  2. What if you get some little business cards done up just with a note on them saying "due to a printing error blah blah blah call this number instead" and stick them in the envelope with your STDs? Most local print shops will have them done for you in a day or two and they're pretty inexpensive.
  3. I just heard on the radio the other day that the Melting Pot in Buffalo is having a Girls Night - it's something like $30pp for the full meal, and they're having people come in to do spa treatments and stuff I think....what if you check to see if yours is doign something similar? That might be fun!

  5. We had everyone book their own thing too - much cheaper than a group rate and it was better because people on smaller budgets booked over at the Maya Beach and Caribe sides, and then people with bigger budgets booked at the Tropical and Colonial...it worked out really well for us (but we're all pretty easy going and it didn't matter to us that we weren't all staying together). The only thing we did was give out our TA info in case they wanted to book through her.
  6. We did dinner for mine which was about $30pp then we went to a Salsa club for Salsa lesson where it was just whatever people wanted to pay for drinks (but my sister bought the first round for everyone) and then to another nightclub...cover was $20pp but that included 2 drinks, limo pickup from the Salsa club, and then it dropped us off wherever we wanted...so we were about $50pp plus whatever people wanted to pay for drinks on top of the free ones they got
  7. I'm pretty sure white roses are customary, but I don't really think it matters...
  8. So I just talked to my cousin on MSN and basically this is what's going on...not freaking out as much know...it's always so much worse when you don't know the full story, you know? You always think the worst... I'll just copy and paste what he said to me; melissa says: so wtf dude...how did you find out:? it just seems kinda random, u know? Cняιѕ яosέŁŁі ℓιиdѕαу ...Fат●Sqυаd... says: lmao well ive had these things for about 6 years now and i get dissy and loose my memory for like a minute and i zone out.....and the doctors said its a thing called optic migrains and so we left it at that....so my mom decided that we should go and get it checked this week cuz it happened in front of my mom and she was kinda worried....so we went and they sent me for an MRI and they found some Cняιѕ яosέŁŁі ℓιиdѕαу ...Fат●Sqυаd... says: sort of growth in the back left part of my skull....close 2 my brain but its not touching and they say that that its not harming anything ....its just giving me these things once and i while so i went for more MRI's 2day from different angles and now we need 2 take the pics 2 a nurologest and decide what it is for sure and decide what were going 2 do about it So for now they're just playing the waiting game, but he seems totally cool and not worried at all....if it were me I'd be freaking but he's totally calm about it! (And he said that meeting his dad today went great and that they're going to keep in touch so if nothing else, at least something good came out of all of this)
  9. Thanks everyone - I just went out for coffee with my sister and she said he's going for some tests tomorrow to find out more. I don't even know how he found out he had a tumor...he was perfectly fine when I talked to him just a few days ago. It's so scary to think that things like this can just come out of nowhere. I think what's upsetting me most is how upset my dad is over it - I haven't seen him torn up over something like this in a long long time. I can't imagine how much worse he'll feel if it turns out to be malignant. I think everyone is feeling kind of guilty right now because when my uncle walked out of Chris' life none of us really bothered to keep in contact with him (although in my defense I was pretty young too and didn't really understand what was going on). And now there's something wrong with him and I think everyone's worrying about how they didn't spend the time with him that they should have. Blah sorry I'm totally rambling...I'll keep you all updated when I find out more. Fingers crossed it's nothing big!! Thanks again to all of you. This has been such a tough year for me and you've all helped me tremendously!!
  10. This year has been such a shitty one, it seems like I'm just one big shit magnet lately.
  11. My mom just called me to tell me that one of my cousins just found out he has a brain tumour. I don't even know what to do...most of my life I grew up not knowing him because my uncle left my cousin and his mom when my cousin was really young, but within the last year or so we've gotten back in touch and have become pretty close...we talk just about every day now. She said that she doesn't know if it's malignant or benign because she was getting the info 2nd hand from my dad, but my cousin and his mom showed up at my uncle's work today and I'm not taking that as a good sign because my cousin hasn't seen his dad in 16 years until today. He's such a good kid - he just graduated from high school last year and got accepted into every college he applied to and he was super excited about going to college this year and now his whole future is up in the air. He's so talented and funny and just an all around good kid and I love him to death and want him to be ok...I just don't know what to do to help or what to say to him or anything... I'm really sorry if this isn't making any sense, I'm totally flipping out right now and have no one else to talk to.
  12. I have a txt file checklist that I used that was pretty helpful - if you PM me with your email address I can send it to you.

  15. Mijo looks like such a ham! They're all so adorable! I miss having fur babies
  16. No but even still...what if you lose all your teeth and then all you have is this one implant left there LOL Totally dumb, I know, but I'd be so afraid of that happening.
  17. Oh that stinks, Alyssa - hope you're feeling better soon! This might be a stupid question, but are the posts for the implants super visible? I always have these visions of when someone gets old and loses teeth that they'll just have this big ol' post stickin up out of their gums.
  18. I hope if they're turning the Sunscape into Dreams that they tear it down to the ground and rebuild...that place was nasty last time I saw it!

  21. Don't stress - why not have them print just a single one out for you so you can see if you like it or not?

  24. In our first apartment I had these 2 vintage travel posters in the living room...they were framed nice and they looked really good with our black leather couches and whatever else (I had seen them in a model home and loved the way they looked so I hunted them down for myself)... http://www.enjoyart.com/library/trav...eti_safari.jpg Mystic South Africa Vintage Africa Travel and Tourism Poster Art - Enjoy Art Anyways, SIL thought we were going for a "safari" theme and bought us these lovely lamps (and by lovely I mean I threw up in my mouth when I saw them). They're so ugly I can't even find a picture online...but they resembled this; http://www.minitots.com/i/di.asp?ima...pg&w=500&h=500 but with burgundy lamp shades and a nice big gold plaque on the front of each one that said "Venus Collection". Needless to say they accidentally (and by accidentally I mean I threw them on the floor a few times...hard) got damaged during a move
  25. It looks great, Martha! It reminds me of how I used to have my hair!
