  3. I'm soooo happy with my wedding shirts, they are just as I designed them. They are going in my bm's and moh's giftbags along with jewelry and matching flip-flops. (and moh gets a watch too) I know some people think the idea of bm shirts is cheesy but this should be my only wedding so I'm excited, lol. One is for me too of course...hehehe. I really needed some joy today so I had to share. Sorry I still suck at resizing so I had to paste them here:
  4. Hi Heather! Naturally I vote for Las Caletas too!! The WC is totally easy to work with and it has been virtually effortless on my part. You should come in under budget there even if you do the deluxe package, and you'll come in way under budget if you do the intimate package. I also have about 35 guests and I opted out of blocking rooms because it was just too difficult to find one resort that we loved that could accomodate everyone. We're staying at Dreams with about 10 of the guests, everyone else is all over from Mismaloya to Marina Vallarta. Some people rented homes/condos. We would not have been able to meet the requirements to block rooms as all of our guests couldn't commit to booking at the same time/place. So it's nice if you can do it but if not don't stress about the group hotel. There are tons of us here to try and answer your questions but definitely look in to Las Caletas.
  5. Yep oriental trading has nice ones cheap with cute designs..check them out: Party supplies, crafts, party decorations, toys: Oriental Trading
  6. Welcome Rachel!!! We love our Las Caletas brides here! I'm heading down there in about 2 weeks and Ann (akh) is right behind me. Ask away!
  7. Ahh, yes. Scents evoke the strongest memories. I will be wearing Vanille Noire du Mexique Eau de Toilette (by La Maison de la Vanille). It's soooo me. I love their vanilla scents and this so happened to be their Mexican version that I have never used before. I have not opened it because I want to wear it for the first time on my wedding day. After that I'm going to wear it out!!!
  8. Wow!! Your Jamaican wedding was beautiful!!! You look amazing and so does everyone else. Cute poses!!
  9. Wow I should have ebayed or had a copy made, too late for me. The veil I got is beautiful but dang!!! For $150 I could have got some killer shoes!! Now maybe I can ebay mine for profit when I'm done....

  11. 2 weeks out and still undecided can you believe that? Either "You Make Love Like Springtime" by Teena Marie (title says it all), "Wildchild" by Tony Toni Tone because it reminds us of us, "Timeless" by India.Arie because it has such a happy love message, or "Lost Without U" by Robin Thicke because it's pretty and we can't get it out of our heads lately so it will always remind us of getting ready for the wedding. Umm, guess we aren't ready to go yet )
  12. Yay! I hope it went well and you had time to enjoy it )
  13. Boo! Well at least you're still a year out so you have time to find the right place.
  14. I went veil shopping yesterday and my was I surprised. The first one I loved was $350 - almost as much as my dress. WTF?!?! I managed to escape with a $150 veil with silver/crystal trim that I love. I'm not sure what material veils are made of but they all look like netting to me, unless it is spun out of silk why do they cost so much? Arrgh . . .
  15. I know I've said this before but I love that dress!!! And you two are the cutest together. Everything is beautiful, you even have the perfect looking palm trees and tropical background going on. Congrats!
  16. It won't make you look dirty, it will make his shirt look white and your dress look off-white like they are. . . so what? That woman just had her own vision of weddings that doesn't apply to you. I bet you she was single too, lol. The people who try to give me dumb advice like that are. You'll look fine )
  17. You know...that was our first idea of a wedding venue & hotel in one. There are some stunning villas. The one we wanted was $1000/nt which wasn't bad but they restricted the number of wedding guests to like 50 so we didn't do it. Villas are an awesome place to stay though, most come with cooks and houseboys too, lol. True luxury )
  18. I know Amy I tripped out when I saw that! I remember when CL was just in Cali. Maybe it's still new in PV and things will start to grow on their site like they do in the other cities.
  19. Welcome What a beautiful location...happy planning!
  20. I'm also scared to ship. I flew home for my shower last month and packed a suitcase full of stuff to give to my mom and some bridesmaids to carry for me. That really helped and cut what I have to bring in half. It looks like I will still have one big suitcase full of stuff, but that means I'll have an empty suitcase to pack with souveniers on the return trip!!
