  1. Alyssa - they left already, but I sent my mom a text message. I will let you know what she says (I think they are still en route now). I have her doing other hunting for me, since hibiscus is my official wedding flowers, I gave her a few missions of my own. Quote: Originally Posted by Mrs.B 2008 Wow! 2. Damnit, I just had a whole big response typed in and it timed out. Def let us know what your sis says.
  3. Julie - great pics! I love the ones where he is holding your train. Oh and the ones in the tall grass! So cool.
  4. That's funny, cuz that was my same thought since my AHR is 2 months after my wedding!
  5. I am reading Morgan's post right now, let's see if that helps. I don't have Photoshop, so I will try the PowerPoint one. Thanks ladies! I will let you know if i need help. Crap, I just realized it's for Power Point AND Photoshop. If I make some stuff up in PP, one of you can help in Photoshop? Thanks a bunch!
  6. So I would like to order postcards thru VistaPrint with pictures of Beaches like a few of you have done for other locations. I am not tech-savvy when it comes to graphics and programs like that. Can someone tell me how to make the pictures the right dimensions for the upload to VistaPrint? Holy crap, I just noticed I am down to 1,110 posts! I thought I was in the upper half and almost to 2,000. Damn, I better get to posting.
  7. Oh, that's gorgeous! I think that is the dress that SusanK just wore a few weeks ago in her wedding.
  8. Jaime, how'd you get it to give you all girls? I kept getting men in mine. I guess I didn't look enough like 8 woman. It's giving me a complex about being manly! hahahahaa
  9. The siggy is super small on my screen... Hey, I know what you mean, they came back with Carl Lewis for me! First off, he's a man! I don't think I am manly :-(. Second off, different races!! hahahahahahaa
  10. Pictures, you better get posting! Dont tease us like that!
  11. Mo, I am so happy for you! I hope everything is going smoothly, and I can't wait to hear all about it. AFTER your honeymoon, that is...
  12. Fancy schmancy, Alyssa! I like the color! Hey, wait, how's you cahnge the font? I tried like a billion times (ok maybe twice) and it never changes the font. I wanted something scripty or handwritten looking...
  13. My parents are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow, want me to give them a job for you?
  14. That's awesome, Tami! Isn't it funny how they surprise us when they get it right occasionally?
  15. Wow, talk about drama. I'd be going crazy too! Check back in AS SOON AS she responds!
  16. I am totally wearing my dress again! I absolutely love it and I can't imagine NOT wearing it to the wedding reception. There might be 2 months in between my wedding and reception, but I don't care! The majority of the people won't be in Jamaica and we are treating our AHR as a regular reception. Photog, music, restaurant, the whole deal, so it would be kinda silly to not wear the dress. Obviously I don't think it's tacky, since I am doing it, and you have to do what you are comfortable with, but keep in mind that your FI is a man and sometimes they just don't know!
  17. Also, I forgot to mention in my last post, our old roommate and his FI are planning a DW (only to DE, but still, it's a DW), for like 3 weeks after ours. We will be able to make it to theirs since spedning a weekend in DE isn't as expensive as going to Jamaica, but we have been very clear with him that we more then undersntad if they can't come to Jamaica. I mean, ours was being planned like 10 months before they made their plan, but still, I don't expect them to plan around me and I totally understood that their wedding should coem before ours in their lives. If that makes sense. We wnat them to come of course, but 3 weeks before their wedding? Who would have time or $ for that?
  18. Maria - I never knew that story. I can't imagine having to go thru adoption. But that is great that you were able to step in and help straighten her life out. I don't understand how were these people able to adopt in the first place?? I am so sorry that your daughter had to go thru that in her life, but she seems lucky to be back with you. It's taken 3 years to get Audrey's life stabilized and focused in the right direction. There isn't anything I want to see happen that would throw it all out the window again...
  19. I second what has been said above. Ireland is way more expensive then Jamaica and your wedding is less then 1 year away, how are you to save for your own wedding and then an additional trip to Ireland 2 months before? I think they should understnad the situation.
  20. Sarah, you are always so eloquent! I love reading your posts sometimes.
  21. I used to click on this site daily (along with the others connected to it thehungersite, thebreastcancersite, childhealthsite, literacysite, rainforestsite, animalrescuesite.) I completely forgot about it! Thanks for the reminder. The stores usually have some pretty cool stuff in them also...
  22. OMG, i hear ya with the "not quick enough for family". My FMIL bought a mini-van this year, cuz her daughter had one toddler and was prego at the time (baby now a month or two old), and she said, well i will need the space for you and Matt's kids too! I was like, slow your roll lady! But she was thinknig for the future, she doesn't pressure me (us) or anything, she was buying a new car and figured she might as well buy what she will need in the future!
  23. Congratulations! It is to exciting to know the sex of the baby, it makes it so much more real. I say that from my expereinces with friends kids, def not mine since I don't have any! hahahahahaa
