I attached the font here. Put the old one in the trash. Download this one. How to install a font under Windows: Unzip the files you have downloaded. Details : Click on the "Download" button, save the zip somewhere on your hard disk, go to the place where it is saved, double-click on the zip to open it, then either click on "Extraxt all files" or drag and drop the files elsewhere from the zip window (hold down the CTRL key to select several files at once) For the 20th century versions of Windows you must install an unzip tool first. * Under Windows Vista : Select the font files (.ttf, .otf or .fon) then Right-click > Install * Under any version of Windows : Place the font files (.ttf, .otf or .fon) into the Fonts folder, usually C:WindowsFonts or C:WINNTFonts (can be reached as well by the Start Menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Fonts). Note that with the internal unzip tool of Windows (unlike Winzip), you cannot install a font by a simple drag and drop of the .ttf from the zip window to the Fonts window. You must first drag and drop it anywhere (for example on the desktop) then in the Fonts folder. You can also go through : File > Install a new font... in the Fonts folder menu then browse the fonts, instead of drag and drop the fonts into the window. Although this method is laborious, it would seem that it functions better in certain cases. Tip : if you punctually need a font, you don't need to install it. Just double-click on the .ttf file, and while the preview window is opened you can use it in most of the programs you'll launch (apart from a few exceptions like OpenOffice).

Help needed on finding "scholarly" research articles for a paper...
Maura replied to JaimeLynne's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
jaime have you tried lexis-nexis? also, try using the search term "emotional eating research" -
martha i think i posted this before on an older thread jessica actually started, but my best friend has an adopted sister who is now about 14 and she has a myspace page. there were wildly inappropriate and provocative photos of herself that she took and posted on her page, and its just ASKING for a pedophile to come after her. my friend has talked to her mom about it so many times, but her mom is one of those moms that would rather be their kids' friend than a parent. it's really sad actually. my friend gets so frustrated that she cant do anything about it.
-
oh martha i know what you mean - my 13 yr old nephew got a myspace page and my brother allowed him to. i only accepted his friend request but put him on a limited view of my profile so he cant see much about me, but i can still see all of his stuff. ive called my bro several times because i saw inappropriate stuff on his son's page. he never does anything about it because he says he can't - he is divorced and the mother allows the kid to do it. maybe i should just report the page so i dont have to worry about it anymore.

What do you do if you want to have a snack in between a meal? For instance sometimes mid morning or mid afternoon I might have a granola bar or an apple or something, if I'm hungry. I guess what I'm asking is does the alli plan say anything about only having just 3 meals a day or does it not really matter? I'm so glad that its working for you because I really want to try it and 15 grams of fat per meal is quite a bit, I know when I'm watching what I eat I always check nutrition facts and if it has more than a few fat grams it goes back, so I don't think the 15 grams will be bad at all. thanks jill, great question! i do snack between meals. but here's my trick. i only have raw fruits or veggies, NO DIPS! there's no fat and few calories, and i drink water with it too. the water combined with the small snack fills me up if i get hungry in between. but honestly, i dont get that hungry in between meals except for the lunch to dinner stretch. all this week, ive taken either 2 cups of watermelon or a whole peach and cut up the peach and eat it around 3-4 pm. then im ok until i eat dinner around 8 or 9 depending when i get home. for your metabolism, then best thing you can do is snack small between meals. but they have to be moderate in size and healthy stuff if you want it to work. one of the things i really like about alli is that the starter pack comes with several little booklets that have info in them about how to best get results. my favorite little booklet is the one that has fast food restaurants in it that has a green little dot next to the things that are safe for you to eat while still taking an alli pill for the meal. for example, the other day, i got home so late that we went to wendy's to grab some quick dinner. instead of getting a hamburger & fries, i got a small chili and a baked potato. the salads are great too - but you have to be sure to ask for the low fat dressing. when i get a salad at wendy's i only use half the packet of low fat dressing. that way i save a lot of fat grams AND calories one great thing i am noticing too is that i have a serious sweet tooth, i am always craving something sweet or chocolate. all this week i really havent had any cravings for that stuff!

thanks yari & glenda -- and thanks for the carrot G! hopefully in the next 3 weeks i can lose 10 more pounds! i think once i add in exercise that should be pretty easy. my first fitting for my big dress is july 19th so i have one month to get skinny! my biggest fear is having to have the seamstress let the waist out instead of taking it in LOL

barrie, where are you? tell us the last min details before you leave! i dont remember reading who your vendors were or any of your choices for the ceremony setup and stuff.

steph, amazing review! i have to come back with questions later when i have some more time. my boss keeps coming over to my desk and i want to write out a thoughtful response. two quick things though: 1) are you glad you used the bamboo to cordon off the ceremony site? 2) i dont remember seeing the flower petals for the aisle on your BOE - how much were they? they looked absolutely gorgeous! -
it ONLY causes leakage if you exceed the fat intake in one meal.

I wonder what would happen if I start Alli and the Sacred Heart Diet.... might be too hot for my own good! LOL i have not worked out one single day this week. I have been too busy and working late so by the time i get home to eat dinner its like 8:30 or 9. i have been too tired to go work out. i have just been religiously watching the fat grams per meal, which honestly is not that hard at all. here's what my typical breakfasts are (i alternate every other day): Day 1 - 1 cup stoneyfield lowfat vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1 large sliced strawberry, and 1/4 cup bear naked high protein granola. TOTAL FAT: 9 grams Day 2 - 16 oz (same as 2 cups) of 1% lowfat lactaid milk, mixed with 1 scoop of isopure no carb protein powder, chocolate flavor. TOTAL FAT: 5.5 grams on weekend days, i just eat the yogurt meal both days and also add coffee with 1/2 cup of fat free milk, NO SUGAR. for lunch, i eat a variety of things, but here are the two things i eat most often: meal 1 - either a salad of mixed greens with 1 large sliced strawberry, 1 tbsp herbed goat cheese, and ocassionally 1/2 of a sliced grilled chicken breast. for dressing, i bought the low to no fat spray dressing where its 10 sprays = 10 calories or something like that and 10 sprays is more than enough. TOTAL FAT: about 5-8 grams (depending on whether i use chicken or how much goat cheese) meal 2 - any subway sandwich off the 6 grams of fat or less menu. as a rule of thumb: i only put lettuce, cucumbers (sometimes tomatoes too but not recently with the salmonella scare), black olives, provolone cheese, and vinegar for the dressing. my two picks for sandwiches are the subway club or the turkey & ham. the vinegar dressing has no fat, so remember if you get oil & vinegar that is going to add several grams of fat. the vinegar alone is preferable and personally i like the taste of the vinegar alone anyway. TOTAL FAT: 6-9 grams depending on the toppings, i do not get cheese every time. i often add in either a small bag of baked BBQ lays (3.5 g fat) or similar substitute. nothing more than 4 g fat though. dinner - we often grill chicken or pork seasoned only with a little sea salt and cracked pepper. here's a secret so that your meat doesnt stick to the grill - put the meat in a ziploc baggie with 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil to coat the chicken. rub it around with the salt & pepper in the bag and then take it out and lightly pat dry with a paper towel and then stick it on the grill. the olive oil will cook off on the grill and your meat will be moist! we do the same thing with veggies like zucchini. we also like broccoli grilled - just use a pastry brush to brush olive oil over the head of the florets & sprinkle w/ salt & pepper (its important if you grill broccoli to not chop it up first - you want to cook the whole head at once and chop up after its done) other key tips: --i dont drink soda. i try to ONLY drink water. an ocassional glass of wine (only one!) is ok and doesnt disturb the balance of calories. --when i know i am going to eat something thats more than 15 grams of fat in one meal, i just dont take alli. its just not worth the hassle of fearing that im going to poop myself. but i have had zero treatment effects thus far. i only have skipped alli for one meal in one week - i had pizza for dinner last night and so i didnt take it. feel free to ask questions! i will add exercise into my routine starting this weekend because my work schedule is clearing up so ill have more time. **I WANT TO ADD THIS** YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO BE AFRAID OF THE 15 GRAMS OF FAT PER MEAL. UNLESS YOU EAT LIKE A COW AT EVERY MEAL, YOU HAVE NO REASON TO WORRY. also - i would NOT recommend doing this with the sacred heart diet. the reason why is that you are not consuming enough fat for the alli to be effective. you need to be consuming some fat per meal in order for the alli to work!

So ladies, I am finally starting a search for a tube top dress for the day of (well....both my "day-of"s since I get 2, one in July and one in August!). I want something stretchy and comfy that I could wear so I don't have to pull anything over my head so I don't mess up my hair or makeup. Can ya help me out and post some ideas? I've been to a couple stores (Gap, Nordstrom, Banana Republic) lately and just haven't seen anything really fitting that description. (Nothing whore-short either - that's all I could find at Nordstrom!) Something that hits just above the knee or just at the knee would be perfect. I don't want to spend a ton either. Got any ideas?

everything looks great erica, and jorge looks so cute modeling his suit (even with no shirt haha)
