Help Me Decide- Sand Ceremony

i like the shape of the bigger one better. where is it going to go in your house? maybe figure that out, and see which would fit better. -

Wish me luck! i'm already a ww member, but reached a plateau and needed a boost. i'm gonna weigh myself in a little bit, but i just had my stir fry (i did use low sodium soy sauce and chili oil, but am drinking extra water) and my baked potato w/ butter, so i'm thinking that i'm not going to lose anything.....

What is your favorite brand of Hot Sauce?

oh jane green is also good for mindless chick lit. most of her stories take place in england, but having lived there, it was easy enough to catch on and know where she was talking about. i'm not sure if it would take away from the story if you haven't visited london.

BTW - can we use soy sauce? chili oil? are condiments on the list of no-nos?

OMG…I only had my resume exposed for one week and I am so not prepared for things to go this fast!!! Tomorrow morning is at a realty company’s corporate office for an Exec-Assist position and Friday is a phone interview for a Senior Admin-Assist position at a Financial/Retirement company which just happens to be in the 80’s of the Fortune 500 list lolol!!! I feel so blessed for even getting call backs, but I’m incredibly nervous that my first two interviews are with huge players like this!!! I feel like I’m going to die from excitement!!! I dont even know what excuse im going to give to miss work for a few hours tommorow (at least Friday will be on my lunch break - of which i never take so somethings going to look suspect lmao lmao) Wish me much luck that I don’t stammer or stutter or even freeze this week…I don’t even remember what an interview is like lololol! if i were in your shoes, i would flat out tell him that i'm interviewing. don't specifically say that you have an interview on such and such day at whatever time, but at least put the bug in his head so it's not such a shock when you give your two weeks. also, tell him that if he advertises for someone new, you'll help train the newbie. i'm sure you already know this, but after each interview, send a thank you card. handwritten is nice, but an email is ok too. just a reminder, as my sil recently went on interviews and never sent thank yous...and subsequently, wasn't offered any jobs - whether there's a direct correlation, idk, but not worth finding out the hard way! good luck!

What is the biggest source of conflict in your relationship?
1elephant replied to Alyssa's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
i voted for we fight about everything. it's true, we do, but it's how we discuss - thru argument. the biggest thing is his time management. to him, 1 minute is 10 minutes, and 1 hour is often tomorrow. we're ALWAYS late b/c of him - his parents are the same way, but they are both late (mil blames fil, but it's both of them). dh just started a new job last week. it requires him to be in nyc at 7:45 am and leave around 6pm, w/ a 1hr train ride each way. so he's getting up at 5:00, when he used to wake up at 9, and getting home around the same time - 7:30 or so. so when he comes home, he's exhausted, and doesn't feel like doing anything - can't even have a conversation b/c he's so beat. so that's been a bit of a struggle, and combined w/ time management problems, he's a mess (not like i'm a prize, but hey, he's not on this forum b*tching about me...). -

i think that if it ever happened to me post-pee, i'd leave it. i'd never be able to hold it next to my ear again, so why bother fishing it out?

Need advice B4 I do something stupid
1elephant replied to nikkianddean's topic in Just venting or funnies
i have no advice, but my best friend has been my best friend since we were 6. my parents were invited to her wedding. the only reason her parents were not invited to mine is b/c her parents are divorced (not a happy one), and when i asked if i should invite them, she told me to do what i wanted, but that neither would prob come. so i invited neither. long story long, we actually had a conversation about it. i think it would have come as quite a shock if i just didn't invite them..... EDIT: it's a good thing that you're meeing on wednesday - it'll give you time to compile your thoughts and decide whether or not you want to be a bm for her, and if you want her to be a moh for you! -
the time traveler's wife is being made into a movie. it'll be out this christmas. funny, b/c about 3 yrs ago, when i read it, i said it would make a fantastic movie if done well. i saw gwenyth in it, but they went w/ rachel mcadams. i read a few jodi picoult, but i feel like they are all the same. best picoult was 'my sister's keeper'. same thing w/ anita shreve - read one if you want to read a good book, read more than one if you want to read the same thing all over again. best anita shreve - a wedding in december. i read eat, pray, love...i think you either love it or hate it. i loved the part about italy, but was bored throughout the rest. i'm a huge fan of anything augusten burroughs (running w/ scissors, esp - movie was terrible, but book was great), david sedaris (naked - laughed so hard i fell out of my chair), chuck palaniuk and douglas coupland, if you have a sick sense of humor. i also loved the book 'water for elephants' by sara gruen. currently i'm reading 'when you are engulfed in flames' by david sedaris. oh, and if you are really sick like me, read 'a dirty job' and/or 'lamb' by christopher moore. in lamb, you find out why jews eat chinese food on christmas, lol.
