That is such a good idea! I was wondering about this too, we are getting checks in the mail and since I have already cashed them I thought I should write the note. I just found out a camera is on it's way to our house and I know I will be using it that day. How excited am I to be getting a new camera.
  2. I am sorry to hear you are sad. Sometimes you just have to work through the sadness and other times you just have to go out and have fun. Not really sure which one will work for you right now. HUGS.
  3. Former Lake Tahoe wanna-be bride here...does that even make sense? Anyway I have some info so ask away.
  4. I am in the process of working on mine and thought I would share a few pre-wedding photos of it. Ignore the microwave and cat, they are not part of my grand vision. These are slowly sinking into the marshmallows so I will fix them up that day and just let gravity piss me off. Right now I am working on getting these tags done. The table I am using is 5 feet so things won't be as cramped as they are pictured.
  5. I feel like a dumb dog chasing it's tail when I try to sit and get my last minute wedding stuff done. Before I work on project "a" I have to get the last party of project "b" done and before I can get the last part of "b" done I need to go to Michaels/Target/grocery store. Once I realize I need to go to a store it is like midnight so I have to wait until the next morning. I wait, get up and try to start project "a" again and before I do that I have to get the last part of project "b" done.... Here is what I am currently "working" on http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/P4190088.jpg set the whole thing up last night (yah I am a party animal) http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/P4190089.jpg we are renting container so ignore the bags sitting on top of bowls. I am going to put more stuff on the actual table like candles (battery ones cant have real) and puff up the table decor. note the cat starving for attention staring out window. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/P4190091.jpg See my issue? I swear I am pretty well organized I just can't get these last few things done. Maybe I really don't want to because than all the fun stuff is done. I love creating stuff and I am going to go into some sort of crafting coma after the wedding. No joke- the second I found out my sister bought a house I starting thinking of how I could make her new home announcements with her address. Thank God she isn't crafty so she is letting me do them. Ok off, to Michaels, Target, or whatever!
  6. Well it looks they have it worked out and he is driving out to MN and he will have a friend with him so one more person at the wedding...don't care about that part.
  7. Alright! Have a wonderful time and make sure to hurry back to show us photos!
  8. Hope it all happens for you. Wishing you bling, wishing you bling, wishing you bling!
  9. YYYEAH! Happy wedding day! Hope it goes well.
  10. So funny, my Future Father in law just called the school to find out when they scheduled the prom and they said they released the date in October. I LOVE that he called to check on it. Still no other news.

  12. So we still have not heard from them but we are stepping in to our new plan. We asked one of the ushers to step up to groomsman and if the nephew comes we will be uneven but I seriously don't care. I have a friend who I would ask to be a bridesmaid but I have no clue what she would wear and she is already my personal attendant and doing tons of stuff. So if he doesn't come we will be balanced. There is a slight chance if the nephew can't come than Chris' neices won't either. They are minors and my FIL's would have to pay a fee to have them travel alone. Future FIL is a pilot so we are working it out. So I am trying to find a new usher too. I really am not super stressed. I am off from school until after the wedding and I have tons of stuff done, I am just doing last minute things.Thank GOD I haven't printed the programs yet
  13. I can't even imagine! You really would think with digital photos it would be faster but now there is tons of cool software to mess with them so that make the process longer.
  14. Now Chris feels like superman so he is going to try and make tons more $$ next week. He was afraid he was going to have to work the day before the wedding. That would have not worked well.

I would understand if we never asked when prom was, we knew it was a possibility so we checked and he never answered us. We even asked his mom but nothing. I swear they all have their heads up their butts.

I'm hightailing it outta there my first chance. This just doesn't feel right to me. I totally agree! That is very odd. I knew something was up at my old job when they put in new software and told the guy to not give me the password to my computer--WTF do I look dumb? Do you think I wouldn't catch on to that little detail? Turns out they decided to outsource my job and I was getting my hours cut and shoved in a new area at work. Hope you can find soemthing new and not feel so rocky.
  17. That sounds wonderful! Have fun.

Can you imagine two weeks before prom having your date tell you he can't take you! uuugh! This isn't the first conflict that has come up with the family, his neice was upset because she is missing part of her camping trip, again, they asked if there were any conflicts before booking the trip and they all said no. I am waiting for Chris to get up so he can check his email. He told them he had to know today what was going on.
  19. Ha! When I first looked I wondered why you also did blue tiles! Now I see they are wiring boxes. It looks great, nice job.
  20. Very pretty! The can use them after too.
  21. Chris and I have been struggling to come up with the last thousand for our wedding. We don't do credit cards (part of our situation right now) and we really didn't want to ask his folks for the money. He is self employed so if he doesn't sell than there just isn't the money. Yesterday he had a killer day and made that 1,000 bucks! I cried when I saw all the checks and knew we wouldn't have to worry anymore, it's all there. He normally makes about 50-150 a day but yesterday he sold more than he ever has so it really is a miracle. Ahhh breath a sigh of relief! I am such a dork because when I saw there was a little left over I asked if we could go to costco--I wanted some dried mango..mmm.
  22. Two weeks before the wedding and poor FH is smacked with this situation. His BM is his nephew, his brother died when he was in college and FH wanted the next best thing-his brothers' son standing by him on our wedding day. Down side to this is his nephew is 18 and they live out of state. We asked SEVERAL times if our wedding was a conflict with prom and not once did anyone say yes. Well today my Future FIL gets an email asking if they can move the fight time (FIL are paying for him to fly out) because nephew has prom that weekend and he has a date! Apparently not once in the last year did it dawn on them that our wedding is 5/2 and prom is 5/3! In order to move it they have to pay several hundred dollars and one option has him leaving moments after the ceremony or at 4:00am the next day. I am so beyond pissed right now! So we are thinking there is an extreme possibility that FH is going to have to find a new best man.
  23. That really sucks! Talk about nickle and diming people! It looks like you have a great TA who is going to help you through all this. Good luck.
