  1. My last Lucky magazine listed Minimus - For All Your Travel Size Item Needs as a great site for buying all sorts of products in little & individual sizes - anything from tuna to sunscreen!
  2. You are soooo not alone. Thank goodness for bdw! I have the same fears that this will happen! As plane tickets become available, I'm trying not to be a bridezilla about nagging people about booking! Looking on the bright side, those who will be there will have a great time. It'll be intimate and wonderful. Sharing the day with more friends & family may be nice, but it's good not to have anyone resent you for the cost, timing, etc. I've tried to keep the perspective that while there are some people, I REALLY want to come, I also want them to come for themselves, not just the wedding. And you are totally RiGHT, this is not for everyone else. It's for you and your FI. They are tons of fun wedding things to focus on aside from your guest list! This will be a happy event!! sidebar: My FI was disappointed that his aunt & uncle wouldn't be able to come to ours because of health issues. To still share our wedding with them, we're going to head to LA to have them at our legal/city hall ceremony and a small celebratory dinner. Just an idea for a way to celebrate with those closest to you who can't make it.
  3. Definitely try the Casablanca dress on! Otherwise, you'll always think of it. If it's as great as you think it might be, then you'll be happier even if you have to deal with selling the first dress. I already have my dress too - first dress at the first store - so I might have this issue down the road too! I'm trying to be like Amy though and not look at dresses anymore. It's hard not to though!
  4. Sarah, it sounds like you feel good about your dress again, but I just wanted to say I love your dress! The details on it are amazing and it's not a dress that a lot of people can pull off. You look great in it though! Who's the designer??

Welcome! This forum has been invaluable to me. Hope you enjoy your time (which will be a lot!) on here!
  6. awesome idea! i always have to curl my lashes though. my lashes are straight, so it would be strange to mix the fake with my straight lashes. do you think the fake lashes would withstand curling?? i googled eye lash extensions and i think it might be cheaper to fly to canada to have them done! they sound so great though!
  7. Your pictures conveyed such genuine emotions of happiness and love. They are so wonderful. You, your husband, and your guests look like you all had a FUN time! Everyone look greats in the pictures too, especially you!
  8. I voted for # 3. Love it!! It's beautiful and looks very professional! It is also pretty distinct from the other choices with the borders. I also agree that it'd work as wonderfully as a logo on a number of things!!
  9. For those choosing between white gold and other metals, remember to consider maintenance and cleaning. Apparently cleaning white gold requires special care. Cleaning Precious Metals | Clean White Gold Jewelry "One of the most frequently asked questions is how to clean white gold. When white gold is sold, it is always rhodium plated. Rhodium is a hard, durable, silvery-white metal that can be polished to a high shine. This gives white gold, which is actually a very pale yellow, a very white look in the showcase and on your finger. This white look will last varying amounts of time depending on wear and tear. On earrings it can last a lifetime. On rings the rhodium will start wearing off where there is a lot of friction. This usually starts by the shank (the part of the ring that goes around the finger) starting to “turn yellowâ€. This is the rhodium wearing off. As you continue to wear the ring, all the exposed edges and corners will start “yellowing†as well. The easiest and least expensive solution to this problem is to bring it to your local jeweler or into DiamondIdeals to have the ring re-rhodiumed. The cost for this is minimal. This is a temporary solution and will have to be repeated as this new layer wears off. A more permanent solution would be to consider remounting your stones in a platinum or palladium alloy ring." If anyone goes with white gold, you can ask/negotiate with your jeweler to include rhodium dippings for some number of years. Better to go with time than number of dippings to ensure a quality dipping. Who knew?!?
