  1. The website says turquoise and hot pink are out of stock until April 2008!
  2. to the forum!! I'm glad to see more SGOR brides around!! Let me know how I can help!

  4. Ok, Here are some of the wedding sites for Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. I'm sorry I'm so late posting these! Hope they are helpful. Pier Area Gazebo (this one isn't for a large wedding party though) Gazebo overlooking the water Garden Area Close up of Garden Area Gazebo
  5. Why not go to a card store (Hallmark) and get some inspiration? Spending a half hour in a card store always does it for me!
  6. Wow Leigh!! Just the title of this thread alone was enough to inspire me to join! I hope I'm as successful as you've been!
  7. Is it possible for you to pay for a cousin or close family friend to come expressly so that they can take your daughter back to Maryland. My FI has a disabled daughter, and when we were considering bringing her, we decided that if she went, we would pay for her babysitter to come to the wedding to be with her, and be responsible for getting her back to the states. It had to be someone familiar with her and who she felt comfortable with. (In the end, we decided to leave her in Maryland and celebrate with her later.) It's an idea though!
  8. Well, I decided against a beach wedding (mainly since SGOR doesn't really have a big one anyway.) I'm doing the tropical garden ceremony. I'm trying to decide between two locations, but both have gazebos. I was going to just decorate them with strings of orchids (and maybe the capiz shells.) The arch decor prices are outrageous! I didn't know that NO arch is offered for free though!! One thing you can consider is using a couple of standing flower arrangementment instead of the arch. Those may be less expensive than the arch. I'll post an example...Ok, the Photobucket site is down for maintenance, so I will upload pics once it comes back up!
  9. Carly, these are the same florals and prices offered at Sandals. Crazy, huh?! As for the chairs--ick! They told me that they didn't have pictures of the plastic chairs they use for outdoor weddings, but told me that they also sometimes used chairs from one of the restaurants. I'll see if I can upload a picture. Maybe they have the same type of chair at one of the Beaches restaurants and you can use those as well.
  10. I have pictures of the wedding sites as well. I will try to upload them a little later today. I think there may be more sites than the ones I have been given, but we'll definitely see once we get there. I plan to upload these in the Sandals thread, so look for them there!
  11. That's such a beautiful song! I break down everytime I hear it! I've been considering walking to it too, but I'm afraid I would a sobbing mess by the time I reached the gazebo!
  12. I think this is a great idea! I was already considering doing long strands of orchids or some other type of flower and hanging them on the gazebo instead of using tulle. I think intermingling the flowers and shells would be pretty! I can just see them blowing in the breeze now!
  13. Yeah, I really hope that all of these obvious aggressive signs begin to make an impression on her and help her make the best decisions regarding this relationship. She's really lucky to have you and your sisters to look out for her in this situation. Stay strong! It really seems like this is starting to sort itself out!
  14. And here is a pic of the free wedding cake offered by Sandals sent to me by my WC. I am also posting the flower catalog and coordinating price list! Attachment 1496 Attachment 1497 FLORAL UPGRADE CATALOG 2007.pdf FLORAL CATALOG QUOTES.xls

I don't want to pay that high of a price for their bouquets either! I think I'm going to get silk bouquets and bring them there. That way i'll get to keep them and they'll last forever! Thanks Ok, finally getting around to posting those promised pics. These are a few that the WC sent me to give me an example of the resort photography. (They are from the SGOR resort.) They actually look very nice...
  16. Wow, Catherine looked gorgeous. I love her vintage look. I def. want to do the birdcage without the cap though!

  18. I wasn't originally going to do a veil, but I think I want one now. I've been seeing beautiful birdcage veils (without the crazy looking caps!) that I think would work great with my dress. I would wear it with flowers in my hair. Here's a couple of pictures.

When I wrote my WC to tell her that I was considering moving my reception offsite because of the crazy prices she was quoting me for the simplest things, and she tried to deter me by saying, "I wouldn't suggest offsite for a restaurant, trust me! I go to Jamaica all the time. PLEASE do not travel without a tour guide!! The taxi fairs are pretty costly as well & they can smell a tourist from the airport." I'm still trying to figure out how to get her told on that one! LOL!!

  21. It would seem to me that one of the ladies who you've forwarded your template to on this forum can send you a copy of the file. Check your sent files too! You may have an uncorrupted version there! Good luck!
