x bridesmaids, 2 x corsages, 6x boutaneirs. Now my fear is they will look fake. I really want real ones but I heard they are expensive and you cant guarentee what you will get. I also am afraid they will loook wilted in the heat.. so now my dilemma should I go with fake or wait and get real when I get down there? Please any help!!!!

I am having my dinner and reception by the pool and they set up a full bar for us so if you have it at the beach gazebo I am sure they can set up a full bar there for you.. would not hurt to ask!

Did your flowers look real or could you tell they were fake.. I cant decide if I should bring my own or do the real touch ones... would appreciate any input you have!

That may be just a picture of a poolside reception but it does not look like the Riu Ocho Rios, the tile on the pool is different, the cement around the pool is different. Just does not look like the Riu, I could be wrong but it does not look like the pictures of the pools!

Marnie, I dont know if you can set up by the pool if you are not having dinner, just email Chandlyn and ask her. She was quick to reply to me. I imagine you probably can but I dont know for sure!
