At first I was thinking a $200 gift card to coach or D&B so they could pick out their own purses or even to Victoria Secret but the more I thought about it, a gift card is not personal enough. I thought about getting them a necklace from Tiffany's but my matron of honor did that for us at her wedding so I can't really do that either. I'd feel like I was copying... Does anyone have any other ideas of good jewelry brand names(like tifanys) that I could get something at or even have any other very good ideas for gifts? Thanks.... Lisa If you are going to spend the day getting ready together, i love the idea of plush spa robes, personalized with their names. everyone loves a really nice robe and they will use them all the time and think of what a great day you shared. you can get really nice ones online at bloomingdales for about $100 to $125 per robe and then spend a little extra other goodies!

  6. AMazing! tammy - you look gorgeous! one of the things i love the most is that you can really feel the intimacy and happiness between the two of you - the photos capture that beautifully!
  7. Has anyone gotten married or is in the process of planning a wedding here?

Then when they ask, just tell them the correct date, but hopefully you will have already received some information. thanks tammy! i have told them the dates and all that - i am just really frustrated. there are so many pieces that can not fall into place until you have a location (you know!! LOL)
  11. Ladies, i need some help - i am really frustated with the process of finding the perfect location and then getting them to respond to us with quotes and information without it taking 4 months! i am starting to feel like i am either: a. the most impatient person ever b. crazy c. have expectations that are too high (like a phone call back after a message a week ago?) WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE?
  12. enjoy every minute!! Congrats - can't wait to see photos!
  13. Congrats!! i can't wait to see those pics - it says i need a password?

Ya know, the friends that you go down the shore with in the summer, but don't hear from all winter. They are still my friends, but we don't see each other all the time. Anyway, we decided to have it at Matt's parents house cuz we could possibly add back people that we cut. I was wondering if anyone has done this type of party and what the cost was. We want it to be nice, but not formal. Matt is supposed to be finding this info out, which is why I don't know, and I am trying not to step on his toes and let him do it, but it's driving me crazy. Sorry, this post is kinda all over the place. that is so funny -"down the shore" - only the diehard PA/NJ people are going to get that ;-)
  15. very nice! you should start a side business also - i was at A.C. Moore the other day and i got an edge rounder for my boarding pass STD's they have a circle cutter (4 different sizes) that cut card stock - i think it was like $6?

OOhhhh - have you tried the Starbucks low fat turkey bacon breakfast sandwich? it is insane! BUT 330 calories, maybe 1x per week on the weekends
  18. I am going to start posting to this thread - as many motivators as possible! ok so i am about to walk out the door to do a run/walk interval over the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philly. It is a 5K and has a REALLY steep incline in both directions. i have been totally slacking and this should kick my ass!
  19. what do you all eat for breakfast? i am trying to keep my breakfast meal under 200 calories and it is a challenge! right now i am doing: 1 hard boiled egg (70 calories) 1 slice of Ezekiel Bread, toasted (90 calories) 1 tsp Earth Balance Buttery spread (approx 50 calories) this is deliciouos and filling but doesn't leave me room to have breakfast out or at work because it is too specific and has to be made at home.
  20. i love the dress - it looks beautiful on you and the pin is cool - now seeing all of that i am glad you went with the champagne starfish!
  21. i am sitting here in my office crying and thinking about how lucky and blessed you are to have each other. even though you both have faced some pretty big challenges, you seem to have only gotten stronger and more unified. i wish you the best in your marriage and family. thanks for sharing your story!
