martha i know you can carry on at least 1 pack of cigs.... jose does when he flies and has never had a problem doing it. he smokes ocasionally and that is the first thing that i demand stops the minute we are married! it is the most digusting habit!

abbie, could you please start a thread, being our resident airline expert, so that girls from everywhere flying to all destinations will know about this?

martha & abbie, since we're also living in sin already, we're spending the night before the wedding together too. having breakfast and then we will part ways until church time at noon so we can get the actual catholic sacrament, and then we will each get ready and change clothes again before the 6 pm ceremony with our guests!

i am leaving any minute to go meet jose to fill out our marriage application and pick up our paperwork for our officiant to sign - i am so nervous i could puke and all we're doing is picking up paperwork!!!!! if i am freaking this much today, how bad will i be freaking on the wedding day?!

erica, i called AA and asked about my dress and they said i could have that be my personal item in addition to a carry on piece of luggage. however, i'm considering just putting my dress inside a carry on piece of luggage anyway because the hotel is going to steam out the wrinkles for me anyway. i know it will be safe and i wont worry if it's inside of a suitcase. i remember recently reading from someone else on here (i think it was helen s?) that on their flight to her daughter's wedding, she was not the only bride, and they did not have a closet for her to hang anything. some of the brides dresses had to go in the overhead bins, and luckily hers was in a suitcase so nothing happened to it. i'm really really considering doing this. so so glad you got jorge a new ring! hang onto it! dont let it out of your sight haha to answer your question about how long we're staying - we fly down on a wednesday morning and get married saturday and then stay until the following saturday for the honeymoon.

yaay how exciting nicole! we are picking up our marriage certificate tomorrow at lunch time so on our legal day all that has to be done is sign it and send it in to the county! i agree 3 swim suits is better!

lauren! so glad you recommended david sedaris. he is one of my all time favorite authors. i have all of his books! and all of them are signed to me because i went to some book signings of his a few years ago. i have literally laughed out loud with every single one of his books, and on a few ocassions, fallen out of a chair i was laughing so hard!
