I'm not 100% sure on the policy... but my guess would be that your family would need a guest pass to come to the resort no matter what day it is. Also, just wanted to make sure you are aware of the Riu 80% rule: *In order to have a wedding at our RIU Hotels & Resorts, the couple and the 80 percent of the total amount of the wedding guests must stay at the hotel where the wedding will be performed. This is a strict Riu policy we must follow. (Taken from Riu wedding FAQ)

Not sure his last name... maybe a previous ROR bride can help. I know his first name is Michael and I have a price list thing that says Best Images Photgraphy & More. I believe some girls have emailed him for his 'portfolio'... but as I'm not using him (and as I'm still waiting to confirm my wedding date so I can talk to ROR) I don't know what it is. Nic - I'm just hoping we don't have any issues with him. Previous posts said he can be a bit difficult when bringing in an outside photographer... however the last couple of girls who came back have been more positive! So hopefully by next year when we go it wont be an issue at all!

I like the idea of having everyone back to your room... especially if you have (or someone in your group) has a suite. Also... not sure what your budget is like, but you could look into scheduling a sunset catamaran or something.

Has anyone gotten any feedback from their guests when they used the BP as their formal invites? I think they are so fun and am working on mine now! I just keep debating on whether I want to do a one page more formal invite to include with it.

I am still debating whether my OOT will turn into "get ready bags". I love the idea of having something to surprise guests when they arrive... but am worried about being able to pack everything to get it down there. Either way I think the bags will have most of the same stuff.... meds, sunscreen, snacks, games (maybe even more so if given ahead of time for the plane), travel mugs... Plus I really like the idea of luggage tags given before hand. It might even be nice for the guests to have them before time so they don't double pack things.

Random question ... but does anyone know if we need all these forms notarized if we are just doing the Sybolic ceremony? FI and I plan on getting married in the states before we leave... so we aren't technically applying for a marriage licence of Jamaica.

Hmm... I have been emailing my TA about ceremony types and we just decided symbolic would work for us as we plan to get married ahead of time. She didnt mention needing the license to do it... but I will email and ask her.
