No, they will not know you have multiple dates reserved at other resorts. It is better to reserve the date at a few places you are interested in rather than risk someone else taking your date.

That's a great deal, too bad my dates of travel are 5/7 - 5/14.

Karen, thanks so much for posting your experiences at Dreams! We were talking about getting married here before we left, and actually were talking about getting married in Vegas when we are the Nov 2-5. We decided against it because we did not want to take away from our "real" wedding. I am hoping that we will be able to have an English legal ceremony.

My FI and I were just planning on getting married in the states before or shortly after we went to Mexico but we are now thinking about getting legally married in Mexico. I just have a question: To get legally married in MX, the ceremony has to be in spanish, correct?

I have not once ever talked to Landy so I do not have her info. Worse comes to worse, you can send an email to the main email on the Dreams site and put in the subject TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF LANDY, VERY IMPORTANT!!! It will get to her in a day or two. I just got am email from Sandra today, the second one from her this week. SOMEHOW she states that I sent her my "wedding info" sheet stating that our wedding was May 11 (sunday) not May 10th! I am a bit upset about that b/c I have a copy of everything I had ever sent her and they all say May 10th. She claims no one would have altered the document so basically it is my word verses hers. We originally were the 1st couple to book on May 10th at 5:00pm. She now claims that we are able to have it on May 10th, just not until 6pm. Will that give us enough time for our cocktail hour, reception, and dancing?

Umm yea, I would say that would fall into the "wierd" category!!

*How are you girls going about entertainment for your guests? As far as entertainment for the reception, we plan to rent the IPOD speaker system and have a lot of music for dancing and such. Once it gets later and we have to turn it off (10 or 11 I think), we plan to head to the disco. As far as entertain during the week, we plan to organize a few excursions that are optional for our guests. We are thinking about a fishing trip for the guys while the girls go to PDC shopping for the day. I am also thinking of possibly doing a day at Xel-ha or something similar. *What TA are you girls using? I used a local TA but am kinda wishing I used Tami who has more experience with DW's. We ended up booking through Apple Vacations. *Does their packages include a Mariachi band? We are booking the Ultimate Wedding package which includes a Mexican Trio. *Does anyone know how close DT is to EDR? I believe it is approx 30 mins or so but I may be wrong. *What are the options for ceremony, and reception sites? You can have your wedding in the gazebo, in the chapel, or on the beach. I used some on my invites and I just let them air out for a week or so. It usually does the trick.

That is exactly what we did Tami! We had planned to do a "formal" invite and the boarding passes as our STD's but since we have a fairly small, intimate group of family going we decided to have fun with it and send the boarding passes. I know they will enjoy receiving the boarding passes more than a formal invite.
