I haven't put a ton of thought into this personally...but in the begining planning for me I thought maybe instead of the typical brial shower I could have like a couples one...but really more like a bbq vs a shower but that way guys could come too...but I haven't really decided. I think you should do what you feel most comfortable doing. I also agree that a party w/ 150 people would be alot for your bridesmaids. even a bridal shower with like 20 people costs alot for food an decor, etc.... I know I'm not much help...but go with your gut!

Mine will be pink and brown...pale pink probably and chocolate brown. I think most anything goes with brown and since you said you like the neutrals and your house is like that...then why don't you pick brown and then another color to go with it? Like pink, aqua, green, coral...almost anything will match well with brown?? Then it's a little bit of color but not completely Just an idea.

I am not sure if it's normal, but I'm pretty sure that I will be going through the same thing. I have had the worst trouble finding the dress that I like and with school finals I needed to stop for a while because I needed the weekends to study. Well I want to buy it before December is over...so it's do or die in the next couple weeks and I will just have to deal with it! I'm sure you picked the right one and you obviously liked it to some extent or you wouldn't have taken the plunge! My friend did the same thing for her wedding and I know alot of girls on here have bought multiple dresses. So I think it's common and no matter what, you will look beautiful in your dress and your fiance will think so too!

You are right...I know they don't expect anything in return....I thought some sort of surprise would be nice...I was going to send them a picture that someone will take at graduation...and frame it for them...just wanted a little something else too.... ya know! I am going to have to think more on the things in mexico...I really like that Idea....even if he can't benefit from that...it's a nice gesture for her! Which he will appreciate.

I like the idea of doing something while in Mexico...the only problem with that is because her husband is so ill (and so is she really) he can't make the trip so she is having her daughter come with her to Mexico. So he wouldn't be able to benefit from it...hmmm...I could do two things though...one in Mexico and another gift here...

You gals have such great ideas...so I thought I would pick your brains. My Grandmother's cousin and her husband (they are like 80 yrs old or so) are educated and very much into education. So way back when I first began college or maybe a year after or so (so like 8 yrs ago) they decided that since I was putting myself through college that they would send me $100 a month until I was done to help out!!! This was such a nice gesture considering I am not personally that close with them and I'm sure they didn't think that I would be in school for 9 years!!!!! I did however offer a few times for them to stop sending and they insisted! So now, 9 years later and about $9,000 (OMG I have never added it up!)...I am finally graduating!!!! I owe them so much and I want to send them a gift...although they gave me so much..I still don't have a ton of money...but for the thought mostly. Like I said, they are older and well off and I just don't know what to get them So I was hoping maybe you gals had some ideas Oh, and btw...Her and her daughter out of the blue decided to come all the way to Mexico to attend my wedding and they already booked and paid in full for their trip....I can't believe it!!! Thanks!

Jill, What an awesome review!!! I was waiting for this... I am so glad you had a wonderful time and that your wedding went off so well!!! You had so many amazing things for your guests...I would have loved to be there... I can't wait to see your pics. So is the construction at FA really bad? I mean we will only be there for the wedding, so one night...but you said they were building a wall behind he firepit and the condo construction...will we hear that all during the wedding? I just replied to the pm...so you are done this semester too! That's great! I feel the same way...I love christmas and for the last couple years it has sucked!! I haven't been shopping forever and I have to keep myself away because I will not come back home and study! Last year I didn't even put up a tree and shopped on Dec 23rd! This year i took a break on Thanksgiving morning and put my tree up and I will probably shop again this year on the 23rd... Just think this is the last year and then you can enjoy all the holidays you want to the fullest!!! Hang in there!!!
