  1. wait until you start reading about STD's (save the dates) my FI about died when he saw that file on my computer
  2. I've gotten my bridesmaids jewelry to match their dresses and we bought them their dresses but I wanted to get them one more thing. Here are my two options... 1. A tiffany blue leather luggage tag (because who doesn't love tiffany's) 2. or I was going to get everyone something different that is unique to them (ie, a monogrammed bracelet for one, a running watch for one, a designer pair of sunglasses for one, etc) This was initially my favorite idea, but now I'm a little worried about getting them different things because I don't want anyone to feel jaded if they like someone else's gift more and I'm imagining how fun it would be to give them a gift from tiffany's, but that's not very personal please help me make up my mind
  3. Parent's gift - check Bridesmaids gift - check Groomsmen gift - check ring bearer gift - ccccrrraaapppp! What are you getting your wedding party little people? We're having two ring bearers (2 & 5) and I'm at a loss. Do you just get them a toy? They are brothers, so I don't want the gift to be too large or their parents will kill me trying to pack going home. If it was up to my FI we'd get them a shotgun ("something every man needs") but unfortunately (or luckily) we can't get that through customs Help please
  4. Sorry, can't help you with this website. We ordered lots of stuff from minimus.biz and they had comparable prices with dollaritem.com, but they had free shipping
  5. How much did everyone pay for their bd session? I really want to make my FI an album using mypublisher so I will need my pictures in digital form. I e-mailed the studios I was thinking of using and this is what they told me... Our session fee for any adult session (including our Boudoir sessions) is $30. An "adult" is anyone over the age of 12. Included for this price are the following services: Professional makeup and hairstyling A photo session with approximately 25 edited poses and 3 outfit changes Viewing of the images immediately after your session Although most of our clients choose to purchase some kind of collection of prints for a Boudoir session, we do have 2 types of digital formats available. The first type of digital format would be the low-resolution cd. This would contain all of the images from your photo session for $100. This price does not include any retouching. Retouching could be added for a fee of $50 per image...and could be performed on only the images that you select to have retouched. (If you purchased some other type of collection, you could add the cd at a discount...and any images you already had retouched would be retouched on the cd at no additional cost.) The second type of digital format would be the high-resolution cd. This is something that is usually purchased by our business clients. It is basically like buying our "negative". The cost for this cd is $175 per image. It includes digital retouching. You can make your own prints from this cd. $175 per image?!!! that would be a really expensive photo album! or do you think I could get away with the low resolution cd? and the second studio... There are a variety of option for creating an album with your photos. From a typical session you'll have 30-40 images to choose from. I do offer some folio and album options for the photos. If you're looking to just do the album yourself, I do make the high resolution images available for $25 each, or a complete set of them for $400, which is around what most clients spend on reprints and album after the session. Wow, I cannot afford that!
  6. I'm no expert either, but I'm pretty sure you can't modify a pdf. I think that's the whole point of converting something into a pdf...it can't be changed or reformatted. I have heard of programs that can convert text in pdfs into word but I'm not sure what it's called and I bet they're pretty pricey. What kind of template are you looking for? Maybe someone has it in editable form.
  7. So I'm making bookmarks with english to spanish phrases for my oot bags and i got the translation from google translator, but could someone who actually speaks spanish please double check for me that the translation is correct. I'd hate to have my guests try and use the phrases and have them end up saying "my monkey eats cheese" or something ridiculous like that. TIA What time is it? Cuál es el tiempo? 8. anybody know of a doobie brothers song that would work for a mother son dance? FI's parents love the doobie brothers, so i think they'd get a kick out of that, but most of their songs are pretty fast so I'm not sure if it'll work. Thanks in advance!

  10. I'm going to set out plain white business cards and pine point black markers and have a sign that says... In leu of a guest book, here's something new take one of the cards provided for you sign your name and your blessings or wishes of a long and happy marriage for the new mr. and mrs. and then i'm going to scan everyone's card and when i make my photo album i'm going to insert their signature by their picture But, here's my question... Do I have this set up at the ceremony site or reception site?
  11. So i was thinking of maybe making my own cheapo table runners just to add a little color to the reception tables. Does anyone know what size their rounds are? Are they a 10 top or 8 top?
  12. We're doing the same thing with casual attire. I let my dad and my FI's dad pick out their clothes as long as it was khaki pants and a white button down. I got linen drawstring pants for my FI and groomsmen and my FI is wearing this shirt Macy*s - Men's - INC International Concepts® Aves Embroidered Woven Shirt and the groomsmen are wearing this shirt Women's & Men's Clothes: Plus Size, Maternity, Baby & Kid's Clothing | Old Navy My FI wanted to stand out and he said his shirt was, and I quote "Fierce"...that's what I get for making him watch Project Runway

Thanks, I didn't even think of this.
  15. I'm having two ring bearers (FI's nephews). One is two and the other is five and their mom told me they wear a 2T and 5T. Well, that has made finding matching clothes challenging because one is in the baby section and the other is a toddler. I've found a shirt at Gap kids that i love and the extra small translates into a 5T and baby Gap doesn't carry that shirt. So if anyone has seen a shirt like this in smaller sizes, I'd be totally appreciative. It' got super cute floral embroidery down the front. I'm tempted to buy another xs and take it to a tailor but I think that might be going overboard. Also, the groomsmen are wearing linen drawstring pants and I'd love for the ring bearers to wear linen drawstring pants to match. I found these online but they're about $40 per pair. Anyone seen anything cheaper? And finally Old Navy had these adorable flip flops in toddler sizes but now I need something the matches in baby sizes (6 in shoes). Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  16. Carly I luuuuuuuvvvvvv those jewelry travel bags you got for your bridesmaids! I'm dying to know where you got those...my girls would love them!
  17. We set up a dot photo account Digital Photography-Upload, Print, Share, and Organize Your Digital Photos with dotPhoto.com it's free. You can upload all of the pics on the trip or give your guests your login and pw and they can upload them once they get home. The thing I love about this site is that you can save all of the photos in high res from the site. So you can just e-mail the link to all of your family and they can download their own favorites (it's also free) and save them to their computer or order prints, etc.

  19. so my FI wants to do a half day deep sea fishing trip with his groomsmen and our dads the day of the wedding. hmmmmm I'm trying to be supportive and I know that would be soooo much fun for him. the wedding isn't until 4pm and it's not a huge resort. So i really don't even want him around b/c I'm afraid we'll run into each other. when he first mentioned the trip i thought it was a great idea. it's from 8-noon which gives him plenty of time to get back, sober up a little bit, and get ready. That was until i mentioned it to his sister who totally rained on my parade. she said what if all of the guys get sea sick (i said they'll take dramamine). she said what if they get a sunburn or a stupid sunglasses tan (spf, hello?) so now i'm not sure if i want him doing it or not. he said if it's going to freak me out he can just go play golf or something but i know he'd much rather fish. would anyone else have a problem with this?
  20. I was just going over my list of the documentation we need to get married in Mexico and I think I know the answer to this but I just wanted to double check with you guys... "What are the requirements to get a marriage license in Mexico? Valid passport Tourist Cards (blue sheets that you receive at the airport) Apostille certified birth certificates for Bride & Groom If applicable, final Record of Divorce If applicable, Death Certificate Health certificate and blood test provided by a Mexican Official* Bride & Groom must arrive four business days prior to the ceremony! (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays do not count). " So here's my question...what is an Apostille certified birth certificate? I have a copy of my birth certificate...do I need to get it notarized or something?
