  4. Sorry, I'm not going to be much help. Even though I've been to Negril, but not for a wedding. Anyhow, I think Toni (phillygal(i think)) is seeking a similar location in Negril for a private reception. Maybe you guys can get together and share what you find. Also, maybe TA Jennifer can chime in as she recently visited Negril and would be waaaay more help than what I can offer. lol
  5. Wow, everything looks gorgeous! Especially your dress. I love the reception setup as well. Thanks so much for sharing!
  6. Disregard my statement about the Riu in MoBay. I just read it may be opening in Winter 2008. So it may not be open in time for your date!
  7. to the forum Toni! There are quite a few girls on the form that planned or is planning their wedding in the 'non-convential' way. So don't be down on yourself about that, bc there's nothing wrong with doing things a little different. Hey, even having a DW is considered 'non-convential' to most people. lol I'm not sure what your budget is, but something you might consider, transferring your guests back and forth a few times may add up. If you really like the Riu chain, I think there is a new one opening up in MoBay in the late summer of 2008. Anyhow, we have plenty of Jamaica brides (mostly Riu Ocho Rios) on the forum, I'm sure they will be willing to chime in. FYI: You will be addicted to this forum! (dont say I didnt warn you, lol) You'll love it here! Congrats & Happy Planning

  12. Wooohoooo!!! Congrats Heidi! What a way to start the new year off right! I defitenly understand your concerns about making a lateral move. Sometimes, you just have to take chances and hope for the best. I did a similar job move (went to a waay smaller company from a fortune 500) and I can say this is one of the best things that has happened to me (even though my benefits suck!) in the past year and 1/2 and I'm glad I took a risk and went out on a limb. But this new company must have seen something they LOVED in you to make space just for you. I mean who wouldnt want to work with you :~) When do you start? Would you be doing the same thing? I am so happy for you! Congrats again sweetie.

Its holiday time (sad to say its increased break-in times) and you don't want anyone being responsible for something so important, especially seeing your wedding is a couple of months away. Also, if anyone is like me, months later I often forget where I've placed certain things! lol
  16. to the forum! Yaaay another down south bride! lol Congrats & Happy Planning
