OMG! I have had the worst two days trying to secure my room block with the CasaMagna Marriott it is unreal! I was told that they have 35 rooms reserved for me and that the contract would be emailed last week. When I didn't get a contract, I called and I was told that a larger party is coming and they had to release my rooms! WHAT!?! I just spoke with the director of events and she offered me 10 rooms and that was it. She said they were sold out, how in the world could they be sold out? I am so angry right now, I probably don't make any sense. I totally thought I had this part all done and now I have to start from square one. Ugh!!!

As of right now it is a 50/50 spilt. I think it might end up being more friends than family.

I believe it can vary between resorts. Also, some resorts add a "resort fee" which ups the percentage.

We are expecting 85 guests and our total is right under $15K. I have not added anything else to the budget...yikes I better get on that.
