  1. Make sure you are using the IMG code. I am pretty sure that's the problem - you must have used one of the other codes and only the IMG should work on here. Can't wait to see them!
  2. Yes , Jen - AMAZING pics! You guys look ssoo happy!!!!! So, DH just told me he has a 50/50 chance of having his August 2010 deployment pushed up to January 2010. e-gads! I hope and pray that doesn't happen ... but nothing I can do about it ... and with everything going on over there now, it's anyone's guess what decisions Obama will decide on...
  3. Sorry I hadn't checked in here in a while. How is everyone doing?
  4. BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Did you have any problems with the priest b/c your dress didn't have sleeves? Here, our Catholic churches wouldn't let friends marry in the church if her dress didn't have sleeves or she wore a shrug over it. GREAT video!
  5. Just sent you my PayPal info. I will ship it out whenever you can send the $! I hope you love it!!! To everyone else - tank and undies still available!
  6. Here are some pics of the dress. I'm sorry the pics suck. I'm using my Blackberry b/c my camera is broken. It is a bit wrinkled from us just moving. 100% Silk And a pic to show that it hangs just below the knee.
  7. I think it looks great. Do you have a no-makeup photo so we can do a comparison? It looks very natural and I think will be beautiful on your wedding day. I don't even think it looks like you are wearing much make-up .... natural beauty!!!
  8. LOVE your dress!!!!! I don't think shorts will look so great with your dress, but what about this - have him wear slacks and a white shirt for the ceremony and change into his shorts for the reception? That way your pics will look fabulous and he will stay comfy for the longer part of the day?? DH wore his military dress blues for the ceremony and changed into a more casual outfit (khakis and a button down shirt) for the reception and it was perfect for us! We did formal pics in his dress blues before the ceremony and more fun pics in his casual wear after the ceremony. But - whatever makes YOU TWO happy is what you should do! It's YOUR day!
  9. Sorry I forgot to post sizes! Undies are a Medium and tank is a Large (although it seems to run a bit small). The tank is from www.custom-crystals.com. I am uploading pics of the dress right now. It was $148 retail and my sister paid $39.99 for it on clearance. I'll post a pic of the tag also. I will be happy to ship to Canada ... I just have to check the shipping cost.
  10. I made our wedding album on the software from Personalised Photo Books and Canvas Prints from Digital Photos and it is absolutely exceptional quality. Here is a link to our album photobook ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t30472 We ordered one for each set of parents and one for ourselves. We are also using this site for our canvases. Top-Notch quality.

  12. I was married at PPC, but with a larger group (40ppl) so we did the beach reception w/ buffett and dancing, which was perfect for us. Depending on how much $$ you want to spend - you can do dinner at no extra cost at any of the restaurants (they will section off an area for you and give you a set menu - which is what we did at Marino restaurant for our Rehearsal Dinner). Then, you could go to the Lobby Bar (BEST place on resort for dancing) and set up an area yourselves near the music. After having been there - that is what would be perfect (for us) with a guest list your size. The Lobby Bar is FUN and the area is big enough that you would have no problem getting a seating area there for you and your guests. After our reception was over - we all went to the Lobby Bar and continued dancing well into the night and it was one of the highlights for us and our guests. Everyone on our trip wants to go back and still talks about how awesome the nighlife was - especially at the Lobby Bar! (go there your first night and get to know the bartenders ... they WILL take care of you!) And in your wedding attire - you will never have to wait for a drink. Not sure if that is at all something you would like, especially if you haven't been there yet to see for yourself, but it's certainly an option that I am sure would not disappoint. GOOD LUCK!!!

  16. Perelada is one of my fave Cavas.
  17. oops. I meant Paradisus Palma Real - not PPC. My bad! :-) Melia Caribe is right there too, though - one resort closer than PPR.
  18. Oh just BEAUTIFUL! They are tiny but fantastic! Brings back such memories! You were one gorgeous bride! Where was your reception? That pic looks like its off the lobby
  19. Joyanna - I cant wait to see your pics!!!! I am also a PPC bride and can't say enough about it!!! The best way to upload pics is to put them on Photobucket and then copy/paste the IMG code into your post here on BDW. CONGRATS!!!!
  20. I actually used a regular size BumpIt yesterday when I wore my hair in a ponytail. It took some work, but I really liked it! Tried it again this morning and couldn't get my hair to cover up the darn thing. But if you have time to work with it - it will work. I mentioned earlier how fine my hair is ... but I used it on a day I didn't shampoo my hair, so the day-old hair helped give it more coarseness I think.
  21. I believe the closest resorts are Melia Caribe and Paradisus Punta Cana.
  22. Oh Jellyfish is ssoo amazing! We ate there 2x on our honeymoon and the food was absolutely PHENOMENAL. I looked at Jellyfish for our wedding and reception but we went with PPC for that and just did Jellyfish on our own. I definitely recommend it!!!!
  23. Yes - definitely time to drop it and lose this friggin' thread for good. I paid for my BD session/book and got an amazing 5x5 book - so you are even off-base whining about that. You mentioned in an earlier post that he is reading this thread - and if he is ... then WHY the hell would he want to deal with you anymore? You bash him and complain incessantly. I would say 'screw you' and not return your emails or phone calls either. You may need to look up the definition of 'free'...
  24. I should have been at work 2 hours ago. I am still in my bathrobe and haven't done my hair. WTF is my problem?! Damn BDW! :-)
  25. Is it a Catholic church? If so, then your shoulders have to be covered. Its like that at most any Catholic church. So, just keep that in mind as a bride or BM. You may need to have pashminas for the BM's if their dresses don't cover the shoulders.
