I am having trouble uploading pictures to my gallery, is anyone else experiencing issues? It works and works and works and then it only loads a pic with a red X. Humpf.

I don't know if anyone looks forward to it prior to going. I was too scared everything was going to look bad on me. I am a pretty casual dresser normally, but I also like to get spiffed up (Yes, I said "spiffed up" hahahaha). But once I went out and saw that the majority of them look beautiful on, it was alot more fun. I mean, I don't want to ever have to do it again, cuz I hate the interaction with a woman that you don't even know dressing you and all, but once it started, it was fun while it lasted. But I am glad it's over.

Congrats! That is a great deal! Even if you do have to purchase a new crinoline, the deal on the dress makes it worth it! yay!

Yeah, I love the message in a bottle invites too, but we have over 200 people (stupid large-ass families :-) ), so I needed to try to keep it more simple. Good luck with that and be sure to post pics when complete!

It isn't even happening to me, but it is weird. Weird in the best way possible of course! I used to not really care for children, more cuz I don't know anything about them, then b/c I dislike them. But my sis has 2 kids now and they are my favorite people in the world. Just like that, I was different and totally enamored by them. All the sudden your life has more meaning. (Not to imply meaning-less-ness before! Lol.)

Ok, per Heidi's suggestiong, here is a new thread for my boarding passes. I wanted to see if there was any changes you guys could think of - things I am missing, things to be taken out, etc... It might look a little weird, cuz I wanted you to be able to see the fonts, so I copied them into paint and then pasted into word, so the sizes might be a little off, but they aren't on the actual document... Ok, so I pasted them in Word so you can all see the right fonts, but now I don't know how to get them into this thread??! Anyone know how to add an attachment to the thread?

Darnit, I always mess thing up, or make them more difficult. I don't have the ability to save as a pdf, I will try to figure something out...

Oh crap, I didn't think of that. The m's down the side are actually hibiscus and the a (i think that is the letter) is a hibiscus as well. It is a font I got from dafont.com... I forgot that you need that to see the actual flowers.

Well, I don't HAVE to do a payment plan, but once it is fully paid, I have to store it. So I figure if I work out a plan, they will keep it safe for me for a few months. If I was to take it home tomorrow, it would have to stay at my parents house with 4 dogs and 2 kids under 4, so it would be in danger every day. My neice LOVES to dress up. So I am figuring that the longer I can get them to store it for me, the better! I DO feel much better. I love this dress. I don't look in the mirror and think, "it is going to look so good when I lose 10 lbs". I look in the mirror and just BEAM. No negative thoughts about it at all. I am not sure if I can/will get pics tomorrow though. Tonight we are having our "block party" and tomorrow I have a pretty full day, so if I am hungover and all bleery eyed, I ain't doing it! But the shop is only a few miles from my house, so I can stop by another time for pics. I think it is too much money, but any other dress would have been settling.

Thanks a lot, Julie! I had to call and put a deposit on the dress. I mean I was already freaking out that the other girl was going to buy it, but seriously, I am not going to get a better discount then 40% off! The good thing is, they only required a deposit and will accept a payment plan, so I put the deposit and tomorrow I go in to sign the contract. Yay! It is what I should'be done in the first place.

Oh, she's seen it on me and agrees that it is the nicest, but she can't get past the price tag even though I am paying the difference. I have the bridal salon calling me back with a final price and I think I am just going to buy it, cuz the thought of that other girl buying it makes me want to cry

Thanks, Julie! I know, my mom is home today (she is contributing $1k towards the dress), so I am tempted to tell her to run over and pick it up. I have cramps so bad right now though, that I can't even sit up straight let alone pick up the phone.

I haven't been able to find that dress anywhere else, but I also found that all the Lazaro's are flattering to my body, so I think I will just stalk ebay and discount online stores. I did return the ebay dress. The store that I bought it from claims to have over 4,000 sample dresses in stock, so I told her that I am interested in any Lazaro she has. We shall see. The only way I can afford the Lazaro from the salon is buying the sample (40% off), and there is another girl interested in it. This has been my #1 dress for 8 months, so I am so tempted to snatch it up before this other girl, but I am trying to hold out to see if I can get a better price... Hmm, RB Bridal doesn't have Lazaro listed. I will search other sites as well...

That sounds like one place I originally looked at (forget the name, but it was in Jamaica as well). Since it was AI, they charged a flat rate of $xxx to set us up a private reception apart from the rest of the restaurant. I tried to get Beaches to do that, but it hasn't worked yet. I just can't afford the extra $75/pp, unless all the people that say they are booking actually don't. For the amount that are booked now, we could afford it, but practically everyone says they are coming. I doubt they will, but still.

Mo - thank you so much for the details! I am not sure if we are going to go this route, but I def wanted to look into our options. I think it is ridic to pay $75/pp at an all-inclusive!

I think this thread got to me. I had a dream (NIGHTMARE!) last night that my ring fell apart while washing my hands!

Well, ladies, I suppose it was a false alarm. I returned the dress last night, after dress hunting all day again yesterday. I keep coming back to the same dress, the Lazaro in my original post. I am pretty sure that's the dress, but it is like 3x's more then I wanted to spend. I still love that dress that I got from EBAY, but it just wasn't a flattering cut on my body. Thanks for all your support and kind words, I will post again when I get my "real" dress.
