Tammy, are you available to help me with my travel arrangements? Where would we start?
  3. LADIES....... Ok, so I love DC, & I think it's probably one of the most beautiful resorts in Cancun, however, I'm having second thoughts about marrying there for a few personal reasons. Can you girls please help me. I initially wanted to get married @ DT, but was very concerned w/ my guests enjoying themselves, so this is why I had chosen DC. However, I really want a DT wedding. I understand it is not as much of a "party-spot" as DC, but at least I'll have what I wanted. At this point I'm begging for advice. I want my guests to have fun, but I don't want to neglect my wishes either you know. Anyway, please...please...please help me decide . Sorry for the long list of questions but I really need to know anything there is to know about DT. Thanks girls *How are you girls going about entertainment for your guests? *What TA are you girls using? *Does their packages include a Mariachi band? *Does anyone know how close DT is to EDR? *What are the options for ceremony, and reception sites? *I would love to see pics, if you can find the time to share. *I heard DT is about two hours away from the airport, how are your guests getting from the airport to the resort? *What activities does Tulum offer? *Are any of you ladies honeymooning @ EDR?
  4. , Welcome to the forum! Happy Planning to you. Let us help
  5. WOW! thanks so much for this very detailed list of activities. Your the best.

YAAAAY, CONGRATS JILLY!!!!!!!! <JILLY'S GETTING MARRIED>
  7. Thanks hun, you don't know even if I have to hire a Marichi Band from an outside vendor, I must have a Traditional Mariachi Band @ my wedding. My Mariachis are from the Dreams Ultimate Package too. For us, they really will be the spotlight for the wedding. When are you having them perform? and, Are you doing fireworks?

I have gotten to the point where I had to go to the doctor because I am making myself sick. This is such an important time of my life, and I really just want to ensure that it will definitely be the wedding of my dreams. Don't worry, I'm on the same boat. If you haven't already. Look into the Dreams Chain of resorts. They are beautiful. I'm actually confirmed with Dreams Cancun, but second guessing myself too at times. I guess it really doesn't matter where you get married. At the end of it all, you'll be married, which is the important thing. Your wedding is what you make it. rain or shine, inclusive or all-inclusive, beach or gazebo, pink or blue..whatever really. I think if your optimistic about your choices, everyone in your wedding will be too. I know it's hard, but trust me stick with something & get moving. I think once you start seeing everything come together, you'll be delighted with your pick. Remember, Plan Happily.
  9. I was wondering, is anyone having the Mariachi Band play at their wedding? I am too, and I'm really concerned with how many members are in the band? My family is a mix of Mexican and Guatemalan heritage, and so the Mariachi Band is a VERY IMPORTANT element to the wedding. How do they dress for the event? I'm hoping they wear the typical attire, with the Sombreo (charro) and all. Do you girls know anything about this?

And I only have a few more days to try to get it straightened out! At least if it was in my bank account I could just tell her I'd bring it with me and pay her when I get there, but I don't even have it now... have I said how annoyed I am with her! We're using citlalli, but not doing a TTD, I think someone else asked if they do them and the answer was yes, but I can't remember who Thanks Jilly, Wow, I feel your frustration girl. Really, like for god sake your wedding is like days away. I agree, what's up with Claudia? Language barriers suck!. Anyway try to take it easy, everything will fall into place soon. BTW, Where are u guys having your HM? We're thinking of relocating to EDR for ours. Do you know if Citlalli would still offer her services over there too?
  11. Are any of you ladies booking Citlalli as your wedding photographer? If so, are any of you doing a Trash The Dress Session with her? I didn't see this in her price packages. I don't know if she does this.
  12. I've been wondering about this too. Does anyone know of a Photography studio that does Boudoir Photography in the New Jersey/New York Area? This would be a really nice gift to give my FI on the day of the wedding.

  14. Hi ladies, I'm actually up for the challenge of doing my own invitations. Can someone please guide me as to where to start. Where can I purchase all ready made pocketfolds? I really don't want to deal with all the measuring and cutting. Also, I would be extremely thankful to anyone on here who can share with me their invitation templates. By the way, I'm thinking of having guests RSVP through our wedding website, so do I still need to include an RSVP section in the invite?

Ceremonies are held in a beautiful gazebo, or if you choose to have it right on the beach, this is possible too. Receptions can be held I believe in either the beach, garden or terrace. You can customize your event (music, flowers, decor..etc) to your taste. I'm having children attend too, this is why I picked DC. Hope this helps.

I'm anticipating the last 4 months prior to the wedding to be the busiest since all the little stuff have to be done then. I'm also slowly collecting stuff for my OOT bags and have tasked one of my BM who works at J&J to purchase items for my OOT bags (this is actually a great help). I've also been looking for invitations, which we plan to send out in late January. How about you? How's it going so far? Good for you Rosean, it's best to start early. I'm actually in the very beginning stages right now. I'm hoping to get my STD's out by next week, and I'm going on a Bridal expo next week to check out some dresses. I'm kinda going back & forth with invitations. I've also started collecting stuff for my oot bags. I've been lucky with drugstore clearence sections. By the way, I read somewhere that you need to show receipts of everything you have in your luggages, (oot bags), when you go through customs in mexico. I'm wondering does this mean every single little thing?

What's the best way to contact them for the first time? Do they require a deposit right away? Thanks
  18. Congratulations Leigh! hope your wedding brings you and your loved ones lots of happiness and memories to treasure. I can't wait to be in your shoes soon too. I'm so excited for you Best Wishes!
  19. Thanks for the helpful tip jilly. OMG... your like days away :0! Congratulations to you and your soon to be hubby. You guys must be so excited, I'm so excited for you. I'll be looking forward to your beautiful pics.

If you need any help, there are a lot of ladies in this forum with lots of valuable info and insight! Good luck! Hello Dbell, Funny, July 19th, was my chosen date too when I was considering getting married in Jersey. Your right about the feel for the resort. I'm not certain yet on many things, but I knew Dreams was for us from the minute we discovered it. Well congrats to you too, Happy Planning!

Hi Rosean, I take it you did a site visit? If so, lucky you. I still have to decide on this one, but thanks for the heads up. Everyone seems so happy with the gazebo that maybe I think I'll go with that. Plus, your right I'll still get to take pics at the beach afterwards. What is your big day looking like so far? By the way, I just noticed we're just a few days apart..YAY!!!
  23. Hi ladies, just curious to know if anyone within the cancun area, planning a Bachelorette event while out there. The girls and I are a bit stuck with this. I was thinking vegas, but it wouldn't be fair to my girls. Maybe N.Y. too, since I'm so close. Strippers are really not my thing, but I want something fun and original. Someone also mentioned to me Jack & Jill parties, whatever that is?

I can imagine mailing them out must be costly due to the weighty paperstock. Maybe i'm wrong though. Anyway, I wish I gained the courage you have to do them myself. I'm so scared to give it a shot to only end up hating them and end up wasting more money getting already made ones later on..lol But seriously, I'm def. gonna look into the webites you mentioned. About the monogram, I'm so anxious to get one done already, one of the brides-2-b on here mentioned how it's best to first have one ready because it actually helps to bring everything together. But I haven't even decided on my wedding colors yet. I seem to be stuck on three right now, and I can't decide. Should this even matter? Maybe I could use them all three for the monogram, besides this would probobly make it stand out more right? Have you helped other brides in this forum create their monograms? If so, I'd love to see your work
