Hey everyone!! So I'm back I have saved the date now to April 5th, 2009. (Palm Sunday), I wonder if that will raise any eyebrows. But oh well. Anyway, I need some help, Especially from those of you who just got married or are very close to getting married at EDR. WHAT IS THEIR CURRENT PHOTOGRAPHER POLICY....now? Unfortunetly, their policy changes way to often for me to keep up . What other fees have you guys been told of, besides reserving a room for your photographer for X number of nights?? My wedding coordinator there is Valeria Martinez. Thanks so much

I would imagine that it's Lomas, but could be direct with the resort. As far as other travel arrangements (don't forget transfers from airport to resort,) you'll need to do them on your own or get someone to do them for you. If you need help with that PM me and I can hook you up with our TA who has been basically perfect! You will use Valeria to plan all of the on-resort events and the details of your wedding. She will help you book all of your amenities (spas, massage, honeymoon dinner, group dinner, etc...) She will also help organize the ceremony with regards to time, location, minister, etc... Hope that helps clear things up for you. Thanks for the offer, I just PM'd you By the way, we love your wedding slideshow!!!

Hello everyone, I thought it would be a great idea for us to share any thoughts or important info to one another regarding EDR . Any of the following would be really helpful to us all, to carry out through this thread {pics, airport info, souvenir shops, room expeirences, past or future wedding plans at the resort, helpful tips with anything relevant. I plan on doing a site visit myself early this summer, I'll be sure to fill you in with lots of useful info when I get back.

The number of people you are having may limit some of them though as will other cermonies planned for the same day! Thanks so much for that post. This is really going to help. Hopefully, they won't wash up by the time of the wedding. thanks again

Where are you ladies having your ceremony? and, Why did you choose that one? I just got a "PIC" e-mail from Valeria regarding the two options she mentions. ROYALE & the GAZITA 55. Can someone help compare the two. Where are these two located? And how many guests can each one hold? Any other info can certainly help us all on here. Thanks

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing great. It's been a while since I last logged on, due to my tragic and hectic past few months. I'm trying to stay positive & get back on track with everything for my wedding, which will have to be for sometime in 2009. Anyway, It's been so long that I even forgot who my CONTACT person is at EDR. My last connection with them was when I made my $100.00 deposit. Can someone please help me get back on track here.... The following would be extremely helpful: 1. Contact Name- 2. Contact #- 3. When is the best time to marry at EDR, Mexico (I might reconsider) Thanks so much!!!!

Awwww : ==) thanks so much for the encouragement ladies. I'm over the denil & tears, so I can open up now. The many reasons look like this: FI just lost his job two weeks ago, my brother who's in the army has to stay in Iraq until May or June, 09, doctor's just discovered a serious lump on my dad'd left hip. And to top it all off, my closest cousin just recently passed away. Things were going good, until about a week ago. This all has me & my family soooo.. .down at this time. I know my dream wedding will happen sooner or later. And like many of you said, "EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON". I'm looking into the spring or summer of 2009 for now. In the meantime, I'll try to learn from you girls as much as I can before my time comes around. Thanks so much. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL! GOD BLESS..

EDR Wedding Review... LONG... PICS!
Dreamgirl08 replied to kitesurf_bride's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
THANK YOU..THANK YOU..THANK YOU! Your review & pics have me so excited right now. I'm getting married @ EDR in July, and I was wondering, I plan on having about 15-20 people. DO you think the Casita Gazebo would be appropriate? I know it's not private at all, and it actually looks alittle tight. But, I fell in love with it since the first time I saw it. -
I'm actually in the process of making my suite and transfer reservations with Lomas, only because Fernanda has been sooo helpful and very responsive to all of my questions. So I trust her. But I plan getting my airfare online too. I guess I'll do my stuff with her and let others decide for what they want as well. Thanks for the tip

Which airline should I get in contact with? I was thinking asking guests to reserve suites & transfers with Lomas, and then having them book their flights through travelocity. But just today, I had a friend tell me, "What if I find a cheaper package through Travelocity". Meaning; Room, Transfers, and flight. What should I do?
