  1. We used him and enjoyed working with... we won't get our pics until November. I think he is worth the money.
  2. My friends had a yard sale and put up huges sign that said: All the profits go to the cancer research. They put up pictures and gave info about the walk. We all donated our old junk for them to sell. Many people gave donations. They made over 1,000 dollars. Good luck to you!
  3. We heard the same things! But when everyone got there they had a blast. Those that came were the ones that were meant to be... those who didn't come to understand and get over it. Lean on each other... Jason and I got really close because of all the drama. We learned that we have to make us happy! I know our marriage is stronger for it and I know yours will be too! Good luck to you!
  4. You could come up with a cute little saying like: Help us share sweet dreams for a lifetime... and then list the store you want gift cards from or where you have a wish list. I always say spread the word too... people will share the scoop with others! Good luck to you!
  5. Thanks! I hope this helps others.. we just bought stuff as we saw it! We loved dollar trees, targets, and other discount stores! Good luck to all... may your guests appreciate your hard work as much as ours did! Here's what we had in the welcome note that was tied on the tote bags: Dear Sue & Ben, Thank you for joining us in Cabo for this special time in our lives. We are blessed to have family and friends who love us to enough make this long trip! This welcome bag is a small token of our appreciation! We hope these items will make your stay at Dreams Los Cabos even better! Cabo is where the mountains, the desert, and the sea meet. It is here that we thought that the Miller family, the Frisk family, and our friends could meet as well! In this bag you will find a welcome book of our guests. We hope that this will help you get to know all the important people in our lives! As we start our lives together, we look back at the last 28 years and cherish the time we’ve spent with each of you. We look forward to making more memories with you in Cabo and in the years to come! Muchas Gracias, Brianne & Jason
  6. Welcome! Wishing you and Eddie all the best as you plan your big day!

  8. Welcome... we love pictures around here:)
  9. Welcome Nancy! Cabo is great... good luck as you plan your big day!
  10. I agree with Sassy bride... I used Suzanne Moral and Juan Carlos... loved them both! I don't have my pics yet, but he is great to work with:) Good luck to you! Suzanne Moral Hair and Make-up (A+) [email protected] I had my hair and make-up trial on Friday, one day prior to the wedding. I took a taxi from Dreams to the salon and was greeted by Suzanne Moral herself. She was charming. The salon was very nice. The girls who worked with me were Paola, an interpreter and coordinator and Adriana a stylist. I did not have pictures, since I didn’t want to have my heart set on a specific hairstyle. I have very thick, long, curly hair, and it was over 100 degrees on the day of our wedding. I wanted to see what they could do with my hair. I tried 2 styles, one half down and the other up. They were very patient with me & would have tried anything I asked. My trail took over 4 hours and I never felt rushed. They encouraged me to take photos and see how the hair and make-up looked on camera. After the hair trails I decided, based on the heat and humidity to go with my hair up. The make-up was great as well! The MAC products lasted in heat, humidity, and rain! I had a little difficulty at the trail with the eye make-up, I explained that I didn’t want too much and they did a great job on the day of my wedding. I got so many compliments; I looked like me, just better! I have had strangers stop me all week while we were at Dreams to ask if I was the bride & to complement me. This salon was well worth the money, just know they include a 15% gratuity, I didn’t realize that and tipped even more. Tip for future brides: Bring a lipstick & liner you love to blend with the products they use. This makes touch-up during the big day easier. They have a MAC store in Cabo if you want to wait and see what they use. If you have your trial the day before you can wear it to your rehearsal dinner/ cruise. They did a cute little ponytail up-do for me to wear on the cruise that night after my trial. I wore some of make-up to see how it lasted. I looked great for our cruise and I got used to the make-up as well. COST= $ 431.25 TIP= $100.00
  11. Okay, I just saw them... I understand your point! However, I still say let it go.... keep the big picture in mind!
  12. I need to see pics! I know this hard to do, but I learned that sometimes you have to let somethings go in this journey. Most people mean well, but some people just have bad taste! For example, my aunt made these horrible HUGE flowers for my family and I to wear at my shower! I wanted to throw them away... they were so heavy and looked dumb on my dress! However, I wore it & looking back it turned out fine. It made her so happy and in the end I am glad I could do that. Only 2 weeks after my shower she had a heart attack... she is okay now but I am thankful I didn't hurt her feelings. I forgot all about the flowers until I read your post.. Honestly it fades, but hurt feelings may take longer! Good luck in making your choice! Here's a pic of the flowers- try not to laugh...
  13. We learned together we make a great team... we had such a good time planning our DW. We got so close since we did so much ourselves. We also learned that we have to do what makes us happy... I know our marriage will be so much stronger because of all the experiences we've shared through this process! Here are some tips for others: * Print out all the final confirmation e-mails, spreadsheets, and contracts you have from vendors & your resort. We got an accordion folder and made a section for each vendor. That made it easy to verify price and get any phone numbers needed to make last minute phone calls. * Have envelopes marked with your final payments and tips ready. This is helpful when you go to make those final payments. You’ll have the cash for tips & be ready to enjoy your big day! Take a range of money, we had a bunch of $100.00 bills and often we needed a $20.00. Mix it up, ones & fives are great for tipping. * Have a backup of your vows, menu, and music play list. We e-mailed our vows to the minister weeks before the ceremony, but he had computer issues and called us the day before our wedding and asked us to re-email them to him! Thankfully we had everything saved to a key. * Send out a reminder e-mail to guests a few days prior to your departure. Remind them about important things needed such as: passports, photo memory cards, phone chargers, and other things that are easily forgotten. We sent out links to the airlines so that guest could check airline requirements for carry-ons and their flight status. We also provided the contact phone number for our resort and our TA, so that they could leave these numbers with close friends and family incase of an emergency. Many of our guests commented that this was helpful. We sent a travel brochure a few weeks before in the mail, but the e-mail was a good last minute packing checklist! * If you get your nails done prior to leaving, get the white tips put on with the UV gel on top. My french manicure looked great for 13 days! Some of my friends got the acrylic french and it turned yellow in the sun! * Be sure to get a good picture of you both at the wedding. It will be 3 months until we see our real pictures! We wish we had just a few of just the 2 of us looking at the camera.
  14. Warm thoughts are sent to your family. Prayers are with you too. The time we have with those we love matters... I am glad you both got to spend time with him just a few weeks ago.
  15. Great find... you have a good eye! Those will look great:) Congrats!
  16. Welcome home... I love the pics! Wow, everything looks perfect! You looked like a princess! Great flower and color choice! Can't wait to read and see more!

The sunscreen came in really handy for many guests since they didnt check luggage, they could not bring a large tube. We brought about 50 lbs worth of stuff and boxes during our site visit and left it with Mariana at Dreams. This was a tremendous help, we highly recommend this. You will always find last minute items you need to bring and you dont want to have to pay for an extra bag if you dont have to. Our site visit was short and we had plenty of room to bring the bigger stuff. We brought it inside a smaller luggage container and then stuffed the empty one inside the large one to bring the bag home. The Dreams employees thought we were running some sort of store out of our room with all this stuff! The one guy actually wanted to buy one of our spanish/english dictionaries. Too bad we didnt have any extras, we would have given him one Recommendations: ------------------- - Crossword Puzzle/ Word Find / Sudoku books would be a nice addition - Photo books took a lot of time to find photos of guests and print but it helped our guests get to know one another quicker. Since our guests arrived on different days, this came in handy. Sorry for the delay, we know its important to Give Back!
  20. I believe you need the blackberry desktop software, i have 8830 model and once its setup for the first time, once i connect the phone it shows my memory card as another drive letter just like any other usb device. THen i just copy/paste or drag and drop music to the music folder. Not sure if the curve works the same or not. The software is free : https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22
