  1. I made cute little "Will you be my..... BRIDESMAIDS!" cards that masquaraded as valentine's day cards since I asked them in end of Jan beginning of Feb. This was before I knew they were selling these cards everywhere. I thought I was so original [sigh]. But they loved it and they turned out super cute.
  2. OMG, I just fell in love with this invitation. Thanks alot! I can't afford $10 each with 140 invitations to send! What do you guys think?
  3. Lauren - I want to do this as well, but Amy (amy&andy) posted that she thinks her postage was about $3-3.50. I have 140 invitations to do, so that would be over $400 just in shipping! Let me know if you find out they are cheaper, cuz they are def the invites that I want to do! 4. Thanks, I love it too. The colors are great and of course, I love those kids!
  5. I don't remember your first dress, but I LOVE this one!! Congrats!
  6. I am serioulsy considering doing them, but I have about 140 to do, so I am worried about the shipping. Can anyone tell me how much each one was? And whether you used glass or plastic? I wanted to use glass. I wonder how much the shipping difference is...
  7. How frigging cute are these shoes! I want them, but $200 is WAY too much money, esp since I went more then double over my budget for my dress... Stuart Weitzman Starfish (Nice Tan Nappa) - Flat Dress Sandals
  8. Well, with your answers, I think this is definitely the most original invitation I have ever heard. I esp love you will do it in Hebrew, the family will def appreciate that. I think you need to get to work cuz we are going to need a sampling soon, ya know.
  9. I think I am going towards something like you said, Lizz. My nephew is 17 months right now and his cutest outfit is his army print cargo shorts. I think I will go with shorts like that (in tan though) and either a white or blue shirt.
  10. Yay! Great pics, and I can't say it enough, your engagement story is THE BEST I have ever heard. I absolutely love what Shawn (and Leigh!) did!
  11. Well, they look great together. And I agree, I am having a hard time finding anything that seems like "me". Like something that I would want part of my decor.
  12. Sarah, where did you get your vases? Was it a set? I really like the look of them.
  13. Amy - I was looking for paper for myself and came across this flocked - Paper Source. The colors aren't turquoise, but but I thought if you had other colors in your theme, it might work. They are a little cheaper. Although, I still think Bridget's idea above to use this paper for a bad around the invites is a great one!
  14. I have never heard of this before. It is def original. I think it is a cool idea. I think if I got it in the mail though, I might be too lazy to stick it in the DVD player. I usually open my mail over the trashcan and under the calendar (to write whatever I need to). I know that is horrible, esp since I am putting so much thought into my own invites, but that's how I open my mail! Maybe if you included a letter (or DVD label) to state what it is, you might get someone like me quicker to my DVD player...
  15. That is a great idea! I hadn't even thought of that. I had some invites that I loved with the band around them.
  16. Wow, 9 years is a long time. I am happy for you!
  17. I know. I see both sides of that, cuz I have already been engaged 9 months. How that happened, I have no idea! So halfway there...
  18. It's beautiful paper, but your nutz for wanting this! Did that help? Perhaps you can buy it and use to to scrapbook wedding photos, instead of having to create all your invites with it. It is beautiful paper, but I just couldn't even consider it. BUT if you have to have it, I would get the 1st, slightly more expensive one, it is just nicer. Lotsa help I am, right!
  19. I think what Annie said is perfect. You can stuff it with something, then cork it or tape it, whatever. I hadn't considered this problem, we are doing the sand ceremony also.
  20. I am so torn between these and the boarding passes. I already have my boarding passes created, but I hate having to cut them out! And I love this idea! Humpf. The price seems pretty good also. For those that did this, what did your insert (invitation) look like? Since you have seen them, will they be messy for people to open? I would hate to choose this and then have everyone annoyed at spilling sand everywhere...
  21. Maria, I know exactly what dress you are talking about! I saved it to see if I could replicate it in my colors! I wonder if she would mind if I posted a pic of it... Little people are just so adorable when they are in their 'dress clothes'. I think my favorite flowergirl dress that I've seen has been the one Nabumbah had for her wedding (the blue/green dress that someone in her family made).... It was so unique and so cute on the little girl!!!
  22. Oh man, that sucks. Mine are 6 pages long too, I don't wanna cut that out. But creating an assemly line is a good idea. I think my standards would drop after the first few invites too, so I will let you know how I end up making out. Maybe I WILL just order them from Aylee! Quote: Originally Posted by IrieBride08 Hey Carly! Yeah girl, I DID have to cut each and every one out! Talk about a pain. I'll caution you with this route, because no one's standards will be as high as your own! LOL!! I found this out the hard way cuz my mother and aunts totally jacked up SEVERAL! (I never knew she couldn't cut a straight line!) Then there were several that were stapled together out of order or with two of the same panel. Overall, a fun bonding experience!
