  1. As I was posting the above message, FI walked up, grabbed my gatorade bottle and chugged the remaining portion. And that was the last bottle I had. My jaw hit the floor as that is the only thing that has stayed in my body over the last few days!!!!! Alas - he is off to buy some more for me...
  2. Congratulations Xandra!!!! See - you knew this would be your week!! Way to go!! I have been battling some sort of stomach virus and I'm still not keeping food down. I haven't even weighed in. I'm sure I'm down because I have nothing in my system, but I feel bloated and disgusting. My stomach feels hard, and not in the good muscle-y way! Anyway - I'm just super dehydrated and Gatorade seems to be the only thing that stays in my body at the moment!! GRRR... Good news is my energy is coming back. I could hardly stand on Thursday. Anyway - congrats to all of you who lost this week!!!

  4. Jessica - congrats on getting the Mitachi!! That is AWESOME!!! IndyPitty! Wow! 3 weeks is right around the corner! I'm excited for you! Does anyone know what the Hotel Property Code for the Hilton Cancun is? I'm trying to log on and see the guest list manager, but I need that code to do so...
  5. So excited for you!!! Congratulations and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

That list makes me sad. I haven't done much traveling in the last few years - all of that was years ago! I miss the good old days!
  7. Oh, gosh, I am so sorry. That's awful. Anyone who would write that on an RSVP card shouldn't be included anyway! We'll all be your pseudo-MOHs and we'll support you from afar! It will be okay! You and FI being there is all that matters!
  8. CONGRATULATIONS TERRI!!! I'm up a pound, but all things considered, I'm actually pleased with that! Aunt Flo is here and I've been traveling, not sleeping, and eating crap. This was a ridiculous week, but I am ready to get back on track this week! Foshizzle! Danielle - awesome news on your pants being lose! Isn't that awesome?!?! Way to go!
  9. OMG - atrocious weekend! Crappy food, alcohol! You name it! And I slept about 12 hours a day, which was fantastic as I was so incredibly sleep-deprived last week, but I feel like a lazy sloth. AND no exercise. And - I'm leaving first thing in the morning and I'll be out of town for work all week! Not good!

I'm dying to see if she is available on my date, but I haven't received a response yet. (Although I just emailed her on Friday, so I should probably be a bit more patient.) I tried the number on her website, and it didn't work!
  11. I just went to Target yesterday and they had 1oz Banana Boat SPF 30 for 99 cents a piece. That's the best deal I've seen anywhere. I'd keep checking Target's travel section because I think they just got these in. Also, I bought the same Aloe Vera Gel from Fruit of the Earth that someone mentioned above, but I got it from Travel Size King and paid $1.16 per 2oz bottle... Hope that helps!
  12. I went yesterday to find the bags with no luck. However, I did find 1oz Banana Boat SPF 30 tubes in the travel section for 99 cents a piece! That's the best I've found them anywhere, so I bought 70!

  14. Are you guys planning to use a band or a DJ? Do you know if the Hilton has a DJ they typically use? I feel like I've asked this to someone before and I can't remember the answer....

We take half a pill every time we feel anything wrong and it works like magic. Maybe you should talk to your doctor and see if you can bring something similar just in case. Oh - thank you so much for mentioning this!!! Someone told me about something called Align a long time ago and I completely forgot about it until now. I think Align is OTC and probably not nearly as strong as Cipro. I'll have Mom talk to her doc before we go. Thank you!

I'm a big advocate of the healthy way. But I was just so sick to my stomach from worry that I literally couldn't even look at food. But I'm going to get back on track now. I had grilled chicken today with a side dish of salad. Delicious! Quote: Originally Posted by Alyssa Hi girls! Alyssa and Glenda - how are you guys doing? I hope things are slowing down for you guys and you are able to relax this weekend!

But she's scared because my parents drove across the border in the 1970s and my mom got so sick with Montezuma's Revenge she vowed never to go back. You have no idea how many conversations I've had trying to convince her that driving into rural Mexico is nowhere near the same thing as going to a tourist town. AND - that was 30 years ago!! Anyway - she's been really cute about it. I know she's scared to death, but every time I talk to her she just says "honey, whatever you want to do, we'll be there!" - but I can hear the quiver in her voice. SO...we're taking both of our parents down there in June. That way my mom can see the place and feel more comfortable when we go down there for the big event. She was in a really bad car accident a few years ago and has some anxiety issues, so I just want to get her down there early so she'll feel more comfortable. It takes her awhile to adjust sometimes, and if she arrived the day before the wedding, I think I'd be so worried about her that I wouldn't be able to focus. AND I'm going to stock her room with bottled water from Costco. Otherwise, I think she'd pass out from dehydration. No matter how much I tell her that the water is purified! I really do love her to death though...she really is cute about it...
  18. I went to a wedding where the bride and groom walked in to "This is Why I'm Hot" We'd like a fun song for our ceremony entrance too, and we haven't found anything yet!
  19. Okay, thanks. That helps. I've just started freaking out about a rehearsal dinner dress and new bathing suit. Come October/November, tropical attire will not be in the stores! Have you guys thought about purchasing that stuff ahead of time? I'm planning on losing some more weight by then, so this is hard!!

I want to write our ceremony and see how long it's going to be first. But we're having a cocktail hour after the ceremony and I'd like the sun to be setting during that time. Are you planning on seeing the groom and taking pics prior to the ceremony? Or did Claudia think that with a 4pm start time she still have enough sunlight after the ceremony to snap some pics of the happy couple? I would LOVE to go to a wedding just as a guest!! (We do love all of our friends dearly and are very honored to be a part of their special days.)
  21. I just realized what "TIA" means. LOL. I think I'm losing it. I've seen that posted several times and all it made me do is think of this girl name Tia who I went to middle school with. But after typing my last post and saying THANKS at the end, I hit submit and realized what TIA is! AHHH!! Need sleep.
  22. For those of you getting married on the Cancun/Riviera Maya side of the country, what time is your ceremony starting? I believe the sun is fully set by 5pm that time of year. Is that correct? THANKS!
  23. What's crazy is that last year we had 10. I don't understand how we still have any single friends. I think we've spent more money on weddings in the past two years...I don't even want to add it up!!

I don't know if I should resend the email, or what. I talked to Adam and he said that if we don't get the restaurant it would be fine and we would have a great reception at one of the other locations - probably either the Caribe terrace or Miramar garden. I'm not sure how I would want the Caribe set up if we did it there, and the Miramar garden seems way too big for our small group of about 40. And then I was thinking maybe the pool deck? But I haven't really seen any pics of receptions held on the pool deck so I don't know how that would look. So it looks like most likely we will try to stay with Hilton..but now I need to decide where I want the reception and I'm not really sure right now - which makes it hard to sign a contract! I know everything will get sooo much easier once we get all this figured out, but it seems like we'll never get to that point (especially at this slow, once a week email rate that Fernanda is going at). I know it's hard when you want everything to be perfect! I do think you will have a beautiful reception in any of those locations. I think you could do a reception for 40 in the Garden! Where is your ceremony going to be? You could even do it all in one spot! Here's a pic of a reception set-up on the pool deck. I believe this was a "themed" reception for Caribbean Nights. Fernanda told me that if I changed my mind about the location for everything, I could always change it later. AS LONG AS IT WAS STILL AVAILABLE. But April 2009 is a while away, so don't put too much pressure on yourself! I'm going back for a 2nd site visit in June (with both our parents) and I could take some more pictures for you if that would help? Maybe they will have a reception set-up on the Caribe Terrace and I could take some shots?
