  1. I think we will go w/ the dj through RIU as well. I heard he was pretty good and that way I don't have to worry about it (or have to find a family/friend to man the ipod).
  2. Beautiful! Love them We just started looking and its so much fun!
  3. We are doing "Collide" by Howie Day... when we first started dating Sean would play it for me on his guitar so it kinda became our song.
  4. Having dinner w/ my whole family and Sean. Plus my one of my BM just called and is coming in town for Easter... so we get to have some girl time Saturday! yay
  5. I also got the make-over and free trip offers... didn't realize that was what it was from. I had filled out so many different wedding stuff (especially after our local bridal show). A quick and honest no though usually does the trick. And although I didn't end up going w/ Davids Bridal I actually had a really good experience with them all 3 times I went.
  6. In my opinion its fine... but I mentioned giving mine out at Christmas to my grandma and she freaked saying I needed to mail that sort of thing. To save the conflict I mailed them... but IMHO you could easily just hand them out in person.
  7. Old Navy has a bunch of all white stuff (including dresses) right now. I noticed it yesterday when I walked by the store... I didn't go in, so I'm not sure what they look like though.

(I know that sounds weird... but I'm kinda picky about flavoring and waxyness of chapstick). That seems like such a great find! I am eager to go look for them here.

You don't have to decide now - you can look when you get there and tell the wc at your meeting. They are okay with switching locations then? I know they had us put in our preference when we did our date request... and was wondering when we had to decide for sure. Do you think it matters at all what the other brides are doing that day (if someone has the same day)? I would assume it wouldn't... it can't take that long to change out the decorations if necessary.
  10. Congrats! I would think of looking at date or time of year first. This was the hardest choice for us... and the most important aspect for many of our guests. Then just start looking at locaitons and maybe talk w/ a TA to find a place and resort that works best for you! Happy Plannin

I really am not sure yet... I was thinking of having the BM carry parasols instead of flowers. For mine... I want the tropical look w/ the pinks/orange combinations I guess that is why I was leaning towards the pink. I'm just afraid of how "bright" the dresses will be in these colors once they get in. It's hard ordering off of the small sample swatches they offer. However, I do want a more bright, tropical feel. I considered going more neutral (dark brown, navy, black, etc) so that the girls could potentially re-wear them... however don't know if it will fit the feel of the wedding. The BMs all just tell me to do what I want and that the re-wearability isn't an issue... they just want me to be happy. Sadly I just don't know what I want! Here is the website that lets you "see" all the colors w/ the dress. Alfred Angelo... Find the perfect Wedding Dress, Bridesmaid Dress, Prom Dress, Flower Girl Dress or Mother of the Bride Dress at Alfred Angelo. My only concern is that the dress my sister was in was eggplant... my photo shows it darker than it really is... but it was darker than what the website shows. So its not exactly true to color.
  12. Oh my goodness... why wouldn't you have tied that balloon down!
  13. I thought of it as well because it is so beautfiul. But I believe they have it set up in the grass.... and I decided I really wanted a beach wedding. It would be gorgeous though!
  14. Thanks everyone for your help! Quote: Originally Posted by becks I like the pink. But, admitedly, I'm biased. I always like the pink. But the dresses are gorgeous! So beachy and flowy! Whose are they It's Alfred Angel 6471. (A great deal... only $106 each!)
  15. I just got home from dress shopping with my wonderful 2 younger sisters and think that we finally found our BM dresses! I have been so undecisive on this issue... this is dress #3... but I think this might be the one that sticks. We wanted something light and flowy for the beach. Please let me know what you think! All my girls have been wonderful at letting me choose... but I sometimes feel like I can't get their honest opinion because they don't want to upset me. I 'think' they really like this one... but any experience with the dress or other thoughts would be appreciated! Also, any thoughts on the color options would be great. My dress is diamond white and my fiance will be in a khaki suit. The GM will be in khaki pants, short-sleeve white button-up/camp style shirts with tan sandals. I am currently leaning towards the pink (my favorite color)... but love something about the jade as well. Here's the dress on my sister (right)... sorry about the poor lighting: And here is it on the model in the two colors....Fuschia and Jade Thanks!
  16. I'm not 100% sure of the policy or anything... but I know brides have been having issues with Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica. I have yet to hear anyone try and bring in an outside cake or flowers. But the issue of photographers have defintely came up. I have heard of charges for breach of contact along with day pass fees along with some quotes saying outside photographers (even if guests of the resort) are not allowed.
  17. Most brides bring their own sand ceremony stuff. I'm not sure if the resort has any supplies. If you do a search for sand ceremony you should be able to find some more information on wording and pictures of different containers.
  18. I think you look beautiful! your dress is absolutely gorgous.
  19. Welcome! Hopefully you can find what you need here... there is tons of great info! If not, I've found that TA specializing in destination weddings are amazing to work with to help find the perfect resort for you and your guests. Good luck and happy planning!
