I know people said the DJ plays what you hear on the radio but does he also have oldies that are traditionally played at weddings?? does he do a good mix of fast and slow songs??

Hey girls anyone who used the CD player on the beach for there Ceremony can you tell me if you used burned CDs and if they worked. I am about to burn all my music then worried maybe burned Cds wont play. Would Appreciate any info you can provide!

anyone who got there make up done there, did they use new brushes for your application?? Was it just like getting make up done at home?

I am using Tai Flora in Ocho Rios, I have been emaiing back and forth Jennevie and she has been great. She told me that they can get in any flowers as long as they have three weeks notice. You can google them and look at there site and then email them!

those of you who have flown from Canada to Jamaica with skyservice can you plese tell me how much luggage and weight you are allowed. THeir website says 2 bags each TOTAL weight of 44lbs.. THAT IS CRAZY!! Air canada is allowed 2 bags per person with 50lbs PER BAG allowed. I am afraid I wont be able to get my luggage to this weight. Plus you have to pay $20.00 per extra KG that is soooo much. Looking for past brides in put! Also how were they with your dress?? where did you put it Thanks Jill

What are you ladies doing for favors at the reception.. I have no clue what to do. I am making OOT bags for eveyone so I have thought about forgoing favors but I dunno.. would love some input!

For the ladies that got there make up done at ROR did you bring your own or use theirs. I am not a huge make up person so it is an expense to buy all new stuff for the wedding, I was thinking of just bringing my own mascara but using their stuff for everything else.. what do you think

I am getting married at ROR in April and my sister is my MOH and I am wondering if anyone knows if she can sign the wedding certificate and be my witness, I know some places dont let immidiate family be a witness.. has anyone had immidiate family sign for them at ROR!!?? Thanks

Hey Congrats!! I am having a poolside reception in April so I am very happy to see the reception looked beautiful!! Sets my mind at ease. Just one question did you have your own DJ or the resort DJ?? How was he and his music?? Also can you comment on the buffet dinner.. I have the menu and I also know there is a salad bar. But would love to know what you thought of the food?? Thanks again! -

Hey ladies I am getting married at the Riu ocho Rios, I got all my documents noterized today. I got my birth certificate , drivers license and passport done. Now do I photocopy the noterized copies and send that and then take the original noterized copy plus original documents when I go?? or do I send the original noterized copies?? Also I only have a short Birth Certificate so I used that, now I know on here people have said you need a long one and others say no just the short.. can someone who got married there that used a short let me know that it is ok!! Thanks

Hey ladies I got the menu from Chandlyn for the BBQ menu for my poolside reception.. it is buffet, she put on it the BBQ items (meat) and the grilled items (corn, veg, etc etc) then the sauces and dessert, but my question for people who have had it are is there salads too?? I am making my menus and would like to make sure I include it all! Thanks Jill

Amagee Can you forward on the name of the Lawyer you found in Whitby.. I am in Whitby too so to make it easy maybe I will just call him!! Also what do I actually have to take to the laywer, just my birth certificate, Drivers license and passport and does he copy them and noterize.. I am sooo confused!!

Pictures are important to me and I felt that Micheal was expensive for what you got so I started researching outside photographers and I hired an outside one, she told me I would get around 800-1300 pictures for 8 hours worth of coverage.. and the price is $1900, so I think that is much better for the time and that she is there all day and the number of photos you get. If you want her name PM me!

Hey Ladies Any of you brides that have gotten married on the beach and used the CD player for the ceremony part was it loud enough, did it sound good. I am torn between steal band who only has limited songs to choose from and CD player which I dunno how it sounds Also I need some help picking songs.. can you girls give me some ideas for songs you are using in your ceremony!! Hey ladies I looked on that website posted earlier on in the thread, and I emailed Chandlyn about the size of the Aisle and then I went to the site and for the number of petals I need it says it will be like $900.00 that is crazy I am not paying that much for petals only!!! Does anyone know how many petals come in a bag from Tai Flora?? THanks

Hey you might want to check out Stacey Clarke. She is out of Negril. IF you google her you can look on her website. She has a calender on there that states what days she is availible. she is resonable in her costs too. I am using her for my April 2009 wedding!

Hey Girls I dealt with Tai Flora directly. I found the bouquet I wanted and I emailed them with my request they sent me a bunch of quotes and suggestions for my gazebo flowers. I then sent them a deposit by travellers check!! They were great to work with. Hope that helps Basically you can get whatever you want just give them 3 weeks notice!
