  1. I also just tried to e-mail her and it came back undeliverable.... I immediately logged on here and was glad to see I wasn't the only one!
  2. Beautiful Pics! Your photographer did a wonderful job and every thing just looked amazing, from flowers, to colors and of course the bride!
  3. I'm a little confused and nervous now. We are arriving on a Saturday and our wedding is Monday.... Maye, our WC, said it should be fine - that our blood test is set-up for Saturday as soon as we arrive at our hotel....
  4. What a great thread!! Thank you all for the websites and tips!!

  7. OK. I hope you all don't mind but I'm going to find my way to the site and join as well! I have 6 months until the wedding and at least 10 pounds to lose!
  8. Thank you both for response! Tammy - that is what I thought, I searched on the web and came up empty handed and figured that was the reason. Angela - I'm a completely bossy person and tend to want to do everything myself but I'm sure I'll be glad once all is said and done to have the peace of mind a bride should have on that special day!
  9. Good morning everyone! I was wondering if any of you have made arrangements yourself for bloodwork and a judge for a legal ceremony in Cabo? We are getting married at Casa del Mar and their wedding coordinator said she does not make those arrangements. We were going to hire an outside coordinator as well, but am having a hard time trying justify the cost of one since that is all we will need them to do. It will be a small wedding - 1 attendent each and about 20-25 guests. We just planned on doing our own flowers and small table decorations. I think we will be able to book our own dj and photographer. Chairs, chair covers, and table linens are all provided by Casa del Mar. Am I missing anything else that a wedding coordinator would provide?
  10. BEAUTIFUL! I also plan on having a gerbera daisy bouquet. Do you mind if I ask where are you getting them from?
  11. ooohhh....just saw this post for the first time today! I hope my pier 1 still has some left!!!!
  12. That cake topper is too funny! But my mother wouldn't approve either!
  13. Last time I was in Cabo (2003) we took a sunset/pirate/booze cruise! It was soo fun. All of the employees were dressed like pirates and some even acted the part. The boat was kid-friendly, large and seemed very safe. The captain had heard that there was a whale in the area while we were on the boat so he changed direction (as did every other boat out at the time) and we caught a glipse of a whale - talk about great timing! I'm hoping they have it when we go in July for our wedding!
  14. Congratulations and Welcome! Sorry I can't help with hotel information, but I'm sure it is beautiful there!
  15. Wow! You hit the nail on the head Tammy! I just went through her e-mails and it is in fact YTB. Thanks for the warning. I think I will just thank her for her effort and start from scratch.
  16. I just want to post that I am sooo confused and frustrated right now.... My wedding will be in Cabo in July of 2008. We are getting married at Casa del Mar, but we are not staying there.....as a matter of fact, I have no idea where we are staying at now! First off, I have a timeshare at Cabo Villas, my sister and mother both have timeshares at Villa del Palmar, (actually my sister has 2 rooms there), and my future MIL has a timeshare at Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. So, I wanted to stay at Villa del Palmar so I can be with my mom and sister, so they can help me out with the wedding stuff and my son! So a friend referred me to her friend who is starting out a new "travel agent" biz. At our first meeting it sounded all good, she was looking in to all of the Villa Group resorts in Cabo - we needed 10 rooms and preferred all-inclusive. Now she says the Villa Group won't work with her on all-inclusive and now the first price she gave us for airfare is no longer available and is now much higher. I really want to work out a group deal for my guests, and I really hoped we could all stay in the same hotel, but now I'm thinking we may just book our timeshare and hope it all works out..... Any ideas, suggestions, comments..... Any other nearby hotel to Villa del Palmar? Thanks....Christa
  17. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your bridesmaid dresses! Good luck with the groomsmen shirt search. Maybe order one of each to see which color looks better in real life...
  18. Thank you so much for the information. I'm quite please to see the prices for these recommendations! We are getting sooo close to our budget already, I was putting off looking for a dj, but you just made it easy!
  19. Oh my goodness! You look beautiful in all of them. My vote is actually for the last one. It is my personal favorite. I just searched online and found out that it is a Adele Wechsler dress (as is the one with the flowers on the bottom). Gorgeous, but way out of my price range.....
  20. Thank you all for your responses! So background story here: We, as well as several of our guests, have timeshares in downtown Cabo, but we want to be married on the corridor. So we first had to find a resort on the corridor that would let us get married there without charging us a fortune for not staying there. To help off-set the cost of this, we decided we would get married on a Monday or Tuesday. Our second issue was that we are having about 5-10 children attend the wedding so we wanted a place that would give us a "children's menu" option. And our last issue was that FI really wanted the reception area to be private - away from hotel guests, vendors, etc. So after reading on this forum, looking at EVERYONE'S pictures, searching hotel websites, etc. we agreed on Casa del Mar for both the ceremony and reception. However, we are trying to stick to a budget for this wedding because we both have kids and are paying for this wedding ourselves, so we are cutting costs and negotiating every place we can. I'm not sure what the original costs are for Casa del Mar, but in the contract it strictly states there is a $5000 non-refundable deposit due to hold the location and date. Well because of the weekday wedding and other factors, we are keeping our total costs to Casa del Mar just at about $5000, so the WC there she cannot change the amount of the deposit due so that is why we are having to pay for the total wedding up front...... So sorry about the long story.
  21. Welcome Celina! I noticed you are from Denver. So am I! (Lakewood actually but close enough!) Happy Planning!
