ladies... thank you so much fo all your support and input. I think that we are going to try and go with the 17th (SUNDAY) ... we were thinking of actually changing resorts. We were thinking of going from Dreams, Cancun , Mexico to Dreams, Punta CAna, Dominican Republic. Thing is i'm dominican and if i hold the wedding in Punta Cana i would have to invite all of my DOminican reletaives, which would in turn, double my guest list. Not only that, but the vision for my wedding would have to be ltered to accomadate the language barrier between the guests. Just doing pro's and con's right now. I'll keep you all posted. <3 thanks again

sooo ... just recieved the confirmation e-mail that let me know that dreams, cancun isnt available for friday 8/8/08 or any other weekend in all of august! grrr.... i feel like their system must be flawed in some way becuase i put my request in over 3 weeks ago! and i must admit that i knew it would be a stretch but it allowed me to fill out a request form, where as RIU wont let you unless the date/time and place of ceremony is avaiable. im just so angry right now, just spent the last half hour on the phone with the FI and now all we have planned is out the window. However, i must say Daniella was nice enough to let us know which days were avaiable and we are thinking either MONDAY the 18th ... or ... SUNDAY the 24th... which date would you pick as a bride? which day would you be more hesitant to attend as a guest? ** and for those brides out there that did get married during the week? what was your outcome? thanks for all your input girls ... its greatly appriciated

i am doing the black and white them as well we were thinking about just plan white long table with white candles all down the middle in a straight line then black flat rocks scattered all around the candles and then as seat names write their names on one of the black rocks. also as the table names we were going to do a black and white picture of our theme is love is........ one table would be patient then kind etc etc hope this helps

[not sure if i want to give them an old newspaper - map of ddestination [cancun for me] / guides / brochures - map of hotel & its ameneties - our theme is "Love is our greatest Fortune" [he asked me to marry him with a fortune cookie/ the ring was steamed into it] so... fortune cookie with a personalized thanks inside for each quest - 2 postcards ... - one to be mailed back to us with highlight of trip (stole that idea) - one for own keepsake - advil/tylonol- some type of medicine to cure hangovers, lol - customized shot glasses - personalized chapsticks [not sure about this one yet] www.lipblamexpresss.com - jones personalized soda bottles w/ our picture on it [www.myjones.com] *** def not putting all these in each bag ... depends how much the final count is... what would you like to recieve in yours? what did you give out in yours? HELP !!!
